Section 1.0: Introduction

Welcome to my Brawling Glove guide. For a long time I have seen people using brawling gloves in bad ways, and having tons of brawling gloves myself, I decided that it would only be right to make a complete guide. I have done a lot of research throughout over 150 brawling gloves that I have used and found out how they work, and I am here to show you how to use them.

Section 2.0: What are Brawling Gloves?

Chances are if you are here then you dont need to know about this. Brawling Gloves are a semi-rare drop from killing other people in PvP or Bounty Hunter which cant be traded. There are NO other ways to get Brawling Gloves. These gloves give experience multipliers in a given skill.

Section 3.0: How do Brawling Gloves work?

Brawling gloves give an experience bonus based on where you use them. Remember that they only give an experience bonus in a PvP World or a Bounty Hunter world.

Outside of the wilderness, brawling gloves will give a 1.5x experience bonus in a PvP or Bounty Hunter world. Safe area, hot zone, all the same.

In the Wilderness, however, you will get 4 times more experience than normal! Note that safe zones in the wilderness do not count as the 4x bonus.

Brawling Gloves were also noted by Jagex to last for approximately an hour. However, this doesnt mean that they have a timer. Instead, Jagex has given a specific number of uses per brawling glove, and one is used each time you gain experience in that skill that the Brawling Glove is for.

Note that Stealing Creation items which give double experience count as two uses of the brawling glove. Therefore, the only advantage that using a Stealing Creation reward has for Brawling Gloves is that the brawling glove will take half the time to use.

I have not done experiments with the Penance Horn from Barbarian Assault, but I have heard that it works the same way as Stealing Creation items too.

Section 4.0: The methods to use Brawling Gloves

Here is the area that you can finally see the methods behind using Brawling Gloves.

Try and use these in a Bounty Hunter +1 world whenever possible or whenever you want to. You are free to change anything up, but these are my recommended methods to use your gloves.

This guide will try to also use setups that will save your brawling gloves on death even if you are risking at least 76k. It also provides you with low risk options so that you are not using something like a Godsword in a non-protect world. You are free to change your gear based on how much you are willing to risk.

[hide=Agility]Agility Brawling Gloves

Uses per brawler: Around 325-375

Video directory: {Not available yet}

Method #1: Dorgesh-Kaan

Summary: This method gives the most amount of experience per brawling glove, with a very low amount of danger. The requirements are somewhat high, however. This is also not the fastest experience, but still yields about 90k exp an hour. Need more information as I cant do this course.

Video Guide:{Not available yet}

Requirements: 80 Agility, Death to the Dorgeshuun quest done

Recommended: 66 Hunter, Fairy rings available

Familiars: You shouldnt need one, however feel free to bring a pouch to boost combat level if you are high level to make sure less people can attack you.

Equipment: Black dhide body, Black DHide chaps, Rune full helm, Spottier cape, Ring of Life, Phoenix Necklace, Dramen staff, Rune Kiteshield, Boots of lightness, random gloves (penance work best)

{Reserved for pic}

Try to keep it a little bit lightweight. If you find that youre using too much energy, go lighter. Agility armour is probably best.

Inventory: Brawling Gloves (Agility), 8 Saradomin Brews, 4 Super Restores, 8 Sharks, Teleport to House tab/runes, Spanner, space for item that you need

{Reserved for pic}

Locations: Dorgeshuun Caves

What to do: For this method, go east to Thurgall and ask him what he needs, with your regular gloves on. Take note of what it is - mainly the cog, lever, or powerbox. Run back west then go south across the rope. The course should be straight forward. Get the item and go back through the course to Thurgall. Equip the brawlers before you talk to him and hand him the item. He should give you another item to get and a lot of experience. Unequip your brawling gloves and repeat.

Avoiding death: You will very rarely be attacked here. If you are teleblocked then just pray and use your food. Try and keep teleporting if you can to escape. You shouldnt have many problems as long as you pray melee and keep brewing, and you definitely wont if youre good with switching prayers.

Experience per brawler: About 1,200,000 agility exp

Method #2: Wilderness Course (Pack Yak)

Summary: This method requires 96 summoning to use and helps you use your brawling gloves a LOT faster while still getting your EP up. The amount of danger is high in multi and kind of low outside of multi. You will get about 120k experience per hour. The number of pkers here will usually be low.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 52 agility (47 with summer pie), 96 summoning.

Recommended: 90 Magic with lunars or 96 magic with ancients, 66 hunter, Seers Achievement Diary done

Familiars: Pack Yak (96)... nothing else.

Put some food in your Pack Yak such as Monkfish.

Equipment: Black DHide Body, Black DHide Chaps, Spottier Cape, random gloves, Enhanced Excalibur, Phoenix Necklace, Rune Kiteshield, Rune Full Helm, Boots of Lightness

{Pic}

Inventory: Brawling Gloves (Agility), 15 monkfish (put 10-30 more in yak), 15 Winter Storage scrolls, extra pack yak pouch, 2 summoning potions

{Pic}

Locations: Level 50+ Wilderness, west side

What to do: I recommend doing this in a non-protect world. Go to the Wilderness Agility Course and start doing the course with your regular gloves on. When you get to the hill climb, put on your brawling gloves and climb the hill, then reequip your other gloves. Avoid going up the hill if there are people up there.

Avoiding death: If someone else is on the course, pray melee before crossing the stepping stones because otherwise they can get two free specs on you. If people attack you, there are many methods of escape. The skeletons down the ladder will allow you to escape often and hop to another world to avoid having to bank everything. If you are going to die no matter what, start banking items and use Summoning Potions to restore your spec bar.

Experience per brawler: About 750,000 experience per brawling glove.

Method #3: Wilderness Course (No Yak)

Summary: This is the method that most people can do. It is the most popular but the most annoying. There is a high amount of danger but you do not have to risk your gloves. This still gives quite a bit of experience per brawling glove. This yields at most about 120k exp per hour.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 52 agility (47 with summer pie)

Recommended: 90 Magic with Lunar spells or 96 Magic with Ancients

Familiars: You shouldnt need one, and theres no point in boosting combat, so dont bother.

Equipment: Random cheap gloves. Optionally you can wear a cheap slash weapon like a bronze dagger.

{Pic of equipment}

Inventory: Brawling Gloves (Agility), about 10 cakes or some kind of cheap food, knife if you do not have a slash weapon.

{Pic of inventory}

Locations: Wilderness course (high level wilderness)

What to do: Teleport to the agility arena and cross over the gap in a Bounty Hunter +1 world, making sure you are not wearing your brawling gloves. Once inside, go through all of the obstacles (pipe, ropeswing, rocks, and log). After you cross the log, put on your brawling gloves and climb up the hill. After climbing up the hill, remove your gloves by equipping your cheap gloves or unequipping your agility brawlers. Repeat this it will take a while to use your gloves.

I do not recommend risking as you WILL die.

Avoiding death: Pretty much impossible.

Experience per brawler: About 750,000 exp

  • [/hide]

[hide=Cooking]Cooking Brawling Gloves

Uses per brawler: About 1200. I dont believe burning counts as a use... Need to know for sure

Video Directory: {Not available yet}

Method #1: Bake Pies

Summary: This is by far the best method if you have 95 cooking, giving you not only the most experience but the fastest experience. However, pies can sometimes be hard to come by and can only be bought 1k at a time. But you will never burn a single pie.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 70 Cooking, 65 Magic, Access to Lunar Magics

Recommended: 95 Cooking

Familiars: Only use a familiar if you are over 127 combat with summoning. Any familiar will do preferably use ones that are cheap and/or long lasting, such as Spirit Dagannoths or Rune Minotaurs. You can use unicorn too and bring some scrolls.

Equipment: Brawling gloves, steam battlestaff, full proselyte, ring of life, prayer book, glory.

Feel free to change gear if you are comfortable with not praying, but try to make sure you protect your gloves.

{Pic of equipment}

Inventory: 25 Astrals, 25 Raw Pies, 1 Prayer Potion, 1 Saradomin Brew

{Pic of inventory}

Locations: Edgeville, Wilderness Volcano (old Bounty Hunter)

What to do: Make sure you are on lunars. If you are in edgeville, run out to level 1 wilderness. If you are at the volcano, enter the volcano. Pray melee if you wish. Cast the spell Bake Pie and it will automatically start cooking all of the pies in your inventory one by one. After they are all cooked, turn off pray, bank, and repeat. You should have your Withdraw-X option set on 26.

Avoiding death: Honestly, most people that try to kill you will either be hand cannon rushing or using ancients, thinking that youre an easy kill... but if they thought about it theyd know that its stupid to even try. Youll have food because youre cooking food, and if not, then you have an emergency brew. Glory if you must. Remember that glory teleports work up to 30 wilderness, so this works at the volcano as well (not that youll need it barrage does not stop you from going back through the tunnel)

Experience per brawler: About 1,400,000 experience with summer pies.

Method #2: Cooking Fish

Summary: This is the most popular and most easily done method Even though you lose the ability to use cooking gauntlets, you will be getting extra experience. I still am trying to get a confirmation on if burning fish does or doesnt count as a use on the Brawling Glove, but I do not think it counts as a use if you burn.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: None really.

Recommended: 70+ Cooking

Familiars: Use one if it will boost you up to 127+ combat, preferably one that is cheap and/or lasts long.

Equipment: Brawling Gloves, Full Proselyte, Amulet of Glory, prayer book, crozier

Feel free to change gear if you are comfortable with not praying, but try to make sure you protect your gloves.

