My parents are going to give me some cash to re-do my room, paint, furniture and all and I want some ideas. I'm sure some of you have seem LP's room (which I can't find) and that's kinda what I'm going for. I was thinking of painting the walls tie dye but I don't really know how to do that or if I should even try.. As for the furniture (bed, desk, tv stand, couch) I have no clue. I want a blacklight or something sick like that too but in general I have no idea what to do with my room.

 

 

 

The room itself is pretty big, right now I have a bowflex type thing, a fat old [wagon] tv with a newer tv sitting on top of it, a Wii, a crappy little desk, a queen sized bed and some ripped up curtains covering the two windows. The interesting thing is most people wouldn't even realize something like a bedroom could be that kick*** (without a boatload of money that is, and I'm assuming he didn't spend too terrible much on his room). I, for one, would've probably never even thought of transforming my bedroom into something as sweet as that because I just think of it as a place to sleep. But now that I have seen it - it's like dang, I'm definitely gonna start thinking about what I could do and experiment with my ideas. :

Yeah, I think all you need are lots and lots of glow-in-the-dark stars. I have to buy [cabbage]loads of them one day. Another thing I'd like to make for my room is that hanging-CD thing... I don't know how to explain it but the guys off Smosh have it in the background of their videos and I thought it looked cool.

Yeaah I know what you mean. I have 2 grand to spend right now, but that won't be enough. I really want to go full out with this, so I'm going to be working at a coffee shoppe soon (hopefully). I'd like to get all of the really expensive stuff out of the way first. Right now I'm focusing on a crazy surround sound system, a new carpet, some glow in the dark paint (I'm not planning on painting the whole room with it, just the ceiling so that it kind of looks like a solar system type of thing.), a new bed and possibly a huge plasma TV or something. After that I can start working on the designs and crap.

If you cleaned your room, it'll look 100 times better.

I wish I could do the same, but Since we live in a "Posh" House (Which we struggle to afford to begin with) I cant change my room around ot something like this, despite it being large I dont have enough room to place my bookshelf in, and fit a desk in later for my own computer. Lousy designing...

If you're still living at home with your parents, any money you spend out of your own pockets should probably go into things that you can bring with you as you move (off to college and/or your own apartment/house).

I want a room like that.... Perhaps when I have killed my father and taken his land.

Damn I wish I had a room as big as LP's and as kickass. My room likes like [cabbage] and is small. :P

 

 

 

I think adding something like a plasma ball (or any variation of) would look badass with a blacklight and fluorescent posters. I personally have a plasma cube with thick purple glass...somewhere.

You have fairly neutral colored carpet (bluish grey) judging by the pictures you posted so I would go with bright colored walls to make your room look more lively. Also I'd think about cleaning it up so you can see what it actually looks like. Take a picture of your room and bring it to the paint store then you can compare the carpet color to what you want to paint your walls giving you a rough idea of what' it'll look like. If you're replacing the carpet then it's pretty much a blank slate and you can go anywhere with it. I prefer brightly colored rooms though. LPs is rad but only when it's dark so it's awesomeness is conditional.

My room wasn't as nice as that one, but the concept was the same. I have posters that glow in black lights and I had several different types of light sources - all with their own colors. Of course, living with clumsy siblings obviously means I didn't get to keep them. :(

I cleaned my room last night before I went to bed, so I'll post new pics soon. The stuff I'll have in it that I'll use the most will be my guitar, amp, the surround sound and a couch or something. The pic/vid is cool but I don't really want stuff like that. When friends come over, my parents are usually downstairs watching tv or working or something, so we go up to my room.. but it's really lame just sitting on my bed so I'd like to change that haha... :|

 

 

 

I'll probably grab the 360 from my brothers' room too.

Start off by painting your room with a bright colour and start sticking on those glow in the dark stars. That alone will take a lot of work and you could begin right now.

 

 

 

When I took over my brothers room, I painted it bright yellow and have loved it since. I put all my effort into moving the least amount of furniture in (in total i have 3 pieces of furniture.. bed, drawer and closet). That left me a lot of room for my working out equipment (the floor...)
