Crimson Shards

Nothing drops Crimsons shards given that there is no item in game by the name of "Crimson Shard"

I'll assume you are just being slow and mean Crimson Charms, ion which case rock lobsters and waterfiends are generally the most acclaimed droppers.

Though a few others such as greater demons have an ok drop rate

Obviously waterfiends and rock lobsters are the monsters of choice for most people, i'm sure you'll se a splattering of suggestions for those - but they're out of your league. Really, with your stats you can do better elsewhere.

There's not much choice for you. If you're serious, i'd get 65 slayer and kill dust devils. That's my advice to you.

If you can't be assed, greater demons. I hear flesh crawlers / cockroaches are good from some people, and crap from other people, you might want to try them out.

Well I'm not sure of good chrimson charm droppers, but I'm gonig for 70 summoning and i'm just killing firegiants and stacking up on tons of charms. They drop mainly gold, but i have gotten 6 of my 8 blue charms there, i've gotten probally abour 20+ green and 30+ chrimson (but like 200 gold)

What you could prob do is train on monsters for charms, spy on penguins and trade the points in for summom exp, then all lamps from diaries/randoms and the book of knowlage, use on summonoing too. It will cut tons of needed charms

As in, use Tears of Guthix-minigame for getting Summoning experience?

As far as I've understood from the whole Tears of Guthix-thing, then every tear is the same as your LOWEST skill?

Problem is, I only have 1 hunting, so all the tears would be worth 1 experience point each?

The best: Rock Lobsters and Waterfiends

3. Dust Devils (Their defense is LOL, just think of them as goblins with over 100 hitpoints)

4. Greater Demons (Being lvl-127+ helps a ton at Brimhaven Dungeon)

5. Cockroach Soldiers (these provide good loot, more $/hr than greaters and dusties)

You can also join the penguin hunting chat weekly for up to 15 penguin points which can be put towards more summoning xp. Since your Hunter level is still only 1, Tears of Guthix will essentially be of no use to your summoning level.

Slayer is bad exp, drops, and charms, but it gives Slayer xp.

I'd do Slayer personally though until you have higher stats, and then you should go to Waterfiends/continue Slaying.

Yeah slayer is bad xp drops and charms thats why soooo many people use slayer to make awesome money and get a ton of charms along the way

If you have any concept of what your doing an average slayer task can make you a good 50k+ in money, a good slice of xp and usually 50 - 300 charms

Obviously he's talking about xp/h cash/h and charms/h. And by that, he's right. You can get faster xp, cash and charms by fighting non-slayer.

But slayer gives slayer xp indeed, and there's the fun factor. For me, that's enough to slay, but for others it might not be. But in terms of effective xp, cash and charms, slayer just isn't top notch.

Still, I'd say, slay for charms.

Get your hunting lvl up and do you first lvls with tears of guthix and penguins, .... I only started using charms at lvl 40 and it saved me a lot of charms. I mean 17 xp per gold charm! Wait till you are lvl 52 with gold charms. Use greens on macaws and crimsons on honeycomb things, and later pyrelords. Save your blues to at least 57.

I agree by no means is slayer the best cash/h (other than some slayer monsters u need the lvl for) charms/h or xp/h - But in terms of the triple factor cash+charms+xp/hr its pretty darn good

Yep slayer does it all in one go.

The best bit about slayer is the variety, with getting the max exp/gp/charms per hour you have to camp in a set location, with slayer you visit various locations.

[hide=Drops]

  • Dragon Axe x11
    Berserker Ring x9
    Warrior Ring x8
    Seercull
    Dragon Med
Dragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kc
    Godsword Shard (bandos)
    Granite Maul x 3

Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats]

If by crimson shards you mean crimson charms then don't use them. Save for later. If you want just normal shards (all there is) you can buy them from the guy in taverly or trade pouches to the ogre in. . . I forgot where.
