Maximum Slayer Points

Goonstalf

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty much just barely starting to train my Slayer  And I was wondering if there was a certain order of Slayer Masters I should do to get the maximum Slayer Points.

Or is my best option just to use Duradel over and over again?

Thanks for any advice offered

(and b4 anyone asks, yes i have done Smoking Kills)

If you want slayer exp over points, use duradel, summona or lost city, depending on your stats. Thats what I do, and I get plenty of points. I hear that people use the second lowest slayer master for tasks 1-9 and then hop to duradel for every 10th/50th task. The exp would suck, but I suppose you would get slayer points alot faster, if they're really that much important to you.

tis true. i find a good medium in summona 12 points a task but the tasks are not nearly as long as some of the shilo tasks

i seriously am against using any other master other than duradel.

being 90 slayer ive tried other masters, and they give horrible tasks compared to him.

In Jagex database (Slayer FAQ) I find this info:

Slayer Master Points per task

Mazchna 1

Vannaka 4

Chaeldar 10

Sumona 12

Duradel 15

Points are awarded for every task you complete after your fourth, until you have a task changed by Turael. For instance, your first four tasks will earn you no points, but from the fifth task onwards you will receive points. If you ask Turael to change a task, you will have to complete another four tasks before you can earn points again.

The number of points you receive depend on the Slayer Master who assigns your tasks.

You will also receive bonus points for every ten and fifty tasks you complete.

You can trade these points in with the Slayer Masters for a variety of equipment, Slayer experience, training and other handy rewards. For example, you could use 35 points to buy enough runes to cast Slayer Dart 250 times, or save up and spend 400 points to learn how to make the fantastic Slayer helmet...

- "I am willing to die...I mean try" - Jewelfire (Want to go bossing?)
-"we tried, we cried and we died!" - Limparse (What happens to old farts and tarts on monster-hunts)
- "...and we found out that there are as many ways to get to warriors guild
...as there are elders trying to get there" - Lysi
*snods agely* sorry... *nods sagely* - Brammy

not having special treatment and unique things added in to everything." - Sy_Accursed

If it is XP you want then Duradel everytime.

If you need slayer points for helm/rings then only use Duradel for the 10th tasks (10, 20, 30 etc.) and use the Canifis master for the rest. His tasks are quick and you can power through them to get Duradels huge bonus, plus Duradel assigns nasty tasks you will want points to ban.

I think 500 is the maximum points you can get. I would get helm first then rings, banning tasks as you go. When you have spare points I'd get the broad bolts/arrows ability as it may be used in future content (quests/diaries) but make sure you leave 30 points free for a skip if need be.

I have banned Warped Terrorbirds and Skelly Wyverns and will be banning Steel Dragons once I get them. All other tasks are bearable. The only reason I dislike steels is they are slow, and you tend to have to fight other players and iron dragons for the spawn. They were OK when they were in small tasks but these days they are not nice.

Depending on your preference you can do one of two things:

Stick with Duradel all the way (I don't know why people keep saying he's the best; I like Chaeldar the most while Duradel's tasks in my opinion are second worst only to the Burthrope master.)

Go with Machezna in Canifis for 9 tasks and then switch to Duradel for the point multiplier. You get 9 points + 75 for each task 1-40 and 9 + 255 I think for 41-50. Machezna's tasks are quick, therefore they're viable for taking up tasks for getting to Duradel quickly.

First one maximizes slayer exp

Second one maximizes slayer points

Take your pick :)

wyverns are a really good task dunno why you would block them with 68 summoning

can easily get 40-50+ kills a trip and i got 3 legs and a visage already. along with hundreds of crimsons

hitting almost 50% is not bad in the 40s very common with flashing piety.

id say just use sumona till you block metals and black dragons from duradel. you can power points through sumona with cave crawler and banshee tasks fairly often

Skelly Wyverns are hard work. You can safe spot them, but you need to wait til they go non-aggro and even then they suck.

Iron drags are bearable with slayer helm and black drags are great now you can use the babies in the Chaos Tunnels.

Duradel give the best tasks and the best points, Accept no substitute.

Honestly, after you seriously train for even a couple of levels, you'll notice that the points are really meaningless, it's just nice to have a cushion to cancel a good task that you just don't feel like doing at the time.

What I do is go to Mazchna for the first 4 tasks, then use Duradel after that. Mazchna ios much faster for getting to task 5, where you start earning points. Then, using Duradel, you get points and xp.

Right after doing the quest, I used chaeldar to build up points. Once I had enough to block a task, I went to shilo. Now doing constantly shilo (since I got 4 tasks on blocklist, slayhelm, slayring-knowledge and fletch-knowledge) because I always got enough points to skip a task.

I also have skelly wyverns and steel dragons blocked, because they just go a tad bit too slow. They aren't difficult. Just too slow to level slayer effectively.

I would suggest to just stick with durandel. You will have enough slayer points for a helm and slayer ring in no time really. And actually I went for slayer ring first. I just love the teleport function of that one.

With the slayer ring and ring of dueling in my inventory I can bank and re-pot extremely quickly in case I get more loot than expected or I accidently run out of some necessities. I love it.