{Pic of Equipment}

Inventory: Tinderbox, Logs, Prayer Potion, Saradomin Brew, 24 Uncooked Fish

{pic of inventory}

Locations: Edgeville, Wilderness Volcano (old Bounty Hunter)

What to do: Run out to level 1 wilderness if you are in edgeville. If you are at the volcano, go inside of the volcano. Turn on your protect from melee prayer (if you are praying) and burn the logs. Start cooking the fish on the fire until they are all cooked, turn off prayer, bank and repeat.

For what fish to use, it is up to you. You will lose more money burning fish but it is all up to you. I previously suggested sharks at 95+, monks from 80-94, and lobsters at any lower. Im not exactly sure what to use though.

Avoiding death: You shouldnt have a problem staying alive considering you are cooking fish. Use your cooked fish, and glory if you must. Remember that glory works up to 30 wilderness so you can do this at the volcano, too (though you shouldnt need it since you can exit even if frozen)

Experience per brawler: Assuming burning doesnt count as a use, about 960k with sharks, 720k with monkfish, and 576k with lobsters.

  • [/hide]

[hide=Firemaking (FM)]Firemaking (FM) Brawling Gloves

Uses per brawler: About 1200

Video Directory: {Not available yet}

Method #1: Burning Logs

Summary: This is really the only method at the moment, and nothing else is worth it. The danger is medium as there are people that might rush with hand cannon and hit something good.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: None

Recommended: 43+ prayer, 52+ summoning

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

Equipment: Brawling Gloves. Nothing else if you dont want to risk. For risking: Full proselyte, crozier, charged amulet of glory, ring of life, prayer book.

Feel free to change gear if you are comfortable with not praying, but try to make sure you protect your gloves.

{Pic of equipment}

Inventory: 3 Saradomin Brews, 1 Super Restores, 1 Prayer Potion, Tinderbox, Logs

{Pic of inventory}

Locations: Edgeville, Wilderness Volcano (old Bounty Hunter bank)

What to do: Buy a bunch of logs, preferably the best that you can use. Fill up a familiar full of logs. Make sure you are brewed over your max hp and run out to the wilderness (if youre at the volcano, go inside the volcano), pray melee if you wish, and start burning logs. Make sure you are actually in the wilderness as a safe area will not give you the 4x experience bonus. After you use them, go back to bank and repeat the process.

Avoiding death: Use your brews if you want, but if you have to or are willing to, use your glory to edge. You shouldnt need to, being so close to a safezone. Remember you can use your glory up to level 30 wilderness so you can use this at the volcano as well. Use a super restore dose for every 3 doses of brew that you use. Make sure you are also brewed over whenever you are normally firemaking because cannon rushers can do up to around 100 damage.

Experience per brawler: About 1,400,000 with magic logs. 900,000 with Yew Logs.

  • [/hide]

[hide=Fishing]Fishing Brawling Gloves

Uses per brawler: Around 350-400.

Video Directory: {Not available yet}

Method #1: Living Rock Caverns

Summary: These fish give a very large amount of experience, rocktails and cavefish both. Brawling gloves will last a long time here, but you will get more experience here over anywhere else with them. On top of that, you also get to keep all the fish as well which are good money. The danger shouldnt be very high but you will need healing for the living rock creatures alone.

Video guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: Unknown

Recommended: 68+ Summoning, high cooking

Familiars: Bunyip (68) > Unicorn Stallion (88) > Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Granite Lobster (74)

I still need to figure out exactly what the best familiars to use are.

If you have a beast of burden then you should probably be putting in brews/restores.

Bunyip is only #1 if you have the cooking level for rocktails and/or cavefish

Equipment: Brawling Gloves, Black DHide Body, Rune Plateskirt, Rune full helm, Rune kiteshield, Enhanced Excalibur, Phoenix necklace, Ring of life

{Pic of Equipment: Click Here}

Inventory: Appropriate scrolls, fishing pole, 400 living minerals, teleport to house tab/runes, 5 saradomin brews, 2 super restores.

{Pic of Inventory: Click here}

Locations: Living rock caverns fishing spots

What to do: Make your way to one of the fishing spots and start fishing. You will have a living rock creature on you most likely. Heal as needed and once you have a full inventory make your way back to the deposit area. Deposit your fish and then repeat.

Avoiding death: Chances are that no one will be able to kill you. It actually helps to have a creature next to you so if anyone tries to rush, they will get hit by the creature. There are a few of these creatures so it will be a lot of hassle to kill you by hybriding without having a decent sized team.

Experience per brawler: About 199,500 experience with rocktails, 157,500 experience with cavefish.

Method #2: Lobsters or Swordfish/Tuna (Pack Yak)

Summary: This is a popular spot mainly because of the low fishing requirement. With a Pack Yak you will rarely ever be attacked there and you can take advantage of the non-protect worlds. You can also gain EP while you are doing this.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 35+ fishing, 96 summoning

Recommended: 40+ fishing, 96 summoning

Familiars: Pack Yak (96)

Equipment: Brawling gloves. If you are in a +1 world, wear nothing else. In non +1, wear Black DHide Chaps, Black DHide Body, and Rune full helm.

{Pic of +1 Gear} {Pic of Non +1 Gear}

Inventory: In +1, a small 76k-150k item (such as Yew seed) that does not protect over brawlers. For all, 20 fire runes, 30 winter storage scrolls, lobster pot/harpoon, a couple brews. Feel free to just fill your pack yak with food, which you should do if you are in non-protect worlds

Locations: Eastern wilderness, level 35.

What to do: Try to go to the fishing spot in a regular world then hop to Bounty Hunter. Start fishing from the spots there. Drop the fish as you get them. Theres not much more to it than that. Optionally if you want you can bring a Bunyip and an Enchanted Water Tiara, feed the fish to your bunyip, and put all the waters in the tiara to bank if you need to. Just remember that you need the yak.

Avoiding death: You will undoubtedly get attacked here at some point as this is a common pking spot, unless you are not in a +1 world. If you are in +1, bank a fire rune and see if they get off, using food if you have to. If they do not you can try again or just bank the item that you have for risk. In non-protect worlds, start tanking them, pretending to bank your stuff such as brawlers. If they keep going, just bank it all. You shouldnt lose anything except maybe your hides. Note that pkers are a LOT less common in non-protect as well as practically nonexistent in PvP worlds.

Experience per brawler: About 126,000 with lobsters; about 110,000 with tuna/swordfish.

Method #3: Lobsters or Tuna/Swordfish (regular)

Summary: This is the method that most people will do. These are similar to agility brawlers in many ways except for the time that they last for. This is annoying and the danger is high, but you dont have to risk your gloves.

Video guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 35 Fishing

Recommended: 40 Fishing, 90 Magic with ancients

Familiars: Granite Lobster (74) > Ibis (53)

Equipment: Brawling gloves, nothing else.

Inventory: Lobster Pot/Harpoon, Games Necklace (unless you are 90 magic with ancients)

Locations: Level 35 Wilderness, East side

What to do: Go to the east side of the wilderness at level 35. Start fishing and drop the fish when you want to. Dont bother banking because you dont get a lot of money and youll waste a lot of time. Its a simple method and has very little risk to it.

Avoiding death: There isnt much ability to avoid death unless you want to bring gear and a Beast of Burden with brews/restores to be able to risk. If you die just use games necklace to clan wars or teleport to annakarl, trying to avoid any clans. You should stock up on lobster pots/harpoons and games necklaces.

Experience per brawler: About 126,000 with lobsters; about 110,000 with tuna/swordfish.

  • [/hide]

[hide=Hunter]Hunter Brawling Gloves

Uses per brawler: About 275. (Any dropped before January 20, 2009 gave 45)

Video directory: {Not available yet}

Method #1: Grenwalls

Summary: These are the best way to use your Hunter brawling gloves. Not only will you get the most amount of experience per glove, but youll also be able to make money as well via the Grenwall Spikes. The danger is pretty low because of all the obstacles you can utilize.

Video guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 77 Hunter, Access to the elven lands

Recommended: Ability to use Lletya teleport crystals, 80+ hunter, 69 summoning

Familiar: Fruit bat (69) > Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52)

If you use a beast of burden, fill it with papayas.

Equipment: Random cheap gloves, Black DHide body, Black Dhide chaps, Rune full helm, Phoenix necklace, Ring of life

{Pic of equipment: Click here}

Inventory: Brawling Gloves, 4/5 Box traps, about 350 fruitfall scrolls, antipoison (4), 5 Saradomin Brews, 2 Super restores, teleport crystal (to Lletya), Teleport to house tab/runes

{Pic of inventory: Click here}

Locations: Elven lands (need to add locations)

What to do: Go to the area where you are going to hunt the grenwalls and pawyas. Use your fruitfall scrolls to get papayas and hunt pawyas while you are NOT wearing your brawling gloves. You must bait each box trap with a papaya. Loot the pawya meat from each one that you get.

Once you have enough pawya meats, put on your brawling gloves and start hunting grenwalls by baiting your box traps with the raw pawya meat. Collect all the Grenwall Spikes you get and remember that these are stackable. If you use a fruit bat then you wont have to go to the bank to get more papayas.

Avoiding death: Rarely will pkers ever come to kill you, if ever at all. If you have to escape, use a teleport if you must but use some brews and take advantage of the hundreds of agility obstacles. If you jump over leaf pits they will fall in unless they react fast enough. I believe some of the spots involving the climbing through trees actually have some 1 square spots where you cant be attacked. I will post where if I find them.

It also might be a good idea to purposely fall into the pitfall traps, where they wont be able to attack unless theyre fast and smart.

