What's your favorite, what's your least, what dissapointed you and what surprised you? Tell us all about it! Does December '07 count as '08?Sigh. For other people like Dragonsoon: the year 2008 goes from january 1st 2008 untill december 31 2008. So, not from december 2007 till january 2009 or something. I was rather dissapointed with Obituary's new album, they really have lost their touch... I'll think of more stuff later, but that's my contribution so far. WookieeMania12 Posted November 19, 2008 Share Posted November 19, 2008 Well, what else can you do when you have Metallica, Disturbed, Rise Against, Journey, Black Stone Cherry, etc being released in the same year? My favorite of all the cds released so far is Death Magnetic. It was nice hearing Metallica returning back to their old roots (I'd say this is a mix between Justice and the Black Album). My least favorite is Scars of Broadway's s/t debut. Look, I don't hate it, but it just could have been better. They Say is still a good song though. (I saw them live in Dec. 2007, and that was just before they released Protest.) Escape The Fate's album is good too, I just got that recently actually. Other than that, I can't say I was amazingly excited for anything. I'm sure there was plenty of good stuff though. But my favourite would have to be the new Kaiser Chiefs album Off With Their Heads. Most surprising would have be a toss up between AC/DC's Black Ice and Metallica's Death Magnetic. For an actual cd, one of my favourites so far has been the Triple J's Like a Version which is just of people doing covers of other peoples songs.
