edwardelric87 Posted December 15, 2008 Share Posted December 15, 2008 For the last 2 to 3 months, prayer book pages have been rising up in price, due to the extreme rarity (some would even say removed from treasure trails) of prayer book pages. The only way to get these pages is from vyrewatch burning. Now all of the pages are crashing, and the Zamorak page has dropped from 1.1mil to a mere 600k, with no signs of stopping. It's a viable chance that it was always in the drop rate, but Jagex decided to tweak with the drop rates to make it extremely rare. It was in the KB but there have been some instances where the KB was wrong. But can someone explain to me when these prices rose above the 1 mil mark? I completed two books but a year ago (Now almost two years as the New Year approaches) and the Guthix book was about 100k to complete, the Zamorak book was about 100k-200k per page (so about 300k-600k)...I'm not sure if I completed the Saradomin book, I'll go check...Nope, I only have the incomplete book. But anyway, when did they rise so high? All I can say is I'm glad that I completed the books before the rise (although a bit disgruntled because if I saved the pages I might have made a few mill :lol: ), and maybe I should invest to complete a Saradomin book. More people got the books, then pages were entering the game because of the bug. Everyone knows that God book pages were put back in as clue scroll rewards so of course they're going to crash hard for the next month or however long it takes for their overinflated prices to come back down to where they should be. Randox Posted December 16, 2008 Share Posted December 16, 2008 I think Jagex had to do something to make them more common before there were massive demands that we be able to tear our prayer books apart and sell the pages off. The books are not worth millions of gp, and never should have reached that price. Appparently Jagex has decided to do something either to the drop rate or to the GE to effect that change.