Experience per brawler: All I can remember is that it is better than black salamanders. If I remember right its about 412,500

Method #2: Black Salamanders

Summary: This is the most popular method and the most easily used method with the lowest requirements and a large amount of exp per successful catch. However, just like fishing and agility, this is the most annoying of the methods as you will die, and even worse is you have to do this in a multicombat area. Make sure you stock up on ropes and nets.

Video guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 67 Hunter

Recommended: 73 Summoning

Familiars: Arctic Bear (73) > Spirit Larupia (57)*

*Note that spirit larupias probably arent worth it due to cost per pouch.

Equipment: Hunter brawling gloves, nothing else

{Pic of equipment}

Inventory: 4 Small nets, 4 ropes (bring 5 if youre 80+ hunter)

{Pic of inventory}

Locations: East of Clan Wars

What to do: Tele to Fist of Guthix and bank your dueling ring. Go to the black salamander area and set up traps where they are available. As they go off, collect them and then set them up again. Release black salamanders every so often. Continue to do this, but remember you will almost definitely die, and beware of lag from warring clans/teams. It is advised to stock up on a lot of ropes and nets

Avoiding death: Its really not possible without luck or really high risk, which wont save you from 60+ man teams usually. However, running up from Fist of Guthix tends to lower deaths on the way there, and it will save you money since you can bank your ring.

Experience per brawler: About 335,000

  • [/hide]

[hide=Magic]Magic Brawling Gloves

Uses per brawling glove: About 797

Video Directory: {Not available yet}

Method #1: Stun

Summary: This is the most experience per brawling glove that is practical to do. There are usually many people available that you can do this on in many different places, and one of them rarely has anyone doing anything there! You can also do this on monsters.

Video guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 80 magic, 50 defense (looking for ways to lower/remove def req)

Recommended: 70 range

Familiars: Pack yak (96) > War tortoise (67) > Spirit terrorbird (52) > Bull ant (40)

Try and fill this with food, maybe brews and restores.

Equipment: Brawling gloves, full adamant/rune, granite shield, phoenix necklace, ring of life (if in low wild), mud battlestaff, snakeskin boots

Note that as long as you get your magic bonus to -65 or lower, you will be fine.

Inventory: Black DHide top, Black DHide bottom, 800 soul runes, 300 blood/air/fire runes, knife (for mage arena only), rest filled with brews and restores.

{Pic of inventory: Click here}

Locations: Mage arena, level 1 west wilderness

What to do: At the mage arena go around and start stunning random people and splashing on them. Cast away on them and keep casting charge spells every minute or so. If you are at west wildy level 1, get a zamorak monk out from the altar and step out into level 1 wilderness, casting stun on the monk.

Avoiding death: In level 1 wilderness it is easy, just run out. At mage bank, waste their barrages by praying mage, putting on your dragonhide, and running around, healing with brews. If you have to start dipping into your familiar, you should probably consider going to bank (and you probably will get teleblocked; remember that they can attack with more than just mage outside). Most people will not bother trying to kill you because the runes are expensive to use.

Experience per brawler: About 300,000 if you use charges as well

Method #2: String Jewelry

Summary: This is an easy method that isnt so annoying in the fact that you only have to click the spell one time every trip to the wilderness. The requirements are higher but for those that dont want to constantly click and/or risk, this is a good option.

Video guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 80 Magic, Access to lunar spells

Recommended: Summers End rogue trader unlocked (buys your strung gold jewelry)

Familiars: Any familiar if it will bring you to 127+ combat will help. Preferably use a cheap and/or long lasting familiar, such as a Spirit Dagannoth. A unicorn stallion could help by replacing the brew with scrolls.

Equipment: Brawling gloves, mystic mud staff, full proselyte, prayer book, ring of life, charged amulet of glory

Feel free to change gear if you are comfortable with not praying, but try to make sure you protect your gloves.

{Pic of gear: Click here}

Inventory: 25 Gold Amulets, 25 Astral Runes, 1 Saradomin Brew, 1 Prayer Potion

{Pic of inventory: Click here}

Locations: Edgeville, Wilderness Volcano (old Bounty Hunter)

What to do: Run out to the wilderness (if you are at the volcano, go into the volcano), turn on pray melee, and click on the String Jewelry spell. It will start casting the String Jewelry spell for every amulet that you have in your inventory. Once it is done casting, turn off pray, bank and repeat.

Avoiding death: Use your brew if you must. It should be pretty easy to get away considering you are so close to safe, but if you must, use a glory teleport to edgeville.

Experience per brawler: About 264,604 experience

Method #3: High Alch

Summary: Probably the most popular method to do because it is easy to do and widely done to train magic already, this is an option that everyone can do. You also dont have to bank at all to do it, you can just camp somewhere and do it there.

Video guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 55 Magic

Recommended: Nothing more is necessary

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

Fill it with brews and restores. Note that if you are in level 1 wilderness then you dont need this.

Equipment: Brawling Gloves, Black DHide Chaps, Black DHide Body, Rune Full Helm, Phoenix Necklace, Ring of Life, Legends Cape, Rune Sq Shield, Fire Staff

If you are doing this at Mage Arena, bring just pure mage defence

Inventory: 800 noted items that you are alching, 800 nature runes, 7 Shark, 8 Saradomin Brews, 2 Super Restores, 2 Regular Restore

Locations: Level 1 Edgeville, Mage Arena

What to do: This is easily camped out. Put the item that you are alching in your 5th item slot and sort your spells by teleports. Start alching the item while in the wilderness, but be aware and have your quick prayers set to protect from melee. Try to keep yourself brewed over your maximum hp, using your brews and your regular restore potions. You shouldnt need to bank unless you are attacked.

Avoiding death: At the mage arena youll be praying mage and escaping to mage bank, using your brews. In level 1 wilderness, just run out of wilderness. Anywhere else youre just gonna use brews and try to escape or teleport out. Pray appropriately.

Experience per Brawler: About 207,220 experience

  • [/hide]

[hide=Melee]Melee Brawling Gloves

Uses per brawler: If 0s count as a use, then 940 hits. (not sure if it does)

Video Directory: {Not available yet}

Method #1: Skeletons/Ankous

Summary: These didnt exist for a long time in the wilderness, but now that they do, they are the best method to get experience given that you have the recommended amulet. On top of that, ankous seem to drop some half decent loot. The danger is medium as long as you do it in a Bounty Hunter world. In a PvP world its extremely high considering the bank is multicombat and not a safe zone, so do NOT do it in PvP.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: A weapon and armour I guess.

Recommended: Haunted Mine quest done, Tarns Lair miniquest done (salve amulet (e)), 60 attack at minimum. If not 70 defense and 68 summon, have 43 prayer.

Familiar: Bunyip (68) OR Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52)

Bunyip is good if you have a decent defense level. If not youll be using a beast of burden with supplies in order to escape.

Equipment: Brawling Gloves, Salve Amulet (e), Proselyte platebody, Proselyte platelegs, Helm of neitiznot, any Godsword, soul wars cape, climbing boots, ring of life

You can also use defensive gear with a bunyip/unicorn. You can also use whip, dscim, etc. Try and focus on the prayer bonus because if you use something like piety while you use brawlers you will get a lot more experience.

{Defensive gear} {Prayer gear}

Inventory: Black dhide body, Black dhide chaps, 1 pure set, 6 Prayer potions, 5 sharks, 5 Saradomin Brews, 2 Super restore potions, charged amulet of glory

{Picture of inventory}

Locations: Wilderness volcano, northeast and northwest side

What to do: Go inside the wilderness volcano and using your best attack and strength prayers, start killing the ankous. Use pray melee and just your strength prayer if you wish. Collect the blood runes and various things that they drop. Your bunyip should be enough to keep you properly healed, but if not, consider getting in better defensive gear or using prayer gear and praying melee.

Avoiding death: Just run straight to the southeast side of the crater, using your food when you need to. Stay as high hp as you can but dont do something like eat a shark at 90 hp. Escaping shouldnt be very hard, but if you have to, equip your glory and teleport to edgeville. Remember that you can use a glory up to level 30 wilderness.

Experience per brawler: Depends on your levels and the prayers you use.

Method #2: Black Demons

Summary: This is a decently safe method that you can use, though the amount of risk you will have will be pretty high unless you are using a dragon scimitar. The danger is around medium-high because the escape shouldnt be very hard. You will also get a decent amount of crimson charms. Note that this is only possible in a PvP world. You can also wait to get a slayer task of black demons and do them here, and one slayer task will easily last long enough for the entire pair of gloves.

Video guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 43 Prayer

Recommended: 52+ summoning

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

Fill this with brews and restores.

Equipment: Brawling gloves, Proselyte Legs, Proselyte Platebody, Soul Wars cape, Helm of Neitizot, Amulet of Glory, Abyssal Whip, Rune defender, Climbing boots, Ring of life

{Equipment pic}

Inventory: 2 Pure sets, 8 Prayer potions, Black DHide body, Black Dhide top, Teleport to house tab, 5 Brews, 2 super restores

{Inventory pic}

Locations: Underneath edgeville in wilderness.

What to do: Get here by using a regular world to be safe and hopping. When you are killing these, pray melee and use a strength prayer if you wish. Pick up any charm drops if you wish and any decent drops.

Avoiding death: The only thing to ever fear here is a large team coming. There are a lot of monsters down in the dungeon which are all aggressive. Run through the skeletons, chaos druids, or red spiders, and try to log out on them. Hop worlds and continue what you are doing for a while, then eventually hop back to the world you are using.

Experience per brawler: (copy paste)

Method #3: Fire Giants

Summary: This has a pretty high level of danger, I can say that for sure. However, these give really good experience, second only to skeletons/ankous. The only reason this is number 3 is because of the danger. You can also do this while youre on slayer if you want. One slayer task should be enough to cover your gloves easily.

