Amundogus2
In the KB under Quests there have now been added an extra category in addition to the others (Novice, intermediate, experienced, master and Grandmaster). This category is called "Special quests". The only quest in this category is Recipe for Disaster. The description says: "Massive quests with multiple parts". Notice "questS", implying that there is more than one. Currently there isn't.... Could this suggest that we might get another massive multi-part quest soon? I do know that the Grandmaster category also only holds 1 quest so far, but Recipe for Disaster has been out a long time. It would seem kind of random to create a new category to hold just 1 quest now without having intentions of releasing more in the near future. Discuss :) "There are only two strategies in war. Adamthepanda
Accord to what i've read the 150th quest is coined to be a Grandmaster/Special quest so i guess we'll just have to wait and see. ~Panda General Nuisance maker of The Tal Shiar Alliancehttp://www.elitefts.com/LiftStrong<- Go and read it. The Iron never lies to you. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.

What you're referring to is what was SUPPOSED to be the 150th quest, but is still in development. And I'm not sure if it will be a "special" quest, since MMG said something about it being GM I think. He could have ment that the hardest part will be GM level of course. "There are only two strategies in war. Move forward or change. I'm pretty sure only the last part will be super-hard, seeing as the point of Special Quests is that they go from Novice to GM lvl so that everyone can do a part of it at the very least. Vuvuzela
No, I don't think the next grandmaster quest will be a multiple part one. They just probably made it plural just in case they do come out with another multiple part quest. People analyze theses things too far :wall:

Discuss :) Well not there not going to say: Massive Quest with multiple parts. now are they? I don't know which mod did this. I don't know why they did it. If they're looking for money, I can tell them I don't have any as I'm a student. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over 4 years of RuneScape. Skills that I have worked hard for and people like them can't take them away. If they give me my particles back now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for them, I will not pursue them. But if they don't, I will look for them, I will find them, and they won't like what'll happen

RFD is no longer Master, but Special. Now that that's cleared up, I don't think I'm analyzing too far. They made a new category, labeled it "special questS", and then only put 1 quest in there? Knowing that we have what was supposed to be nr.150 coming up, I think it's worth discussion. "There are only two strategies in war. Move forward or change. Makoto_the_Phoenix
This new category doesn't infer that the next quest will be "special". At the moment, it has RFD in it, which, of course, should have gotten a bump in its difficulty rating (Master doesn't do it justice). All this means is that perhaps more "Special" quests will come out, much like more "Grandmaster" quests will be coming out as well. warren211
How did tossing out the Chosen Commander be a result of potential riots? Players were angry anyway that the quest was barely epic. They must have just thought they'd keep players entertained with a pre-planned update while they develop the more epic one. I'm not sure if it'll be a grandmaster or a "special" but I'm going to start training up my stats before I have to lose my quest cape... [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Maybe we will get a development diary on the future of runescapes quests?Maybe we'll get a Development Diary? If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Zalok
Now correct me if I'm wrong but weren't the Sir Amik, monkey, and the boss parts of RFD classed as "Master"? I just checked the KB and to my surprise the three subquests that required Master level quests to do are now classed as Experienced. An oversight? Or a peek at a quest class rework? :-k A Little Note: Any quest that requires a certain quest automatically is classed at or above that difficulty level no matter how hard or long the actual quest is. A good example (pretty much the only Master level example) would be Catapult Construction, it is only Master level because of its quest requirements. The general quest difficulty class it gets is based on the quest requirements, skill requirements, actual challenge, and length. A quest can get classed as Master with only one of those, again a great example being Catapult Construction. Its listed skill requirements were low, difficulty was easy, and length was short; however because it required Regicide that was all it needed to be a Master quest. I look forward to future Special quests as those benefit everyone, no matter what level. And about the quest meant to be 150, The Chaos Elemental mentioned dead Mahjarrat, shadows shifting, and something to open its empty, unblinking eye. Now the Chaos Elemental hinted updates usually come within the year and usually within 6 months from when the letter went up. It is obvious the update he hints at is Paul's quest about the Mahjarrat and "The Big Z" better known to his followers as the Empty Lord or simply known as Zaros. If I remember correctly, "The Big Z" was thrown around in speculation of the 150th quest and the Jmods were eager to tease. We got Zanik, Mod Mark H mentioned his hints could be red herrings but could it have been The Chosen Commander that was the real red herring? Put out as 150 not only to celebrate the end of a long running series but to throw us off and making us think "The Big Z" was talking about Zanik? Could it be they want to surprise us with Zaros, catch us when we never see it coming? Clever Mods... =D> Or maybe I'm just crazy...

I've always thought it would be a good idea if JaGe merged the two ideas together. Like a start of the next Zaros quest, where all the Mahjarrat have a fued, and go their seperate ways, you then have to track them down individually (ie the sub quests) and then finally confront Zaros/Lucien/whoever int he last part. however, i don't think this was intended for 150, as in their Q&A thing, they siad there was a meeting next week (so last week) of the next quest. Paul Gower writes those stories apparently :? Personally though, I think JaGex are BS-ing about TCC not being the "real" 150, as after all, they launced a hoodie with it, so it must have been prepared in advance with distributors/printers. And the hoodie does say "150" on... My two cents worth.
