Just out side Philadelphia, moving to Omaha Nebraska in 3 months though, bracing myself for the culture shock.

It will be massive. Very, very massive. Nebraskans are pretty nuts.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Moving anywhere inside the continental states won't be a very big culture shock. Maybe a little bit at first, but they still do everything the same almost everywhere. I moved from LA to Michigan, I don't remember thinking much was difference except that they call soda pop here (which is wrong, of course).

Singapore, Singapore.

The most uninteresting city and country name...

Hey I've heard of that! It's a state from China right?

Apparently Taiwan is a state of Vietnam. And the capital of that state is Thailand.

Won't get into the part-of-China-or-not argument though.

In may of 2000, I mvoed to Boston, Masschusetts...GREATEST CITY EVER :D

Oh hey, it's you. Haven't seen you post in a while. If you ever happen to read this, did you end up moving? (...Rather random, PM me if you really want)

Maybe not exactly a culture shock, but it will be very different. For one thing, nobody will understand him or be able to walk with him. Ever seen someone from the Northeast walk? It's ridiculous. My jog. And they're talking, oh, forget about it.

In my mind, everyone in the Northeast is from a bad Mafia movie with people in New Jersey.

I was born in Adelaide, grew up in Victor harbour, then moved to Darwin. When I was about 15, moved to Brisbane, then went back to Adelaide, came back to Brisbane, lived in Melbourne, came back to Brisbane and have been here ever since. I've travelled everywhere in Australia though, other than W.A.
