But my idea was that F2P gets the long capes like the colored ones and the Chocatrice cape:

 

 

 

... and F2P just gets the decorated cape with the picture and such (and trim if more than one 99). NO shoulder pads, NO emote. Just cape + trim. Perhaps make the cape longer if needed. Maybe hood? Perhaps leave the hood out too to keep the flamers happy.

Seems like we still have to wait for quite a while until we get to mobilise our own armies...And I who thought that would come out soon :P. But I'm sure that when it once comes out it will be worth the long wait.

Any why is it they shouldn't get skill capes? Their stats that they've got to 99 I'm sure took more work than P2p'ers. I don't see any problem in them getting skill capes, I'm actually for them getting capes. The long-time hardcore players deserve them, they really do.

Or perhaps more likely they have a dedicated team for minigames which are all working non stop on Mobilising Armies and there is another team that deal with adding little bits of content. Its not like they put 100% of staff time into one thing at a time.

They would have to move many of the skill cape people to free player areas if they dont plan on making defenders, taverly, burthrope and the warrior's guild free.

It's the one he's mentioned before, where you'll have access to 'cheat codes' for classic. Just for people to get a "feel of it", I'm sure. As if they were to allow it back to how it was, you'd find bots starting to sell Gp etc. Whereas, if they leave everything free to get, no trouble will be caused.

 

I'm guessing a lot of people will find out how much RSC sucked in comparison to the RS we have today :P

Quoted for truth. I think making Skillcapes F2P is a good decision. As others above me pointed out, getting a 99 is harder in F2P than it is as a member. That makes it even more of an accomplishment, and so they deserve a Cape of Accomplishment to show it off.

Does that really matter? As it is, if you are p2p you can wear and operate skillcapes in f2p anyway. All the update does is give f2pers who havent bought membership the chance to buy and use them. I dont see why there needs to be a way of distinguishing, although I do admit an extra trim for those who have NEVER bought membership would be well deserved. (No extra bonuses though)

That could really annoy someone who, for example, because P2P for a month just for forum access or something. I don't think Jagex would do anything which proactively discouraged people from becoming a member or penalised people for having been members.

Then i would like to see the gang of angry Scapers making a fuss over how the Free Players get access to better looking skillcapes than the Members do. TBH i think this is a load of BS. If you want to get a skill cape then get membership. its as easy as that. We pay an extra ammount of money for an extended version of the game. I dont see why Free Players should ahve any more features than they already have.

PaybyMail. End of story. There are several ways to get membership. If your parents don't aprove then either do it behind their back or face the fact that you will never be a member. Along eith that realisation you might want to add the fact that members items are for members. iI see no reason why a F2P'er should have acces to the items members pay for. I dont go to Mc Donalds expexting a free meal when im hungry. Certain things have to be paid for in life. Life's greatest gifts cost the most. I think i've made my point now.

There's no "being allowed". Jagex decides whether they think it's a smart idea to open up skillcapes to F2P. Jagex decides how their business is run, and what the best strategy is to improve their income and profit.

 

 

 

There is no "should or should not get". It's simply a yes or no by Jagex. The only thing you as a player can do is either to start or stop paying, or quit playing.

 

 

 

I couldn't care less about F2P getting skillcapes. It doesn't affect me in any way, being a P2P player. I still have the numerous benefits that P2P gives me. And once I feel that P2P doesn't supply me with enough benefits, I'll simply get F2P. End of story.
