Racheya
I think I'm sort of feeling that way at the moment myself. I usually change what I do almost every day but I think after a few months back I'm bored again. I'm considering taking a break at the end of this months P2P payment, or maybe just try a stint at F2P so there's less pressure to play more (I'm poor :P) I quite enjoy Runecrafting but usually in small stints. I did grind earths with gloves for days to get to lvl 50 though but I haven't bothered since, I'm crafting more for fun and profit now :D I enjoy assisting at the law altar since quite a lot of the crafters are okay to have a conversation with since n00bs rarely reach that runecrafting level. One advantage to the skill anyway :D Anywho back on topic. I am sort of feeling sick of it but that's the way I work with things. I'll come back around in a few months time. Libertherme
I used to have that feeling on my old account; it probably stemmed from doing the same old task day in and day out - repetition. Since getting my new account, I've found Slayer to be a very enjoyable thing to do because it gives me a varied challenged. If you're feeling like RS is becoming a job, then you may need to take a break and enjoy something else for awhile. :)
60DefenceMelee
I think ?5? is enough threads for one day... Anyway, if you're just boored of grinding, take a break and play a mini game or something; if you're boored with rs, leave it for a while. Moocky for once I agree with you. This guy has posted 5 threads, none of which have any real discussion value, and they're all pretty much complaining or whining. I move to ban him from creating threads. Do I hear a second? Hey, if you don't like my threads, then gtfo. I am sick of on my threads complaining about me. nect time I see you post on my threads I will report you to a mod. ankie1992
I know that feeling all too well. I had that feeling on my old account so I quit that account ans started playing this account because I found it fun to train a new account. But that quickly wore off when I was at about 95 Strength, I was contemplating quitting but I just couldn't bring myself to stop. Earlier this week I was keylogged and lost all of my gold. That was a good enough excuse to quit  Check my blog, I'm retired now anyway. 61,128th to 99 Strength.

being_true
well what i did when i felt like that was i made a new acc that was going to be a range tanker with some melee stats but nothing real high mostly for def training. before i knew it i had gotten full void and was so happy that i did something i had not done on my main and now im almost higher crafting and range on it. its kinda fun to surpass ypur main in lvls. (i picked range tank since i had never done gwd or avansies on main and i think they own in pvp) idk if this would work for you but after around a month i went back to playing main and now i switch back and forth alot to help mix it up 98% Of teenagers surround their minds with rap music, if you're part of the 2% that stayed with rock, put this in your signature, ROCK IS BETTER! SwreeTak
If you feel that when you play you should either take a break or vary your gameplay more. Since you can't "off RS" I suggest that you try to do something else in the game for a while. Do some quests and just do what you find fun for a while. Don't do work. If you still find the game boring after this you should most probably quit the game, since you don't like it. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
Randox
If you can't get yourself to take a break you hvae 2 options to help you: (a) You just use some more will power. After a week of no RuneScape it should be alot easier. (B) Wait until you REALLY get bored, and just let teh quuitting take its course. Over my RuneScape carreer I have quit a few times, each time I think hmmm maybe I'll just see how RuneScape is doing and bam, i'm playing hardcore for the next week until some ammount of boredom sets in and I moderate my time. This time I found an alternative to breaks. Penguin hunting.

Fey_Warrior
No I don't, the minute i stop enjoying runescape, I will stop playing or find something else to do on it. Ditto. I wouldn't play RuneScape if it became merely another chore. This is why I'm doubtful I'll get any 99s any time soon. I've enough chores and obligations in 'real-life' that already consume large parts of my day. Although if a goal or achievement feels rewarding it might be worth a little dedication, but it's still only a game, and shouldn't become a job or like passing an exam or getting a qualification or degree. And if I just happen to get a 99 that I've found is fun along the way to getting it...then great. As a player commented in the game today at the GE: "Capes just aren't special any more" I don't think it's because more players have them that they're not so special any more to some out there. I suspect it's when some pare-down process of getting capes through mind numbing grinding; rather than seeing them as an end point as they were intended to be; that's made playing the game for those players, simply another chore. I prefer to let myself get distracted and have fun where I find it... and any level, feature or skill I gain along the way there is a bonus; and it actually feels more fun that way. There's been other MMOs I've played where one has to level-grind continuously to be able to play with friends/family and they've simply ceased to be fun. It's that grind that steals the joy and causes more stress...more if than if I weren't to bother at all; so I've stopped playing them as a result. I've come back to RuneScape time and again, because I feel I can truly play it how I like and when I can, without feeling pressured to do this or that thing first. Cheers, ~ Fey *still growing potatoes after all these years*