Video guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 43 Prayer or 68 Summoning

Recommended: 52+ summoning

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > War tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bunyip (68)

You can just use a bunyip but that is up to you. When using a beast of burden, fill it with brews and restores.

Equipment: Brawling gloves, Proselyte Platebody, Proselyte Legs, Helm of Neitiznot, Amulet of glory, Abyssal whip, Soul wars cape, Toktz-ket-xil (obby shield)

Replace legs with veracs skirt if not praying melee. Consider replacing whip with a Dragon Scimitar

{pic of equipment}

Inventory: 2 Pure sets, 8 Prayer potions, extra pouch, 4 saradomin brews, 2 super restores, Black DHide top, Black DHide chaps

{pic of inventory}

Locations: Level 44 wilderness dungeon

What to do: Get to the entrance in a normal world then hop to a PvP world. Go inside and run to the end where there are 4 fire giant spawns, pray melee (if you are) and your strength prayer, and start killing them. You will hit almost every time because fire giants have a pretty low defence.

Avoiding death: A decent sized team will have a small chance of killing you. Your only option is pretty much to get them all hit off and log out, or somehow manage to survive by going to mage bank and pulling the lever. When you are done with the brawlers, there is a safespot at the hill giants seen {here} that you can logout at and go to mage bank in a normal world.

Experience per brawler: About 225k with piety, 99 str, 99 att, and whip.

Method #4: Green dragons

Summary: These are popular to kill because they are good money, providing you with about 7k per kill that you do. This is definitely not the best method for experience, but if you want some money, consider doing this.

Video guide: {Not available yet}

Required: Nothing really.

Recommended: 52+ Summoning, willing to risk in PvP or a non +1 world

Familiars: Pack yak (96) > War tortoise (67) > Spirit terrorbird (52) > Bull ant (40)

Do not put anything in these.

Equipment: Brawling gloves, Rune platelegs, rune platebody, Helm of neitiznot, Antifire Shield, Abyssal whip, Amulet of glory charged, Ring of life, Climbing boots

{pic of equipment}

Inventory: Super set, antifire potion, enhanced Excalibur, 2 super restores, 5 saradomin brews, 3 monkfish, hatchet/games necklace depending on where you do it

{pic of inventory}

Locations: Level 35 wilderness north of Volcano, Level 13 west wilderness, Level 20 east wilderness

What to do: Go to the green dragons and kill the dragons after sipping a dose of antifire and super set. Collect the bones and dragonhides, storing them in your familiar and banking once you cant hold anymore. If you have a yak, bank the bones with your scrolls. Repeat as it goes on.

Avoiding death: You can run through the dragons at east dragons, but your best option is usually to just glory and take the hit to your EP. You dont want to get teleblocked cause if theres a big team, it wont be easy to get away. East dragons are the easiest to get away, but the level 35 dragons have the least number of pkers.

Experience per brawler: Unknown at the moment

Other Methods

Another good thing to do is to combine melee brawler usage with slayer in order to use your slayer helmet while you use melee brawling gloves. Fire Giants, Green Dragons, Black Dragons, Skeletons, Ankous, Lesser Demons, Black Demons, and more are all able to be found in single combat zones. Some are not practical to use (black dragons are really dangerous without a yak) but when you get those tasks, you can consider getting some extra melee experience. It will not boost your slayer experience though.

[hide=Mining]Mining Brawling Gloves

Uses per brawler: About 400? I never quite got an accurate result of this

Video Directory: {Not available yet}

Method #1: Hobgoblin Mine

Summary: This is the best mine in the wilderness for iron, mithril, and adamant. It also has coal but theres an arguably better mine for that which will be covered. This section will suggest that you mine the best ore that you can. The danger is medium-low because of all the highly aggressive hobgoblins.

Video Guide: {N/A}

Requirements: 15 Mining

Recommended: 60 Mining, 83 Summoning

Familiars: Lava Titan (83) > Obsidian Golem (76) > Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52)

You shouldnt need to fill your familiar up with anything.

Equipment: Brawling Gloves, Black dhide chaps, Varrock Armour 3 or Black dhide body, Rune full helm, Rune sq shield, Rune pickaxe, Legends cape, Adamant boots, Ring of life, Charged amulet of glory

{pic of equipment}

Inventory: 5 Saradomin Brews, 2 Super restores, Hatchet if you are doing this in PvP with canoes

{pic of invent}

Locations: Level 35 western wilderness {Methods to get there}

What to do: Go there with your method of getting there (Lava Titan teleports you directly north of the mine) and start mining away at the best rock you can mine. If you have 70+ mining, you should switch between adamant ore and mithril ore. You decide if you want to drop all the ores, only keep the adamant, or keep all of them. Run down to 30 wilderness and teleport when needed.

Avoiding death: This is pretty easy when its not your target. There are a LOT of highly aggressive hobgoblins in the area, so it will take a decently sized team to take you out. Run around and try to log out if you must. You shouldnt need to run down to use your glory but if you feel like you should, then do it.

If you get a target then you should probably take care of him quick and bank as soon as you get one.

Experience per brawler: Needs to be calced

Method #2: Coal Mine

Summary: This is safer to do than the hobgoblin mine as well as easily gotten to by most people. Most people will prefer this I believe because of the low requirements and the fact that mining bores the hell out of a lot of people.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 30 Mining

Recommended: Nothing else really.

Familiars: Lava Titan (83) > Obsidian Golem (76)

Nothing else should really be needed.

Equipment: Brawling gloves, Black Dhide body, Black dhide top OR Varrock Armour, Rune full helm, Rune sq shield, Climbing boots, Ring of life, Charged amulet of glory, Rune pickaxe

{pic of Equipment}

Inventory: 5 Saradomin brews, 2 Super restores

You can take more brews and restores if you plan on dropping the ores as you get them.

{pic of inventory}

Locations: Level 13 west wilderness, northwest of edgeville

What to do: Go to the mine and start mining coal from there, taking advantage of the 20+ coal rocks that are all right next to each other. It is up to you whether or not you want to drop them or bank them. Teleport to edgeville if you want to bank then run back.

Avoiding death: There are plenty of skeletons but DO NOT run north. There is a multicombat area about 5-10 steps north of the coal mine. You shouldnt have much problem use your brews and run to edgeville to avoid losing EP, but glory to edgeville if you must. You shouldnt get TBed because rarely does anyone ever bring TBs to the west side of the wilderness.

Experience per brawler: Needs to be calced

[hide=Prayer]Prayer Brawling Gloves

Search code: -PR-

Uses per brawler: 1275

Video Directory: {N/A}

Method #1: Gilded Altar

Summary: Not the best experience for your gloves, but I prefer this because it wont take me a lot of hours to do. Gilded altar is the most popular training method outside of using brawling gloves, and even though it does not happen in the wilderness, it is better than anything practical that can be done in the wilderness. (I say practical because burying with chewed bones bonus is better)

Unfortunately you will not be getting any EP with this method.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: Technically there could be none, but look at the recommended.

Recommended: 70+ construction for your own house with a Gilded Altar. If you dont have this then most likely you cant do this method. Also I recommend a lumbridge portal and mounted glory in your house

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

Fill your familiar with Dragon Bones

Equipment: Brawling gloves, Black Dhide body, Black Dhide top, Proselyte full helm, Prayer book, Pheonix necklace, Ring of life, Air/earth staff, Soul wars cape

{pic of equipment}

Inventory: 2 Saradomin Brews, 1 Regular Restore, Teleport to house tabs or runes, Tinderbox, 2 Clean marrentills, Dragon Bones

{pic of inventory}

Locations: Wherever your house is located.

What to do: Keep protect melee on the whole time. Teleport to your house from a safe bank and light the candles next to the altar. Use your Dragon bones on the altar, press Offer-X, and type in something like 98. When you are running low on bones, just press Withdraw BoB and you will not have to use the bones on the altar again it will just keep going. After you have used your bones, refill your prayer at the altar and use your mounted glory to edgeville. Bank and repeat, withdrawing more tabs or runes if needed.

A trick you can do is to press Offer-5 and then after 2 bones have been altered, use another bone and press Offer-5 again. It will speed up the brawler usage but you have to pay a lot more attention.

Avoiding death: Youll probably be attacked eventually at edgeville, so feel free to switch to Castle Wars if it is a problem that consistently occurs. If you have no other choice but to tab then do it. Make sure you are set to teleport into your house and not at your portal in your house options. If you have to teleport, teleport to your house. Use a lumbridge portal in your house or teleport to lumbridge from your house (if you teleport to lumbridge without being in your house, you might die in lumbridge where you will lose everything)

Experience per brawler: About 481,950 Experience with Dragon bones.

Method #2: Ectophial

Summary: This is the best experience for your brawling gloves, but it takes a long time to do. The danger is pretty low considering the methods that are available to do this though. Once you get to the actual brawling glove usage, it should go by pretty quickly, but the setup will take you a long time.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: Priest in Peril done

Recommended: Ghosts Ahoy done for Ectophial (you are going to waste hours of time if you dont have this)

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

Fill your familiar with brews and restores.

Equipment: Brawling Gloves, Black DHide body, Proselyte legs, Proselyte helm, Amulet of Glory charged, any Staff, Ring of life

Inventory: 12 Pots filled with ground Dragon Bones, 12 Buckets of slime, 2 Saradomin Brews, Ectophial, Teleport to House tabs

Locations: Ectofuntus

What to do: Grind your bones into pots in a normal world first, and fill up buckets with slime in a normal world as well until you have collected about 1275 of each. After this, go to a PvP world and teleport to the Ectofuntus with your buckets of slime and ground bones, allow the ectophial to refill itself, and start worshipping your bones. After you are done, turn on pray melee, teleport to edgeville, bank, and repeat the process. Turn off pray melee once you are safe.

