I just cant stand it. No skill has ever drove me so crazy before. Maybe it's the extreme repetetiveness. Maybe it's the fact that there is no reward as you do it. Maybe its the fact that theres little to look forward to while levelling.

 

 

 

I want to get 92 fm for that awesome inferno adze, but I cant stand this skill, It's more boring than anything.

 

 

 

What is a more interesting way to level firemaking?

the only advice i can give is listen to music!

lol your post just made me laugh cos i had the same thought about firemaking haha i know its so boring so idk how to help you & im sorry if i replied & didn't even help... eek sorry!

You can go to the GE and start making fires in other peoples lines to get them mad.

Music also works fine.

train ur fm at GE and enter a clanchat. that way u can talk to pll and burn(i advise u train in free world=>more chance of meeting some1 who also trains his/her fm) but it will go a little slower cuz u often miss ur click so ull have to do 'you attempt to light ur logs' thing again. oh yea, use mapples at least, u can do losts of k xp/h that way.

 

GL and ull see at the end it will even become fun :thumbsup:

Is Shade Burning or Dorgshuun Lamp replacing a viable method, or is it too slow to consider? I dont want to spend forever on this.

Agreed with kent. Eucs are like 120gp cheaper than yews, and they are only like 5 xp less. They take a while to buy though.

yeah they're main purpose was for the quest and after that its fm

 

 

 

yews has so many other purposes thats why it more expensive

just do maples... it doesnt take that long 2 get till 92 witht them, u get ur logs almost emidiatly, and it doesnt cost that much

The adze is equivalent to a dragon woodcutting axe, or atleast thats what I heard. Which makes it good, surely?

 

It is also a time saver when you farm trees, albeit not much time saved but every little helps.

 

 

 

OT: Just go for it! Set your mind to it and make a big playlist that you can put on shuffle. Sorted.

my bro burned maple logs till 99 and he said it was awful! just listen to music or watch tv if you can, but stick in there cause its worth it!

Alright, so right now my options im considering are

 

 

 

Suck it up and burn maples.

 

Spend a little and burn Eucalyptus

 

Burn the hardest shades

 

Light Dorgeshuun bulbs.

 

 

 

Does anyone know what the fm xp per hour would be burning shades and the fm xp per hour for bulbs?

You should really just burn eucs. It'd be the fastest way without blowing millions on magics. Look up Zarfot's guide on Youtube. It'll be a lot more fun then.

 

 

 

Burning shades will be slower, but it might not be a bad idea from time to time to kill some of that repetitiveness. You'll also pick up prayer XP and the rewards can be used to purchase more logs. I haven't really tried to do the lights thing but I despise the goblin city and everything to do with those backwards creatures.

They're more technologically advanced than the humans.

 

 

 

The light-orbs are not good for training fm, though...too much trouble running around to find which one is broken.

If firemaking is so boring... Do something else! :
