April 22, 200917 yr Jagex has tons and tons of software they use to create, design, develop, and fix bugs on all the content they do. Yet, no Spellcheck. PS If anyone tells me spellcheck wouldn't work in these programs and they completely miss the joke, I'll violate your many bodily orifices. April 22, 200917 yr Will people please stop whinging This is where I stopped reading. Maybe you should stop "whinging" about the whiners? Last time I checked, this was a discussion board and people had the right to express the opinions that they hold. Not to mention that he is correct in saying that there have been no big updates this year (meaning: there have been no CONTENT updates that have changed the mechanics/behavior of the game in an interesting and lasting way) Updates from last year that count as "big updates" would be: While Guthix Sleeps, Stealing Creation, Corp. Beast, Summoning, PVP worlds, firemaking gloves/adze, Smoking Kills, updated Treasure trails, Chaos Tunnels, Fist of Guthix. And edited in: quoted for fail, Nice punctuation error too. The only thing that I see wrong with the picture is perhaps the lack of a period? Need assistance in any of these skills? PM me in game, my private chat is always ON

Beast, Summoning, PVP worlds, firemaking gloves/adze, Smoking Kills, updated Treasure trails, Chaos Tunnels, Fist of Guthix. Well that's just a downright lie. If you class a big content update as something that forever changes the way we play the game we have had many this year. Pray-x has changed prayer training forever more Soulwars has cahnged the way many many people train. Pathfinding has altered the way we get around rs and resolved "lag" issues for many hundreds of people the list goes on. I'll agree we've had no big, as in large, updates so far this year. But hell we only get 4 or 5 of them a year if we are lucky. But to class a big update as something that changes the way we play forever I say we've had more than any other entire year in rs as EVERY small fix and tweak has forever changed the way we deal with certain things and training certain skills. I mean from last year the tiny fix of allowing granite to be chiselled into smaller blocks was a huge update in terms of the way we play. It meant granite prices for 500g crashed while the other 2 rose; it caused a huge drop in the number of people training mining and the methods of mining choosen to use; it caused a huge increase in summoners collecting their own granite and a decrease in the cost of granite lobsters. Adn thoose tiny fixes are exactly what we are getting in spades this year Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
April 22, 200917 yr I assumed the increased Log-out timer was a *BIG* Update this year, but I guess not.. As far as storylines go (for questers), This new quest, even though just novice, was pretty cool, and opened a lot of background info on the Marajatt (spelling?) people. I don't know which mod did this. I don't know why they did it. If they're looking for money, I can tell them I don't have any as I'm a student. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over 4 years of RuneScape. Skills that I have worked hard for and people like them can't take them away. If they give me my particles back now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for them, I will not pursue them. But if they don't, I will look for them, I will find them, and they won't like what'll happen
April 22, 200917 yr Well that's just a downright lie. That's unnecessarily inflammatory. As you've demonstrated, MyWep is wrong, but that's not the same thing as lying. He's not trying to deceive anyone.

April 22, 200917 yr From a little seed a mighty acorn will grow. I'm more worried about the fact that Withdraw-X storing the value was a bug! There goes easy herblore. Rofl at "a mighty acorn" but taking away the new withdraw x is NOT COOL. I frikken loved that feature...Hope that in some way does not mean what I expect that it means, have not logged on yet today. They didn't take it, it was just causing a bug with the search option or something. Withdraw-X still stores the last value you chose to withdraw. The bug they fixed is this: Previously, if you used the search feature to find an item in your bank and then used Withdraw-X and typed in a number to withdraw, the game would then search your bank for the number you entered. Now, instead of searching for that number, it continues to show the items matching the term you originally searched for. For example, let's say I want to withdraw a certain number of different kinds of clean herbs. So, I search my bank for 'clean' and it shows me all my clean herbs. Let's say I want to withdraw 27 ranarrs. So, I click 'withdraw-x' and type '27'. Before, this would cause the game to then search my bank for the number 27 and come up with no results. Now, after the fix, it continues to show me all my clean herbs and I can immediately choose another herb to withdraw. Hopefully, that clears it up for everyone.