Avoiding death: Worst case scenario, you get teleblocked while worshipping bones. In that case, drop some buckets of slime and withdraw your brews, right click to get through the barrier, and make your way to the Port Phamastys bank. Rarely will anyone be pking here though.

Experience per brawler: 550,800 Experience with Dragon Bones. Big difference but it takes a long, long time to set up

Method #3: Burying Bones

Summary: This is the method that is quick to finish and most available for everyone. A lot of people can do this and the danger is pretty low. On top of that you can get a little bit of EP, albeit not much, while you do this.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: None

Recommended: 43 Prayer

Familiars: Pack yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

Fill your familiar up with dragon bones.

Equipment: Brawling Gloves, Proselyte Legs, Proselyte Platebody, Proselyte Helm, Amulet of Glory Charged, Ring of Life, Prayer Book, Crozier

Feel free to change up the gear if you are comfortable.

{pic of equipment}

Inventory: 3 Saradomin Brews, 1 Super restore, 1 Prayer Potion, rest Dragon Bones

{pic of invent}

Locations: Edgeville, Wilderness Volcano (old Bounty Hunter bank)

What to do: Run into level 1 wilderness (go inside the volcano if you are there) and turn on pray melee. Start burying bones and withdraw more from your familiar when you need to. After you are done, go back to the bank, turn off pray melee, and withdraw more bones, filling up your familiar as well.

Avoiding death: You are so close to a safezone that it should not be hard. Try to stay brewed over your normal HP to help protect against getting rushed. Use your glory if you must you shouldnt have to at the volcano because being frozen does not keep you from using the exit.

Experience per brawler: About 367,200 experience with Dragon Bones.

[hide=Ranged]Ranged Brawling Gloves

Uses per brawler: Unsure

Video Directory: {not available yet}

Method #1: Black Demons

Summary: This is, in my opinion, the best method to do for ranged brawling gloves. All the black demons are easily safespotted, and it is pretty safe down there. Note that this has to be done in a PvP world.

Video Guide: Not available yet

Requirements: Nothing really

Recommended: 70+ Range

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

Fill your familiar with brews and restores.

Equipment: Brawling gloves, Avas Accumulator, Black dhide body, Black dhide top, Charged amulet of glory, ring of life, Guthix coif, snakeskin boots, unholy book, Rune cbow, 500 Runite bolts

You can replace the helmet with a prayer hat such as a helm of neitiznot if you want. Hand cannon is also better if you have a high FM level, 99 FM preferred. Bring 1000 Hand Cannon Shots if you do this, and replace the accumulator with a soul wars cape.

Inventory: 2 Ranging Potions, 7 Prayer Potions, 5 Sharks, 5 Saradomin Brews, 2 Super restores, extra pouches, Teleport to house tabs/runes

Locations: Under edgeville (safespots)

What to do: Use a safespot (I use the northwest area) and start ranging the demons, using a range boosting prayer. Normal prayers are a lot better than curses in this case. Loot any decent drops that you get. Note that these tend to drop crimson charms. Repot your range when you are halfway back to your original level.

Avoiding death: The most danger is a claw rusher, and even then its likely that they will get hit by a demon. The other danger is a big team, in which case once you get to the skeletons, its easy to get away just try to log out. Use your brews and tab if needed.

Experience per brawler: Depends on level, prayers, bolts, etc.

Method #2: Fire Giants

Summary: This is dangerous and a little hard to do because there arent really that many safespots due to the small area in which they are located. However, this is the best experience per brawling glove. The danger is somewhat high but as long as you do it right you should be safe.

Video guide: {Not available yet}

Required: 43 Prayer

Recommended: 70+ Ranged

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

Fill your familiar with brews and restores.

Equipment: Brawling Gloves, Avas accumulator, Black dhide body, black dhide chaps, proselyte full helm, amulet of glory, explorers ring, prayer book, snakeskin boots, rune cbow, 500 Runite bolts

A hand cannon is the best option if you have 99 FM. Bring 1k hand cannon shots if you do this and optionally bring a soul wars cape instead.

Inventory: 2 Ranging Potions, 10 Prayer Potions, 6 Saradomin Brews, 2 Super Restores, extra pouch

Locations: Near Mage Bank underground (46 wilderness)

What to do: Get here via a normal world, then hop to PvP. You will probably have to pray melee for the first 10 minutes of killing fire giants. Use pray melee and your range boosting prayer (normal prays are better) and kill the giants. Pick up any drops that you want they drop rune scimitars, arrows, and a lot of gold charms. After they stop being aggressive, you can probably start using safespots and turn off pray melee.

Avoiding death: The only thing to really worry about is a big team here. A small team should pose no threat as they will get hit by the highly aggressive monsters. However, if you absolutely have to, run to the mage bank and slash the webs, using the brews that you have. Try to lever into mage bank.

Experience per brawling glove: Not sure

Method #3: Hellhounds/Volcano

Summary: The wilderness volcano provided us with a good method to use in Bounty Hunter worlds. The most easy of these to safespot are the hellhounds but you can do others. The danger is somewhat low.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: None really

Recommended: 43+ Prayer, 70+ Ranged

Familiars: Pack yak (96) > War tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

Fill familiar with brews and restores.

Equipment: Brawling gloves, Avas accumulator, Black dhide body, black dhide chaps, Charged amulet of glory, Ring of life, Snakeskin boots, Guthix coif, Unholy book, Rune cbow, 500 Runite bolts

If you have 99 FM, you can use a Hand Cannon with 1k Hand Cannon Shots, as well as replace the accumulator with a Soul Wars Cape.

Inventory: 2 Ranging potions, 8 Prayer potions, 6 Saradomin Brews, 2 Super Restores, 5 Sharks, extra pouch

Locations: Wilderness Volcano

What to do: Get in a safespot and start ranging the hellhounds or whatever monster you are doing. You might be attacked by another monster while in the safespot, in which case you should pray melee. Use your range boosting prayer (normal prayers are better) and keep killing the monster, looting anything that you want to keep.

Avoiding death: Dont do this on a PvP world as the bank is not safe. Use your brews and restores and make your way to the exit toward the southeast. Monsters will probably attack the person hitting you eventually. If you must, use an amulet of glory to teleport to edgeville. Pray appropriately as well.

Experience per brawler: Not sure

Method #4: Green Dragons

Summary: This is a method focused on making money more than gaining experience, but for those that are low on money and that could use the cash, they should consider this. The danger is pretty low.

Video guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: Nothing really

Recommended: 70+ Ranged

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

You shouldnt need to fill your familiar with anything.

Equipment: Brawling gloves, anti-dragon shield, avas accumulator, black dhide body, black dhide chaps, amulet of glory charged, ring of life, guthix coif, rune cbow, 500 broad-tipped bolts

Use adamant bolts or something else if you cant use broad tipped.

Inventory: 1 Ranging potion, 6 Saradomin brews, 2 super restores, 4 Sharks

Bring banking scrolls if you have yak

Locations: Level 20 East wilderness, Level 35 north of volcano, level 13 west wilderness

What to do: There are many various safespots at the first two locations listed. Range the dragons and when you kill them, pick up the bones and hides. If you are using a yak, I think you should be able to bank both the hides and the bones. Also if you are high enough defence, you can tank the dragons and range them instead.

Avoiding death: Running through the dragons can help. Try to glory out. If you are at 35 wilderness dragons, try and run southwest to 30 wilderness to glory out. Use your brews as necessary and pray.

Experience per brawler: Unsure.

Other methods

Lesser demons used to be on the list, but I removed them as there are better methods and lesser demons really arent that great due to having a low HP. Also, pking at the level 44 portal has become popular, which is pretty close by.

You can take advantage and use a focus sight on slayer if you wish, but its a little bit risky due to the cost of a focus sight.

[hide=Smithing]Smithing Brawling Gloves

Uses per brawler: 434

Video Directory: {Not available yet}

Method #1: Mage Bank

Summary: This is the best method for higher levels because you will most likely not be attacked. Dont use this if you are a lower level because you will most likely die.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 40+ summoning

Recommended: 120+ combat and 52+ summoning highly recommended, knowledge of how to tank a team

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

Fill your familiar with brews and restores.

Equipment: Brawling gloves, Black Dhide body, Black Dhide chaps, Rune full helm, Rune sq shield, Phoenix necklace, Legends Cape, cheap slash weapon.

{pic}

Inventory: Hammer, 25 Bars of the best plate you can smith, 1 Saradomin brew, 1 Super restore

{pic}

Locations: West of Mage Bank

What to do: Start inside of Mage Bank and lever out. If there isnt a massive amount of people, slash the webs and run west to the anvil. Smith 5 platebodies and run back, lever back into mage bank, and get more bars. Note that if you do this in PvP or a non +1 world that there will most likely be a lot less people around.

Avoiding death: If you are comfortable tanking out a teleblock, you can do this in PvP or a Bounty Hunter non +1 world (PvP has the least people). Use your brews (remember, 3 brew doses for 1 super restore dose) and try to time how long the teleblock has lasted for. Try not to camp next to the lever, but if you are not comfortable with timing the teleblock or you lose track of time, you probably should. Running around the building can help.

With a pack yak, you can start banking your items when you are attacked.

Experience per brawler: 434000 with Mith Plates, 572500 with adamant plates

Method #2: Dareeyak Teleport

Summary: This is another method that can be safer than Mage Bank, but sometimes people like to PK here even though there is rarely ever anyone here, especially with risk. This whole place is multicombat and you pretty much need the ancients spellbook to do this.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 80 Magic, Ancients spellbook available

Recommended: 70 Smithing

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

Fill your familiar with 20 bars. A familiar is not really required if you dont want.

