deathdrow
I struggle to find motivation to keep myself going from day to day, I really see no point in living, I don't see why I bother to continue. I really do try hard to find motivation, and to find reasons to keep myself motivated for living from day to day, but lately, I just can't seem to find anything that keeps me wanting to live. What reasons do you have for living? do you care at all about living? I really don't see much of a point in living, but I'm not selfish enough to kill myself, so I struggle from day to day, and I have my outlets for ignoring the things that upset me. Anybody got any reasons for why you live, or what there is to live for? Because I can't find any anymore.
Dizzle229
Keeping my religious reasons out of it, I just live to make myself and others happy. Just do what you enjoy, and be a good person, it's really the best thing you can do. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
Evaluate
My motivation to live comes from the feeling I get when I help give others a reason to live. Helping them with problems and such. The feeling I get when someone tells me what I mean to them or thanks me for helping them is matched by nothing else. 7 years 'scape knowledge and counting99 Attack - June 8th 2010 99 Defence - August 2nd 2011 99 HP - December 2nd 2011
Zierro
People helped me out in my life. I have a duty to return the favor - not necessarily to the people who helped me, but instead to society. "Pay it forward." That's my main motivation. Other things include music, smoking, and my girlfriend.
warri0r45
First of all, I have to say I'm sorry for you and I hope you find something to live for soon. As for me, I love life. It may sound cheesy, but I just have so much to live for. I've almost finished my education and I'll be in the job market next year (or the end of this year, perhaps). I'm really interested to see what's in store for me and to make a career out of my work. Other dreams I have are to travel, and perhaps to even start my own band. :) Goals and dreams aside, I just love the "mundane" daily things that make me happy - music, friends, games, videos, comedy, etc. There's really no point in wanting to end it or belaboring the point that this existence may seem inconsequential in the bigger picture, because it's not going to help your situation any. To throw in another cliche, life is what you make it, and there is a lot of reward that comes with living a good life. Enjoy it! Find something that interests you life sport, music, science, news/politics, etc, and I'm sure your view will change for the better.
Pinkbullet3
I enjoy helping other people, hanging out with other people, and learning new things. Perhaps you and some friends should go out and do something random, like buy an entire cake and try to down it in one sitting (which 2 others and I tried to do yesterday, but we were unsuccessful :(). ^ Blog. nickeley102
I used to read/watch heaps of sci fi when I was a kid and I honestly believed that by 2010 all our houses would have retractable holes in the walls were food would come out and you could put garbage in etc. I also believed there would be space exploration and a whole lot of other kickass, everyday applications of science. that gives me at least a year and a half to see if that comes true

The Observer
It's true, life has no fixed purpose. The only thing you can do is find things for yourself that keep you occupied. A goal for instance, or just doing random things with friends like Pinkbullet suggested.

armourdilo
I have a small notepad in my bedroom with things for me to do every week. My goal is to do all of them before the next Sunday comes. So far, I get like 6 out of 8 done, which isn't half bad. it's only a quarter bad, technically. Anyway, the way I find motivation to keep going is to just think about things I'd like to do in the future, how I'd want life to be and how I could make that possible and sometimes, when I can't find away, just think. Think like crazy, let my mind wander from wondering about why we are how we are to how a plot changes when you watch a movie backwards. It works for me... In some odd way. It's what I do

Every week my brother and I would make a list of all the things we wanted to accomplish. For every goal we didn't complete, we had to put in 5 cents. If one of us completed all of our goals for a week, that person got all of the money. Due to the fact that normal depression meds just [bleep] teenagers up even more, and do the oppoite of what they're supposed to. Yep, that's what I've seen. It's not only teenagers though. acenator
Other than religious reasons (I'm a "born-again," Jesus-saviour-of-the-world following, non-denominational Christian, if you're wondering)? Family, friends, and fun. I live for those moments when you just can't help but smile/laugh and have a good time. Even if they are outnumbered by mundane/boring/sad/angry moments 10 billion to 1, that one in 10 billion makes life worth it for me. It also might help that I'm generally a carefree guy who can't hold a grudge, is optomistic about pretty much everything, and has a great sense of humor (or so I'm told  ). > SELECT * FROM users WHERE clue > 0;0 rows returnedThere's no place like 127.0.0.1There are only 10 types of peoplein this world: those who understandbinary and those who don't.This statement is false.$DO || ! $DO ; trytry: command not found
mmmcannibalism
Well first off I would suggest you consider a therapist, you dont sound like you are medically depressed but some therapy might be a good option. I dont really know what to suggest, life is of course what you make of it. Is there anything you have ever wanted to get really good at? Maybe take up some weird hobby/activity and become a master at it just for the hell of it. Orthodoxy is unconciousnessthe only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed. Riku3220
The trick is to do something different, add some spice to your life. Don't do something because you have to. Do something for the Hell of it.
i_love_burritos
I use to think the same way, until I realized that I was just lazy. So maybe that's some advice for you. Not so much as on the verge of "despair" but generally, failure to see things "the way they are".
