DeeKay
You're best off having no 99s at all than something like Firemaking or Thieving. They're all boring, too. You've 80 or so levels spread over 2 million exp, and the last 19 over 11m, which is just plain grinding. Edit: To be more clear, no suitable matches were found, as the forum would put it. Star.
Firemaking is tedious. I think someone on here said that you could probably get through 2k logs a day, if you're lucky. Do you want combat 99s? Cptbaker08
I'd say woodcutting, perhaps teaks or willows? Or fishing with Monkfish in Shilo. How much money are you willing to spend on it? Monks can only be fished in Piscatoris Fishing Coloney. But the fly fishing in Shilo is pretty fast. Monks are decent exp and decent cash, fly fishing is great exp, not so good cash. If you do something you enjoy for one it won't seem like "forever" or grinding and secondly, you will feel much more "accomplished" (if you can call it that) that you finished a goal that you actually enjoyed instead of just went for to get an item. 99 slayer does take time, but you have to start somewhere, and 70 is a decent level to start at. I say go for slayer, get your combats to 99 along the way. Enjoy the money you gain and the combat levels as well. Then when you finally reach 99 slayer enjoy one of the most respected items in the game. Apparently, my signature was to big.

You'll earn tons of money, increase your total by a lot, it adds variety to your gaming, and you will get other 99's along the way to serve as encouragement. J35u5_M4
Well, firemaking looks good, but honestly, if you want a good 99 go for the hard ones, slayer for example, thieving is good too, and fast (pyramid plunder)

stormveritas
Do slayer, because you enjoy it. I have done the same and am halfway to 99 without trying to level it. Along the way, at some point I'll also get 99 HP, ATK, STR, and DEF, to go with 99 range that Slayer already delivered. Great, great skill, even if you're not shooting for 99.
