EarthySun
I started playing Runescape in late 2003. My first account was amazingly fun to play. Everything in the game was new and exciting to me. However, after a long break from Runescape, I found that none of my old friends logged on anymore. I looked at my old clan's website and found it devoid of anyone and everyone. However, I did find out that one of my old friends kept playing, but on a new account called 'Sunny Earth'. I added him, but apparently he hadn't added me. I was lucky enough go be fishing in Catherby, and I said hello, and we talked. His new account was a skiller (an idea that sounded like it would fit me) and, with my surprising lack of old friends and new experiences on Runescape, I decided to reroll under a new parodying moniker: Earthy Sun. Combat had never been my particular specialty, and I much preferred training noncombat skills to hitting away at monsters. I'm not a skiller to act like I'm better than any other player in the game; I play as a skiller for sheer relaxation and having the game played my way. If other people don't like that, it's fine with me, but I can't stand it when others act high-and-mighty to the part of the player-base that doesn't appeal to them. So, basically Earthysun is Jesus's only son.
Zamorakshadow
If they don't wanna train combat, they don't train combat O_o I admit i find it kinda pointless, but different people like different things i guess. A friend of mine was a skiller, but he though he was missing a big part of the game, so he decided to train combat and leveled on me on the Duel Arena. In a few months he was already higher leveled than me >.< After that i prefer people when they are skillers
Sir_Kurity
I prefer non skillers. One particular skiller who hangs around the RC guild, (and he will know who he is if he reads this) runs around saying hes the 3rd or 4th best skiller in f2p, saying hes really rich followed by "selling purple partyhat" yea ok we get it your rich, stfu now. And then in the game if he manages to fail its um... "lag" O.O
Zamorakshadow
ANYONE, skiller, main or pure, can be an arrogant idiot just for being better in Runescape... which is odd since in this game being better = wasting more time on it >.> I don't actually prefer skillers, but next time a skiller friend of mine wants to train combat i won't help convincing him to
Sir_Kurity
Hes quite possibly the most arrogant person i have ever seen. Skilling brings out the worst in people. O.O
Zamorakshadow
How wierd... most people i know seem to think skiller = nice and pure = bad... Yet almost all pures i met are nice, and skillers seem to be arrogant >.< Runescape community is getting crazier everyday...
qwedloki100
*doesn't remember any arrogant skillers in runecrafting guild* I don't understand the point of level 3 skillers either..But each to their own, I suppose.
spooferfish
I have my level 3 skiller as an escape. When I was going for 99 fm I'd quit fming on my main and go fm on my skiller. I could actually level, and it was a nice break from the grind. Or if I'm frustrated with a quest, slayer task, whatever on my main, I can go on my skiller. Also no one knows my skiller, so I can get away from people bugging me too. :) It is pretty cool to see level 3's with really high total levels though.. sees_all1
seriously, wtf is a qwed? ;) How people spend their time on RS is their business, not mine. If they want to waste it perfecting another account other than their main, so be it. All that happens is they get two accounts, each worse off without the extra levels. 99 dungeoneering achieved, thanks to everyone that celebrated with me! ♪♪ Don't interrupt me as I struggle to complete this thoughtHave some respect for someone more forgetful than yourself ♪♪♪♪ And I'm not doneAnd I won't be till my head falls off ♪♪

Jehosaphat
To be honest, I don't see the point in having more than 1 account... Because sometimes playing on a noob account is more fun Because you can say "don't talk bad at me, I have a lvl 94 main" and not be lying, too. And that's always fun when they ask you to prove it.....
Cpchris
To be honest, I don't see the point in having more than 1 account... I understand where you're coming from...tbh, it often pains me to see ppl get a 99 on a skiller acc, and not on their main...how can u stand having good stats split between 2 accs? although, as qwed said, people do what they want. and having more than one account offers sort of like a little break for me. when I was doing 1800 addy superheats today, I'd take breaks and go work on a noob acc. Noob accs can sort of help you achieve different goals (get one stat high with lower other lvls like cb) that you can't get on your current account. benisfab
Who says all skillers have two accounts? Not all skillers have both a skiller and a main, some play the skiller as their main. I personally played this account (as a skiller), as my main account for over a year. My Blog2 Visage Drops.Over 1800 Castle Wars Tickets..
Me_Hate_Libs
I disagree with anyone who chooses to ignore such a large part of the game and what it has to offer. There are some challenges in being a skiller but the main reason people decide to make a skillers is for bragging rights/ shortcut to getting famous. They know they can't reach zezima status the fail at making RSMV's so they skill it up in hopes to get 'omg woah no waiii a lvl 3 with 99 cooking' Yet they fail to realize cooking has no combat relavance thus who cares what lvl you have cooking cape at. This goes for the same thing as..OMG LVL 3 WITH SANTA#!@$#!. Since when does making money have to do with combat.

Sir_Kurity
Since when does making money have to do with combat. The only part of the post i disagree with. Combat is THE easiest way to make money. You can make good money with very little stats, while skilling requires insanely high levels to make any decent money.