Equipment: Air or Fire staff, Brawling gloves, Ring of life, optionally wear an Amulet of Glory that is charged (wear dragonhides if you do)

{pic}

Inventory: Law runes, air/fire runes, Hammer, 25 bars (or 20 + some food)

{pic}

Locations: Level 23 western wilderness

What to do: In a BH+1 world, teleport to Dareeyak and run east to the anvil. Smith your platebodies, withdraw bars from your familiar if you have one, and smith some more. Run south and use a different teleport, or use a glory to edgeville. Get more bars from the bank, withdraw more laws/airs/fires if needed (do not bring all of them), and repeat.

Avoiding death: Youre going to have to be quick and glory if you see a team. Remember that you can not use regular teleports over level 20 wilderness, only a few work up to 30 such as an amulet of glory.

Experience per brawler: 434000 with mithril plates; 572500 with adamant plates

[hide=Thieving]Thieving Brawling Gloves

Uses per brawling glove: About 425-450

Video Directory: {Not available yet}

Method #1: Pyramid Plunder

Summary: By far the best method to do for almost any level. There are a few methods to do this. The amount of experience per brawling glove will vary depending on this. However you will not be getting a lot of EP. There is a low danger level with the right quest done, but be aware that it is multicombat inside. If you dont have the quest done for the bank, the danger is medium.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 21 Thieving

Recommended: 51 Thieving, Spirits of the Elid quest (I forget the quest needed for bank)

Familiars: Unicorn Stallion (88) > Bunyip (68) > Pack Yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

A bunyip will be enough to keep you full health but Unicorn Stallion is safer because of the instant healing. If you have a Beast of Burden, fill it with food or brews/restores.

Equipment: Rune gloves from RFD, Avas Accumulator, Black Dhide body, Black Dhide chaps, Rune full helm, Ring of life, Climbing boots, Phoenix necklace, Magic shortbow, Rune Arrows

{pic}

Inventory: Brawling Gloves, Dragon dagger, 5 saradomin brews, 2 super restores, 1 prayer potion, 2 Super antipoisons, Teleport to House tab, Sharks/monkfish

If you are comfortable, you can bring a pharaohs sceptre and open up 6 spaces for gold items. Note that you should only do this at 71+ thieving.

{pic}

Locations: Sophanem

What to do: Teleport using the top teleport on your scepter if you are using it. Otherwise use the doors outside until you find the right one. Note this as it will be the door for up to another 30 minutes. Right click the mummy and quick-start the game, making sure you are NOT wearing your brawling gloves. Make your way through the rooms until you get to the second best room that you can do. Pass the spikes, then optionally wear the brawling gloves. Loot urns (do not search as it will waste an extra use of the glove) and then loot the chest when you have half your time left, and search the doors to reach your best room. Unequip your gloves to pass the spikes (they only give 10 experience) and after you pass them, equip and loot all the urns and search the chest at the end. If you finish with extra time, leave by using the door with a white light coming through it.

Note that you can equip the gloves for only the last room, or you can just skip your 2nd best. I recommended looking at the experience tables for Pyramid Plunder {link} and experimenting yourself to see what you like.

Avoiding death: Bring some rune arrows and a dragon dagger if you want. You can always fight back or you can utilize the various obstacles inside. Teleport if you have to. If you are outside then make your way to the bank it is safe.

Experience per brawler: It can be anywhere from 200k-500k depending on levels and the method you use

Method #2: Rogues

Summary: This was the first thing that people thought of doing for thieving brawlers, but these turn up TERRIBLY short. I really do not recommend doing this but I put this in the guide just to have it there. Its a good way to show people how Pyramid Plunder is at least 5 times better.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: Copypaste

Recommended: Nothing else really.

Familiars: Bunyip (68)

You dont really need anything else.

Equipment: A cheap slash weapon, brawling gloves

Inventory: A few food.

Locations: Southwest of the Mage Arena, Rogues Castle

What to do: You should probably do this to the Southwest of the Mage Arena as it is single combat there. Pickpocket the rogues, dropping some items when your inventory gets full. The brawling gloves will not last very long and there shouldnt be many pkers.

Avoiding death: It is likely that someone will come try and kill you. At the rogues castle you should have time to log out. At mage bank Id rather just die than risk anything, but if you are risking then you should run towards the lever and use brews/restores. Chances are you wont get teleblocked until you are close to the lever

Experience per brawler: Its about 45k. Its really not good.

  • [/hide]

[hide=Woodcutting (WC)]Woodcutting (WC) Brawling Gloves

Uses per brawler: Around 700-750

Video Directory: {Not available yet}

Method #1: Sawmill minigame

Summary: I was told about this not too long ago as being the best method, being similar to agility brawler methods in the fact that you get a large bonus at the end. On top of this, it is a hotzone. Danger is medium-high because people can sometimes come and you cant bring a familiar, but escaping is definitely possible. Ive not tested this but looking at how it works Im sure that this is the best method provided that it works.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 80 Woodcutting

Recommended: Path of Glouphrie, Crystal Saw

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > Nothing.

I dont think familiars are allowed inside.

Equipment: Black Dhide body, Black Dhide chaps, Black dhide vambs, Rune full helm, Rune kiteshield, Phoenix Necklace, Magic staff, Ring of life.

{pic}

Inventory: Brawling gloves, Crystal saw or Regular saw, Earth tiara, Teleport to house tabs, 6 Saradomin brews, 2 super restores.

Bring a pack yak with scrolls in replace of 2 of the brews if you can.

{pic}

Locations: Northeast of varrock, near the earth altar

What to do: Go inside and offer to help the Overseer. Look at the list of jobs and take a large job. Make sure you have a saw (if you dont have one, take one from the crate in the entrance) and make sure that you do not have your brawling gloves on. Collect logs from the pile of logs and put them in the hopper. Keep collecting and putting them in until you have put 63 logs in. Cut the planks at a workbench as needed for the job (look at the top right) and they will be deposited in the cart. Try not to make too much of a cut as there is no bonus for doing so. Once your job is done, you can withdraw any surplus planks that you have made by inspecting the cart take curved, tooth, and diagonal planks first. You may have to go get more logs to make more planks.

Once you are ready, equip your woodcutting brawlers and finish the job by right clicking on the Overseer and clicking Finish job. You will receive about 15k experience (which would normally be 10k)

Alternatively, you can do the entire job in a non-PvP world, hop worlds to a PvP world when it is done, and finish the job in a PvP world with your brawling gloves on. This is the safest method, but you will hardly get any EP and this will slow you down, using an extra couple minutes each time, which adds up quickly.

Avoiding death: Your best bet is to hope that the attacker does not have an earth tiara. Go into the earth altar and log out and hop. The best method to avoid death is to do the job in a non-PvP world and hop to finish the job with your brawling gloves on, then repeat the process.

Experience per brawler: Youre looking at millions of experience. Theyre going to last a long time like this.

Method #2: Wilderness Magic Tree

Summary: This is going to cost you a bit with rune hatchets. I personally dont like this method on the way that it looks because it is likely that you will die. The danger is pretty high. I havent actually tried this yet.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 75 Woodcutting

Recommended: 83 Woodcutting, Spirit of Summer done, access to the Ancients spellbook

Familiars: Pack Yak (96) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

War Tortoises tend to be expensive and the chance of death is high, so I did not include them. Leave these empty.

Equipment: Rune hatchet, brawling gloves, ring of life, optionally an amulet of glory charged

{pic}

Inventory: 3 Saradomin Brews, 1 Regular restore, runes to teleport, Jennicas ring

{pic}

Locations: Level 23 wilderness

What to do: Go to the Magic Tree and chop at it. When it falls, you can either hop worlds or go into the Spirit World with the Jennicas Ring to cut the Cursed Magic tree with your brawling gloves off. Put spare logs in your familiar. Keep going until you have a full inventory of magic logs. Teleport when needed to bank.

Avoiding death: You could bring a glory and teleport with that, but its risky. Chances are you will die from a team because it is multicombat. Use your brews and restore if its a small team and try to escape if you can though.

Experience per brawler: About 732000 experience from the brawling glove itself

Method #3: Ivy

Summary: This is my favorite method by far. You can easily fill your inventory up with food and restores, keeping a few spaces for birds nests. There are a variety of places to do this at. The safest are, of course, the ones that arent in hotzones, and the most popular are in varrock because it is a hotzone. The danger is low to medium.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: Need this

Recommended: Nothing more is really needed

Familiars: Beaver (33) OR Pack yak (96) > War Tortoise (67) > Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull ant (40)

If you are using a beast of burden, put some brews and super restores in it.

Equipment: Brawling gloves, black dhide body, rune platelegs, rune full helm, rune sq shield, rune hatchet, phoenix necklace OR rabbits foot necklace, ring of life, climbing boots

In varrock it is a good idea to use prayer gear.

{pic}

Inventory: 12 Sharks, 7 Saradomin brews, 3 super restores, Teleport to house tab, extra pouches, summoning potion

{pic}

Locations: Varrock Farming Tree spot, North Varrock Yews, South of Castle Wars, north of Yanille, north of Falador, southeast of Taverly

Taverly and Falador spots are not recommended because of the multi areas that are nearby there.

What to do: Start cutting the ivy and watch out for anyone that might rush you. Also watch for birds nests to drop. Pick up any birds nests that drop and continue you will not have to bank unless you are attacked.

