It's not hard to use google though tbf. ;) You could assume that, or you could also take into account I just know to mention Exodus 21:24 when I argue some of religion's ignorant points when I often debate religion with people. I don't want to take this any further, but you do know the difference between the old and new testaments right? Yes I do, it being quite a significant difference at that. Seems though the majority of the time I come across a Christian fundamentalist the majority of their rants and points are stemmed from the Old testament. I wouldn't be surprised, but I don't think he gouged out his wife/daughter/son's eyes. So the eye-for-an-eye wouldn't really apply. But there is a verse that says what The_dmt mentioned, and since it's much harder to commit crimes when you're missing an eye, that may be what he had in mind.
