Ok, I know all of you have things you wish to accomplish. Ill share mine and you can share yours.

 

 

 

 

 

Goal 1 - Host good LAN party

 

 

 

This article inspired me to host a small LAN party. This is becomming a relality. Me and about five of my friends are going to host a 30 person LAN party. We have been researching things we need to do. We have a small office building section (about 4k square foot) which is going to cost around $130.00 for all day + overnight rental (we got deal because the owner is my work manager's brother. The office building has a dedicated internet connection and network connections already, so all we have to do is plug and play basically. It also has heating and air-cooling as well as good power plugs.. We plan to charge 15 bucks for normal play and 20 for all day + overnight. I will use my connections ( I work at a pepsi factory) to get free soft drinks and a temporary fountain drink maker. We will serve grilled food and other things for food. We will limit the ages to: 16 - 17 can only play from noon to 10pm. 18 and older can play however long they want( I am 18 myself). In all, it will cost us about 400ish dollars. but we could make up a 200 dollar profit, which we will basically give away as prizes(or use to cover liability insurance). We will probably host it next month on a non snowy day. We will probably have my cousin (paramedic) on call just in case we have any medical issues. We will plan for more people since we will advertise on newspapers and radio. I know a lot of people will come since we have a lot of computer geeks/gamers around my 'hood. We have almost everything you can think of planned.

Dream:

 

 

 

Build a geek house. I will have a hidden room with my special office. I will have the latest technology. I will have an indoor hot-tub and theater room. I want to get a phd in computer science and network security.

 

 

 

So what are your dreams and goals?

I want to make *some* money being a sports person.

I only really have 2 more goals in life.. should really get some more but most of them have already been accomplished.

 

 

 

1. Get really rich

 

2. Spend it on travel

1. Have a house of my own for my family and I.

 

2. Be in a band and make at least one great album.

 

3. Do something to be remembered by. Well, I wouldn't want myself to be remembered, just my good deeds.

All my goals

1:Get a good job (something to do with computers probably)

 

2: Make enough money so I can just do/go whatever/wherever I want

Become a molecular biologist and contribute something to humanity through science.

 

 

 

An ongoing goal would be to just have fun and make the most of life, because I'm not going to be here forever.

Become a doctor and go to America in my first year of university.

Learn 3D modeling/animation and land a job as an animator/modeler/lighter at Pixar.

 

Move back to America.

 

Get a pilot's lisence.

 

Get a girlfriend.

Space.

 

 

 

My one and only goal.

Be a hero and an adventurer.

 

Space it up (dammit thought I'd be first).

 

Helicopter pilot's license (hah).

 

Motorcycle license (that's more a short-term goal, although I guess you could count finding the perfect bike as a lifelong goal).

Generally, to help others around me live easier and more comfortable lives.

 

 

 

In real terms, that's my main motivation for becoming a doctor. I want to become a GP, and work in a poor area, like the one I've been raised in, for the NHS.

Just to get a decent degree and then find a career that I like really.

My plans at this very moment;

 

 

 

-Experiment.

 

-Finish my school just to please my parents.

 

-Save money to pay my dreadlocks, piercings & the festivals.

 

-Travel; Jamaica, Curaçao, A trip to Amsterdam, The filipines, Hawaii, ...

 

-Attend International festivals & activities, especially Cannabis Cup.

 

-Save money to go to america and try to survive as a bum for a few months to see how it is like.

 

-Go to third world countries and help out there.

 

-Achieve the down-to-earth feeling (Hippie)

 

 

 

Those are my plans, aswell as my dreams at the moment. I have a few more but I can't really think of them right now.

-Release an album with my band before I graduate from highschool

 

-Make enough money with music to support a middle-class lifestyle

 

-Go to college and minor in graphic design and music theory

 

-Make sure that college is UCF

 

-Live in Europe for at least 2 years

 

-Read the entire wikipedia page for "banana" 3 times, then do the same for all the blue links found on the banana page

 

-Develop a British accent

I'd like to become a successful theoretical physicist, perhaps by fundamentally changing the way people think about things (a la Einstein) but in reality I'd simply like to know that I made a difference. I hope I can become a good communicator of science, not only to students but also to the public and inspire some future generations.

 

 

 

Other, slightly more common goals are to spend the rest of my life with someone I love, learn as much as I can and be a good friend and interesting person to be around.

To come to that LAN party.

 

 

 

And learn Russian and become a nuclear engineer in the United States Navy.

Dreadlocks? :mrgreen: Just don't suit a white person.

Publishing my books and becoming a wellknown writer.

Not all that difficult, actually. We have a lotta homeless folks in my town, and the news did a report on them. The median wage they made was $113.42 a day, just for asking for money. They were the aggressive ones, though. I'm sure passive bums make much less.

I reckon you'd prefer to be a producer. Directors deal with the actors, producers deal with the film and its greatness.