Avoiding death: Run towards the bank remember if you are in Varrock that you cant go into the Grand Exchange with a familiar so be careful. Pray appropriately, and use your brews and sharks. It shouldnt be very hard as most of these are not located far from a bank. Note that in a nonhotzone, you most likely wont have a lot of people attacking you.

Experience per brawler: About 365,000

Method #4: Oak Trees

Summary: This is fast and good experience, especially for those that have low levels. The danger is low because these oak trees are in low level wilderness. You can get a little bit of EP while you do this as well. Remember that you have to drop oak logs though. Also, birds nests seem to drop somewhat often for oak trees.

Video Guide: {Not available yet}

Requirements: 15 Woodcutting

Recommended: Nothing else really needed

Familiars: Spirit Terrorbird (52) > Bull Ant (40)

Use a cheap pouch because you dont need a lot of food. Fill it with some sharks

Equipment: Brawling gloves, Proselyte legs, Proselyte platebody, Proselyte helm, Amulet of Glory charged, Rune hatchet, Ring of life, Prayer book

Inventory: 3 Saradomin Brews, 1 Super restore, 5 Prayer potions

Locations: Level 1 north of monastery, north of varrock level 1 in multi

What to do: Cut the oak logs and make sure you are not in the safe area. Pray melee, and drop the oak logs when your inventory is getting full. Pick up any Birds Nests that drop on the ground.

Avoiding death: Doing this in a non +1 world is a lot safer. Use your brews and withdraw food from your familiar and run out the wilderness. Chances are it wont be hard to escape, but glory out if you need to.

Experience per brawler: About 108,450 experience.

Other Methods for WC brawlers

You can do Magic and/or Yew trees outside of the wilderness (edgeville in a BH world is the best for yews, being a safe area). This is decent money while you get some extra experience, and is more experience than cutting Oaks. However it has a high requirement and is slow to do, so I dont really recommend it.

  • [/hide]

Section 5.0: Additional Tips/Tricks

  • Tele up to 30 wild (BH): Alternatives to the Amulet of Glory in a BH world is to use a Combat Bracelet. However, you will have to switch to this from your brawling gloves to be able to teleport in an emergency situation. You can use the Combat Bracelet teleport to the Monastery, which will place you to the west of Edgeville.
  • Tele up to 30 wild (PvP): If you have the proper level to use the Fishing Guild, then the Skills Necklace teleport to the Fishing Guild works pretty well. The cooking guild could work if you have Varrock Armour 3 but you have to go through a dialogue with the armour on and no chefs hat.
  • Not praying the whole time: If you feel that you can react fast enough to someone that rushes you, then you can switch out your gear. Set your quick prayers to do Protect from Melee.
  • Changing gear/inventory: Often you will want to change your gear or inventory to fit yourself. First thing that you will want to do is make sure that when you change gear that you are risking what you think you are. There is always a chance of dying, so change this with that knowledge in mind.
  • Fighting back: This is a more advanced tactic that most people dont do, and with good reason. Its always fun to surprise people that think you are an easy kill and suddenly find themselves fighting someone that they thought werent trying to fight. It isnt as easy now due to the fact that you are always skulled but if you want, bring some range and/or melee.

Section 6.0: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where can Stealing Creation rewards be used?

A: You can use these rewards for the following brawling gloves: Smithing, Mining, Melee, Ranged, Magic, Woodcutting (WC), and Fishing. The only one that it will really affect the amount of experience you get from the brawling gloves is Fishing, and that will actually lower the experience. You will not get any more experience you will just possibly save some money and maybe even time. You will save money on Melee (less ppots), Ranged (less ppots/bolts), Magic (less runes), and Smithing (less bars)

Q: What about extreme potions and overloads?

A: Extreme potions and overloads are not able to be used in PvP worlds because they gave people with high herblore an unfair advantage. Herblore is not a skill that counts toward combat, so untradeable potions that gave you better bonuses than tradable potions was considered unfair.

HOWEVER! There are still a select few pots that you can use from these. Super Prayer Potions are allowed, and I believe that Super Antifires are as well.

Q: What should I do as a pure?

A: Try to stay in the lower levels of wilderness, otherwise youll get hit by higher levels. Most melee methods will require the use of 43 prayer to prevent getting consistently hit. Youll also probably want to take some more food. If you are in a clan, most clans have an exception to all of their honor rules to allow members that are not pking but rather skilling/training to tele, pray, etcetera. Also make sure that you are not using familiars in multicombat that might train a skill you dont want, such as a war tortoise or a spirit terrorbird. Most of these methods will still be possible for pures though.

Section 7.0: Credits

Thanks to everyone that has helped me with this guide... it definitely would not have been possible without the help that I have gotten.

  • Jagex you really cant go without thanking them. They brought in PvP and invented these brawling gloves.
  • Imaprayergod Gave me information on prayer brawling gloves and the old hunter brawling gloves
  • Absy2oo2 Gave me information on the number of uses per brawling glove and noted the lesser demon spot in the wilderness
  • Bakura18 Giving me data on Hunter and Agility brawling gloves as well as confirming my Firemaking result
  • Psvster Giving me the bunyip trick for fishing
  • Kingofthecav Gave me a bit of an estimate on Ranged brawling gloves, and confirmed the FM result
  • Bseverson345 Gave information on smithing brawling gloves
  • Danqazmlp Data on Woodcutting brawling gloves and telling me about the oak trees in the wilderness
  • Walka92 More data on smithing brawlers and helping me realize how the Stealing Creation items work with brawling gloves
  • Red_Fat1 Helping with the Cursed Magic section
  • Timlahaye Giving me the idea of using the Dorgesh-Kaan Agility course
  • 007dhlp Information on fishing brawlers
  • Nmealtime Helped by getting me information on Melee brawlers by recording all of his hits and whether he hit or not.
  • Word2BBCode a Microsoft Word Macro that converts all your bolded, underlined, and italicized text into BBCode. Even though I had to do the size, hide, list, and center tags myself, this saved me a lot of time in writing this guide. It saved me from having to write an extra 4,000+ characters.

Any comments, suggestions, errors, criticism, etc. are all welcome. Its hard not to make a mistake in a 31 page guide even if you have a spell checker especially in an online game where many words are not in the dictionary.

Remember that a lot of people have helped me in the making of this guide just look at the list in the credits section above.

I burned 1202 magic logs with fm brawlers, so that seems right.

I had 2 range brawlers, and I used SC helm, crystal bow, and ranged gear while killing black demons under edgeville dungeon wilderness. I got around 250k-300k experience, and I am estamating the gloves last somewhere between 500-750 shots. Also, the gloves lasted only a bit longer than the helm. I got over 5.1K exp per black demon.

I have yet to use 2 smithing brawlers, but I plan to smith mith plates at anvil using the ancient spell that teleports you to level 20-25 wilderness, and has an anvil right there.

Good luck with your tests ::'

My hunter brawlers last about 335k xp, I caught about 275 black salamanders

And my agility ones lasted about 750kxp

So thats what, about 350 uses per glove on agility? Thanks for the information, I will add your results to the guide ^^

for your fishing brawlers you could take a bunyip and convert your fish into waters instead of dropping

you more then pay for your bunyip with 1k+ water runes

that is a great idea! However, I would rather just mousekey drop them all and use a granite lobster for higher speed fishing :P. Very good idea though, and I will add that to the guide ^^

Those numbers for range seem right. The SC helm lasts for about 120k exp with the brawling gloves (30k without them, the 4x applies after the SC coif) so its best you bring 2. The ancient teleport you're thinking of is Dareeyak btw :P Thats the method I'm gonna use too :)

I'm gonna work on gear pictures, maps, and that sort of thing... level requirements... minimums before you should use the brawling gloves, etcetera. Atm I'm doing SC + stars... The SC is contributing toward getting tools and helms for my brawlers. Hopefully I will be starting to do this again soon... I need to, lol :P I'm gonna get some numbers on melee brawlers using black sally on str, haha.

I'm about to use wc brawlers, but theres is a very good spot you've missed.

In about level 3 wilde north of edgy there is an oak tree, with the brawlers each log with the 4x exp works out more than a teak outside of wilderness with 1.5x exp, so each oak log gets more exp. Also oak logs cut faster, and if you use a Bob, fill it with logs, its quicker to bamk at edgy with the logs and make some profit aswell than dropping them.

This is very true -- it is the same as cutting maples nonwildy, though. Eucalyptus, Yews, and Mages all would result in more experience than using the oak. I did think about that, so don't worry :P.

And remember -- its not about speed, its about most exp per use -- to a point.You ain't gonna be doing 6 rune ore every 15 minutes with the brawlers I'm sure :P THat would just take forever! And a lot of people don't ecto... I decided not to add it at first but I'm gonna have to reconsider it and add it probably.

Thanks for the tip, though -- maybe I'll add it for someone who wants to just get it over with and hates skilling, but I dunno :P

My wc brawlers hardly lasted anything. I didn't notice them degrade as i didn't expect them to degrade so soon. I managed between 250-300 logs i think, as i cut an inventory or two after they degraded without noticing.

I got lucky with my first venture onto PVP and after a few hours snatched up some Prayers. Is it worth it to grind up d-bones and stack up some slime to use them at the ecto? or should I just finish pushing to the con lvl for a guilded? (I hate con so like 10 lvls though thats not hard to get)

What i do to risk in pvp worlds is wear a warrior ring (brawlers prot over warrior) and 2 other items, like a dds and a neitiznot helm, as well as keeping full pray, that way you can prot items when you're about to die, and you're risking a warrior ring, which is over 75k risk. I find this easier then dropping 75k.

I have this doubt on Magic Brawlers.

