Static cling and magnetism spells!

Here are two spells I've thought up to give magic a little more combat use.

 

 

 

Magnetism: Requires level 80 magic: uses 5 earth, 1 cosmic, and 1 law

 

If successful, the opponent cannot remove any metal based head, chest, or legs item for 20 seconds.

 

 

 

Static Cling: Requires level 85 magic: uses 5 wind, 1 cosmic, and 1 law

 

If successful, the opponent cannot remove and cloth/leather based head, chest, or legs item for 20 seconds.

 

 

 

Available in the normal spellbook.

 

 

 

This would temporarily prevent meleers to simply switch to dragonhide/Karils for a short period of time, so you can take advantage of their magic weakness. Static cling would then prevent them from changing back, in case you want to melee them. After one is successfully used, they have a much higher chance of resisting the effects.

Support.

 

Mage is known to be defeated by this armor switch, so, utilizing the godwars charge spells, you just nail them with this and you could get a few good casts in, hitting hard, and even do all your needed TB/entangle spells.

It should be more of a random piece of armor rather than a selected one, so no popup menu would occur during pvp. Or there could be two of each, one at random one with selection. (Selection at a higher level of course)

I didnt see it mentioned anywhere...

 

 

 

And, I think having two spells would be good too, only allowing more time. Reduce these to 15 seconds and make higher level ones with 30 seconds.

 

 

 

This would make mage come out on top a lot more in fights; being extremely vulnerable to magic and there is nothing you can do about it. Cast this on another mage and rip out a DDS while he sits there and eats in his robes.

I'll support this also. :thumbsup:

 

 

 

While I am F2P, there is obviously room on this idea to create versions of the spells for both F2P and P2P... Such would allow a large keg of "WIN!" for everyone. Heck, maybe Jagex could make a quest or two for unlocking the different versions of these spells, one for F2P and the other for P2P. 8-)
