I suggest selling while you are ahead. Getting the money for it now would be better then having it unsellable later on. Of course remember it could turn around and gain value. If not I would wait till they start to drop then sell it for 5m cheaper then what they are going for.. either way it should be a decent amount more than you are getting now. Just do GWD for cash since you have the supplies. If you think the 3rd age mage top is a waste, think about how much you are wasting in potential gain from the supplies for GWD sitting in your bank. Another thing that doesnt make sense to me is the ammount of people who sell 3rd age in the G E. That gives me the sense that they are desparate to get rid of it, which also gives me the sense that they might go down in the near future. Leaving it in the bank will do one of 2 things; lose money, gain money. Using the cash will allow you to get better skills or equipment which can only improve your player.