I do agree with your idea of stunning a friend, a method by which you wouldn't get interrupted, but seeing how rare Brawling Gloves are, and its even rarer to get one for Magic (which costs a fair amount with any method), wouldn't it be burst to use a normal combat spell to maximise experience? You could even Fire Wave/Ice Blitz Lesser Demons?

As far as I know, Magic experience comes in 2 forms. The first is the base experience that you get from every spell. The experience differs per spell. The second is the experience you get from Magic-based combat. With stunning, we only utilise the first form when it is highly possible to get both.

The possibilities are endless, you could even kill Ice Warriors, who are also weak to magic.

Thanks..

Stun gives 90 exp per cast without the bonus.

Casting fire wave gives 42.5 exp + what you hit x 2

So say you hit a 20 with fire wave. 42.5+20(2) = 82.5 exp.

Thats the max exp you can get from casting one fire wave and hitting max hit with it, and that will definetly not happen every time. So stun is better as it gives more exp.

The problem is that for ice blitz to at least tie with stunning, you have to hit an average of 22 damage every hit (46+(x*2)=90) in order for the experience to be the same. This is obviously not going to be the case with something that has a max hit of 26.

And bursting multiple things doesn't work well I'm pretty sure -- if bursting is the same thing as chinning. Chinning degrades the brawlers by targets hit. So I'd assume the same for magic -- plus, stunning still would beat out bursting in nonwildy.

Even worse, using combat spells that hit might use 2 uses everytime.. cause you have the base exp and then the combat exp.

Ah yes, I could never be bothered to find something like that lol, I remember looking for something that I could just pro item, but while using gathering skills I could still protect. I'll definitely have to add this, thank you.

If you have the patience to grind bones and get the slime for them, yes it is worth it. As I said earlier, this needs to be added to the guide.

Lol lucky me in PvP yesterday, got dfs, guth spear, and more ranged brawlers \' I will try to get a more accurate shot count, but I am not yet sure if I am going to try and keep try with crystal bow or broad bolts, not picking them up

If you do Broad Bolts, that will really give you an accurate shot-count. Thanks for the help ^^

Jesus, that IS pretty short. They must be designed for that cursed magic tree I guess O.o... But I swear it seems like your data is really really low, I could have sworn my friends got a lot higher. I'll do my own tests soon.

Argh, you've made me want to go get some agility gloves instead of getting quests done. <.<

lmao, getting them is gonna take you a lot longer than getting some quests done >.< Stick to the questing! lol XD

Thanks for all the posts, this guide is really coming along well. I'm starting to finally clear out all these bank spaces taken up by brawling gloves, lmao. I will be getting more and more pics soon, cause this guide really needs them.

I might create a general section for risk and that sorta thing... I dunno. Might help for organizing the main sections.

Also, I will add things that are sometimes asked but not worth it to the end of each section -- things like Lord Shalaj's suggestion about ice blitz and such -- to explain why these spells aren't in the guide. Having to re-explain things to my readers is not one of my favorite things to do when they ask something XD

As always, feel free to point out mistakes, suggest things, or give your data for brawling gloves, I'm VERY open to these things and I know I'm not a perfect guide writer.

Thanks for the reply.

Seeing your answer, I totally left the idea of combat spells, but went researching on something better than stun.

In Ancient Magicks, keeping the level 20 teleport limit in Wilderness in mind, Carralanger Teleport teleports you to level 19 Wilderness. (94 xp) Now my question, which you could research, does teleporting in wilderness give you the same x4 experience? I'm guessing that SC armour doesn't work for this. But you get 16 extra experience per use, so does that make a difference?

Also, I developed quite a few ideas for Lunar Magicks. I don't have 96 Magic, but as far as I know, Spellbook swap (130 xp) allows you to switch to a spellbook for 1 spell. You could switch to normal for a stun then back to lunar. Repeat?

Also, another idea was that you join a PKing clan that makes frequent trips to Wilderness. Help that clan by healing everyone (124 xp), providing energy(100 xp) and vengeance(108 xp)? Come to think of it, you could do this PJ-free routine. Spellbook swap - Ice Barrage friend - Heal other - Vengeance (every 30 seconds) - Repeat.

Any ideas?

Thanks..

Any ideas?

Thanks..

Lord Shalaj

You have a point, though there are a few problems.

I will have to look into the Carrangellar teleport or whatever, as that is a good idea. I dunno if it works with SC armour, so I'll have to look into it. I'm sure teleporting while in the wilderness gives that 4x experience, though. However, if it doesn't work with SC armour... I would stick to stunning.

Lunars is a good idea, and yes the spellbook swap could be good. However, casting it pops up a menu if you wanna switch to normal or ancients -- which is closed out by combat. So it might be kinda hard.

Helping the clan is dangerous -- you'll be taking quite a few runes and food if you do that... and you're likely to die after a heal other cause you'll be low HP.

You bring up some good ideas... I think the best thing you could do is Spellbook Swap - Stun, with Spellbook Swap - Charge every so often. You'll want to do that on something safespotted or like... I dunno. I'll have to find some good place to do it with a good escape method incase someone comes. Maybe the Hill Giants in the dungeon by MB (theres a safespot there), but idk. I'll definitely look into Carrangellar tele. Just gotta be careful cause it is pretty dangerous to bring a lot of runes up there at once. Maybe 100 Teleports at a time.

However, at the same time with Carrangellar teleport you're losing the possibility to charge every so often... which I think makes these about even. Carrangellar will make it faster cause you can teleport faster with Carrangellar... but a lot more expensive. And I think this teleport may not give you much hotzone either, if any at all. If I can cast Charge every 22.5 Stun casts, the experience rates for both of these are the same.

So for now I would stick to the Stun-Charge method, but look into the spellbook swap-stun method. It looks like a good idea.

Got myself some mining brawlers today so i'll try and find the exact number of ores they give.

I'll have to find a way of using them efficiently as i don't have 83 summon, maybe i'll see if theres an ancient tele and glory back to edgy, not too sure yet.

your numbers for smith gloves are way off. mine degraded to nothing after 210 mithril plates, nowere near the 425 you said

I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"

walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

Did you use SC Hammers? That might be why... For a while now, I've wondered if SC stuff made the gloves go down 2x faster... which would mean SC Hammers just lower the amount of time you have to use them... but I dunno. It's really weird... Cause I could have sworn I got evidence from someone that SC stuff has no effect but from other tests Igot results that said it did... So I guess i should start looking into this.

I was actually gonna test this myself when I got around to getting the hammers to use a smithing brawling glove. If you used SC hammers, this guide is gonna need a major update. If not... idk wtf happened. Maybe you did something else that gave you experience as well... idk.

EDIT: -[WC]RuneScript- *** [ TRACKER ]: [smithing] exp gains for walka92 in last 1day: 434,106 | 1wk: 434,256 | 4wks: 480,056

You did use SC hammers... and this matches the 434 plates measuremeant that was given to be by someone else, with a few numbers off, but the SC hammers 2x'ed it. This is very... interesting. This is going to change a LOT of things. I'm going to have to change quite a bit of things with SC.

So basically what this proves... say you mine a mithril ore with an SC pickaxe. When you successfully get it... its basically as if you got 2 mithril ores in terms of experience. The regular experience from the mithril ore is multiplied 4x, and the exp bonus from the pickaxe is 4x'ed. This means 2 charges are used, as opposed to 1.

Basically, these guides numbers are really gonna need to be changed around to represent the numbers with, and without, SC tools. And it may now be recommended for everything except maybe smithing to not use SC hammers and stuff -- you will get more hotzone = more profit and possibly more brawling gloves.

You could do many things. You could Tele to Ghorrock if you have 96 magic... or you could make a waka canoe by Edge/GE Shortcut and sail up with that. Those wouuld be decent methods.

So from now on, if you're going to give me numbers for the skills: Smithing, Fishing, Mining, Melee, Range, Mage, or anything else you use an SC tool on that I missed... please note it. I'm gonna have to retest a lot of things -.-

I was thinking that about SC tools, i used one for my woodcutting brawlers, thats maybe why it seemed to give so few uses?

I will be using SC pickaxe with mining brawlers too.

EDIT: I got 313 mithril ore and 13 gems (326 total) with SC pickaxe with the mining brawlers. Not sure if the gems count as charges though.

Gems don't give mining experience I'm pretty sure, so they don't count unless you got them from the gem rock in Shilo. So 313 ore with, 626 without. Weird... thought it was higher than that O.o. Thanks though :)

Instead of risking 75k cash, I personally wear a low-protecting item with a GE value over 75k, making sure it'll be my fourth item if I turn on protect item. My personal favorite is Dragon Boots, because I have a big stock of them and get more from PvP all the time. This completely eliminates the need to return for your dropped cash. Just leave protect item off, using it only if someone's going to kill you. The cost for being too slow is significantly higher, but I find it's a lot more effective.

Edit: Just read a different post suggesting the same thing with a Warrior Ring, darn. I like DBoots more, though.

I personally find it very annoying to use the Altar to train prayer, so I've used both of my prayer gloves burying at edge wildy. Because of my Pack Yak, I get 55 per trip, and it takes 2+ minutes in the wilderness plus some time running back and forth- I got around an hour of hotspot last time I used my prayer brawlers, and got my second pair of mining brawlers killing after them.

My own Brawler Log- Prayer (2), Mining (2), Hunter (2), FM (2), Thieving (2), Smithing.

I'm interested in getting some gloves, but I would like to ask:

Will banking, or hopping worlds reset your time spent in hotzone? (As the kb said that your potential drop value will increase ONCE every 30 mins spent outside safezone & risking at least 75k).

Thanks :thumbsup:
