10k strengh xp and the ability to realize that Jagex never rewards high levels

More than likely, I've always thought even *1K x Your Level In That Skill* for a "medium length" quest (which takes about an hour) would be sufficient.

My guess is it will be designed like Recipe for Disaster with many small quests put together. But after finishing a part of the quest you will unlock something new related to the main skill needed for the portion. Example new trees to cut or new mining areas. Therefore you are required to have high levels in all the skills to complete the quest but you won't miss out on the quest entirely if you have some low skills. It also allows everyone to benefit from the quest. Then at the finish of the quest you would be rewarded some new equipment most likely dragon plate.

All skills 80+

Havnt read the whole thread so pardon me if someone posted this already.

I think there will either be a new spell book with a new staff, or exansion to the ancient magiks spell book.

I have a feeling this quest reward will be "mage-based" if anything.

Who? Who classifies 70 as high? That's not even 1/13th to 99. The only people that classify 70 as high are the level 50s.

Its not even 1/13th from the experience perspective. However, from a total use perspective, it is over 2/3rds of the way to 99.

the levels you gain between 70-99 may require increasingly godly amounts of experience, but the levels themselves arent actually any better than any other level you've earned. the bonus from 98-99 is the same as the bonus from 1-2, its just that by the time you have 98-99, you have the accumulated bonus of 1-98.

so yes, 70 is high in terms of skill usefulness, but low on a scale of exp required out of the maximum possible level range.

Reverents can be a pain, but you can run away from them. Just curious, do they still have teleblocking ability?

Fear the church, the reverents have 85 magic!!!!

I'd definitely say new prayer book OR Belts would be awesome

Well I'd like to see maybe an increase the the max hit of magic spells maybe with the armadyl staff. Prayer book sounds neat but I'd settle for more prayers that go to 80 and beyond. The fact that we have a 99 HP cap limits high level weapons but maybe some better armour. All I hope is that whatever we get it isn't tradeable so those lazy rich players can't just buy them without having to work for it.

Why belts you know all us Runescape players wear fat strechy pants so we don't notice our weight gain. Duh... #-o

This is a bit of a stretch, but perhaps they'll allow for the crafting of elemental/cataclysmic runes? Along with this they could make special high-leveled spells that specifically use cataclysmic/elemental runes... possibly even make it to where you have to be wielding the staff of armadyl to use them.

As to how the runes would be crafted, the most obvious answer to that would the the ZMI altar. It's broken atm, so maybe you can fix it during the quest allowing you to combine one of each rune together by channeling them through an omni-staff... or the staff of armadyl.

Looking at all the ideas about dragonkin/stone of jas around i'd say jagex would have no problem making at quest with twice the parts of RFD

i'd really like a good untradeable item or even armour/weapons with non-combat requirements

I am thinking of a few things.

1) Something new to Smith. There are a few random open slots on the Smithing Interface.

2) A new town, or something to do with God Wars Dungeon (A new god)

3) Another helpful item like Barrows Gloves, or the Defender. :P

I hope a slayer monster with a lvl 95 slayer req.

Pretty much 100% sure some xp.

100% sure access to a new area where we can do some interesting stuff.

And I think we will be able to attach shoulder pads or something to a dragon chain to make a dragon platebody( using the mithril dragon forge of course \' )

(ie: another useless item)

70 melee stats aren't high.

*Looks at sig*

Of course :P

But yeah, 70 stats really don't take long to get in the average skill. There are certain exceptions on skills which contain a very slow xp rate or a very high gp/xp ratio (such as RC, Herblore, respectively). However, neither of those applies to combat.

That is an interesting way of doing dragon "smithing". The ability to update previous dragon armour to make it better, although it'd only have a use with chain --> plate and even then that wouldn't be a platebody it'd be a chain with bigger shoulder pads. And maybe have a use with axe (add another head to get a pickaxe).

I honestly don't know what the reward could be but hopefully something worthwhile.

Now to do all the quests I haven't done yet -.-
