Well first off, I'm don't own a quest cape. I do at my own pace rather than rushing through them and missing out on the fun. While discussing with a friend regarding the elven quests' storyline (both of us at regicide now), we got confused over the whole story starting from plague city(?). Tons of in-game jokes, humour that isn't that great most of the times, and loose explanation doesn't seem to help.

And I believe many of the quests, especially those related to the western areas of Gielinor haven't been concluded as well? (Or have I missed out something?) A part of me thinks that Jagex churned out too many quests without much planning to appease the ever-demanding players, and is now having trouble tying up all the loose ends. Personally, I hope that one of their improvements for this year is to change some of the quests, keeping the pure silly and funny ones (cold war) from those with a more serious tone.

What do you think of the numerous quests without a conclusion? All part of Jagex's planning of some major storyline, or a result of constant appeasement policy?

SPOILER WARNING! My personal questions of the elven quests that requires clearing up by avid questers!

[hide=]I still don't get how the plague from plague citywas a hoax, and yet the people in west Ardougne look sickly and zombified! Why did the elf tracker ask me to look for clues, when the tracks are like, 5 squares away?[/hide]

The reason a few quest storylines haven't been finished is due to the Jagex staff behind them leaving (Monkey Madness is one I know of). They'll eventually get round to finishing them and I'm sure the end of the storylines won't be disapointing either. WGS "ended" a few storylines by bringing a bunch together into one storyline.

No stories have really ended, but we learn more as each series goes on.

[hide=Story Spoilers]Plague City & Biohazard worked the whole plague city angle and explained why west ardougne is on lock down and revealed the plague to be a hoax. This raises the questions about what Lathas is up to.

The Underground Pass revealed that Tyras, the king of west ardougne, had headed into the pass to seek out the elves and hadn't returned and that Lathas wanted to clear the pass and thus find him and the elves. It was also now we learn Lathas was poisoning food supplies to keep west ardougne sick and thus keep the activities with the underground pass secret. This effectively concludes the plague and the reason it is being faked.

Then moving into Regicide we discover Tyras is apparently evil and thus we seek out him camp in order to kill him, however at the end of the quest the "rebel" elves allow us to read the letter and see that Lathas is in league with them in trying to summon Zamorak back to the world. This raises the question again of what Lathas is truely up too and if we really have killed the good guy.

In mournings end part 1 we begin our work for the rebel elves and learn that the mourners are really elves, this gives a logical explanation to keeping west ardougne on lock down and clearing the underground pass. Getting more elves in, without people knowing. Equally we learn that the "plague" hoax is being spread further as we have to re paint the "sick" sheep from Sheep Shearer which would fit in with the plans reveal via regicide to sweep through to camelot. The plague spreads so does the lockdown.

In mournings end part 2 we discover alot about the power source the elves are seeking in the light temple but we are still elft with many questions via diaries etc as to where Tyras really is, why the elves are using Lathas and what the true power source they are after is. Many of these things are hinted via missing segments in books and the fact the charter ships ells Tyras Helm.[/hide]

All in all I'd say the whole fake plague thing has been perfectly tied up if you read it all and the story has developed beyond it.

Yes no story line has finished, and yes no story line has given us all the answers. But each installment has neatly tied up the weaker loose ends about early things such as faking a plague etc.

I love every aspect of quests. Even the humor you don't seem to appreciate can be funny when you play late at night like I do. :P

I love to meet people; send me a pm if you see me on RuneScape! :)

Don't forget that there is only one quest left in the Goblin/HAM storyline (Released 12th november 2007)

This month also sees the release of the penultimate cave goblin quest.

It should end soon! (150th anyone?)

The Myreque?

[hide=My Guess]The reason Veliaf didn't want Ivan to come down to Burgh De Rott, is because it's not really Veliaf, it's Vanstrom in disguise, Ivan's FATHER! (DUN DUN DUUUUN!) and the REAL Veliaf is in a prison in Meiyerditch, then you have to go in there with Safalaan to save him, but when you get there, you get owned by Vyrewatch, when Safalaan busts out his mad 'Icyene' skills, and saves you and Veliaf, destroying himself in the process, leading to you avenging him in an epic battle with Vanstrom, who in the end is defeated by his son, then, reveals himself to be Sliske. (Sliske bit probably not right)[/hide]

Due to evidence in the Dragonkin thread, I think that it's going to end in a Myreque assault on Drakan Castle, which will turn out to be controlled by the Dragonkin, tying two questlines together.

The three story lines i want either to finish or continue:

The White Knights/Slug Menace

The Elven storyline (I love it, but wonder who thought it up  )

Monkey Madness

So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

I try to remember the details of every quest, but you know that's not easy, with so many quests around. Perhaps the in-game quest tab can have a more detailed note, or better still, a whole essay describing everything (what I did, what happened, who said what) after the completion of the quest, and make it like a chapter from a book? Whenever I click on the completed quests, all I see are simple summary of key actions taken by me.