Adn thoose tiny fixes are exactly what we are getting in spades this year First of all, I applaud you for your effort, however it seems I have to be unbelievably precise in what I mean, or someone is going to quote it, get the meaning completely wrong to make their own argument correct, and then everybody else is going to interpret what I say in that same erroneous way. Let me just point out to you, without going through specific news posts, that the updates you listed: Pray-x has changed prayer training forever more, Pathfinding has altered the way we get around rs and resolved "lag" issues for many hundreds of people ARE NOTHING SPECIAL. Last year, Jagex managed to release all of the NEW CONTENT that I listed in my previous post, AND we still got updates that are along the lines of "Pray-X" with nearly every content update in the "In other news..." section. Just think about the updates you mentioned, and take a look at the updates I mentioned. They are on a completely different level of the game. If you would like me to, I will go back and weed through all of the "In other news..." sections from 2008 and point out amazing things they have done that were not headline content updates. Off of the top of my head, I can already think of increased bank space and the bank tab interface being added in the 2008 year. Not to mention the many improvements and reworks they did to things like Bounty Hunter, and basically fixing most of the Summoning skill once it was already released. Or, how about the interface update that showed us our HP and run energy up by the mini map?...In addition to this there were plenty of "pray-x" style upgrades... So in the 2008 year, there were a numerous amount of "in other news" style upgrades, in addition to a huge range of BIG CONTENT releases that added NEW THINGS to the game. In 2009, the only "big" updates have been to improve the game along the lines of an "in other news" update, yet you think that 2009 is at all comparable to 2008 (THUS FAR...I understand that the BTS 2009 said that there are a lot of GREAT plans for this year, however there is no reason to even consider the possible plans due to the absolute failure of "plans" so far this year, i.e.: mobilizing armies, the 150th quest that was supposed to be a large and amazing quest) Soulwars has cahnged the way many many people train. This mini game has not changed anything. The rewards system is completely unimaginative. Lets see, you get points for playing the game, and you trade those points in for exp. Wow, so basically the mini game is the same as Pest Control, except there is no guarantee of winning and there is no useful new objects that can also be attained from points. Does anyone else find it completely ironic that during "upgrade year" (where the goal is to make many things in the game more useful) the FEW content updates that we DO receive are marginally useful? Looks like 2010 is going to require another upgrade year where they take all the updates from 2009 and rework them so that they actually add something nice to the game. Need assistance in any of these skills? PM me in game, my private chat is always ON
April 22, 200917 yr In 2008 they announced some stuff, all combat related in return for the old Wildernis. Almost everything they announced we got. In 2009 they announced all upgrades, and upgrades we got. About the quest, I like the extra info about the Mahjarrat, and I don't think the last quest of that serie will be easy.
April 23, 200917 yr new quest was random and way to easy .. when seeing the requirements i went to finish it at once, had expected a little higher levels considering it is a Fremmy quest (in some way)
April 23, 200917 yr new quest was random and way to easy .. when seeing the requirements i went to finish it at once, had expected a little higher levels considering it is a Fremmy quest (in some way) it's the beginning of a new quest line. It was an awesome quest, you can't expect high difficulty from an opener. [hide]Damnit, I tripped over Magzar's half inflated blow-up doll and hurt myself. April 23, 200917 yr Is it? I consider it to be a small part of a larger story arc about the Mahjarrat in general.
April 23, 200917 yr I don't see why anybody thinks this is a good update. Because it has a good story line? Are you serious? Read a book. I don't want my quests to be dull as hell but I can't believe people are like "This quest is good because it developed a story line!!". Seriously. Entertaining quests are nice but there are these things called books. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature. ^^^At least I'm not the only crazy one

I personally really really enjoyed this quest and can't wait for part 2, and 3 and 4 and 5.... It also had a decent puzzle. Also, the dead tree covered in snow. Do they apear anywhere else than just at the entrance to the new jelly cave? Rubber chicken, you're the one,who makes Runescape, so much fun!Would be fun if jagex brought in biological warfare... Or even Tesla coils. I like to eat cake while excruciating!
April 23, 200917 yr I'd say its safe to say we had a few months of slow content because the previous ceo clearly rushed things hence the poor buggy updates we had often the past year and the mod mmg clearly aims for quality not quantity so has no doubt put the brakes on many of the previous ceos projects to allow them more time to be coded designed and tested. -snip- . That's funny, we've had some pretty major bugs under this new CEO already. µ Glitch - Which caused MANY players to crash and lose millions Penguin Glitch - Which gave players millions of EXP, some even got to keep 100s of thousands of exp without getting banned. pvp Glitch - Players received millions in minutes, yet little to none seem to be banned. I liked the old ceo better, I could care less about communication, stop wasting time and do your damn job. There's been less quality and quantity.
April 23, 200917 yr I was surprised to see one, but chopping it down just gives normal logs. No big deal.
April 23, 200917 yr The logs are nothing special now, but i imagine that they will be in the future. Unless they just wanted to add some varity other than just "Oh lets put a dead tree here. And another over there". Rubber chicken, you're the one,who makes Runescape, so much fun!Would be fun if jagex brought in biological warfare... Or even Tesla coils. April 23, 200917 yr I imagine that they just want to differentiate the tree model names because after about 20 different tree looks all referring to the same thing, it gets tedious sorting through them all.

How in the world would someone know about it/ test it. The peng glitch was more than likely some kind of coding error, shame. The PvP glitch, ya, that was around for a while.
