The real threat from north korea is that they will sell advanced weapondry to terrorist groups or that they will develop a nuclear missle. We already have missle defense systems set up anywhere they could strike in the us and I imagine we are putting them in sk and japan. The real threat is north korea nuking seol(spelling) and that causing a massive war between nk vs the us and sk. While nk might have a massive army they cant do anything beyond attacking sk, our navy and airforce would destroy anything they tried against the us or japan.

 

 

 

Secondly, why does everyone think we would retaliate with nukes if they used one? If nk shoots a nuke we will retaliate by destroying all their military infrastructure with cruise missles and using shock and awe tactics to try and destroy their morale without risking soldiers.

North Korea is screwed if they try anything. Still, I hope that the US and UN can sort this out before it happens and innocent lives are lost. I would have expected a revolt by the citizens of North Korea; they have an insane, incompetent, and authoritarian dictator who's ruining their country.

Which is why I never suggested such a foolish course of action. If north korea attacks presumably the south then we have to live down the fact that crippling their military is going to kill people, but nuking north korea would be arguably the worst course of action due to the massacre of civilians.
