The_Mather1
At page 5 some people misunderstood me and thought I was going to say everything I did was gonna be free, but any research and technology-containing construction will be done by minor Goa'ulds who as I said would want high-quality exotic foods as a payment and therefore would be a little cheaper although feeding someone entrecôte, turkey etc. for several years is about as costly as paying them. The first tech I start reseaching will be neural controll(controlling some techs with your thoughts). Twitter: @TheMather1

Wisp
I personally don't like the idea of insta-moving population. Also, Ross, on the map you posted, there's one white star that's unlabeled. Hegemony-Spain

RpgGamer
I've dropped from the agreement does that mean I can 1) bring military troops near it2) attack it what did hedgehog do? You can attack it, and or bring military units near it, however doing so will result in all Zhoreuc colonist nations declaring war and destroying you to the point where you won't even exist. Also, by not signing it, you are no longer entitled to a chunk of the planet at all. Comm satelite produciton/launch has been increased on Earth to 3 a year. Mars and Zhoreuc have also picked up on this habit. @Ross How much would an industrial sized ARC cannon cost? I have a feeling Zhoruec is gonna need some more protection than just some orbitting ships. Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. Anyone who likes logic is incapable of tacos. Seraphi
I can have them installed for 10b each. You need to remember that you'll probably need more than one. Also, you can get 10 for 50b.
RpgGamer
10 for 50b sounds amazing. I'll take that deal. And this is finially done. Unless you already took it, my colonists (who've arrived for sure by now...) will settle on "Martha's Vineyard." That's the island on the far left, around the center vertically, for those of you who aren't familiar with what I'm talking about. (or is that too big a section?)(I'm also trying to figure out where you got the other land masses from, though I think some might be completely made up...The top right is definitely eastern Canada, and the part below that looks familiar but I can't quite put my finger on it, or it might be made up. Seraphi
Could you explain to me how exactly you create a forcefield that can stop things like railgun bullets? Its possible, but would take more energy than you can possible produce, many many times over. The_Mather1
Could you explain to me how exactly you create a forcefield that can stop things like railgun bullets?Good question! I use a thin spheric Electro-magnetic field that works at a strenght and frequency that disallowes objects to enter or exit unless fluctuations caused by tech inside the shielded object or entering object. EM is a cheap metod of almost everything and does not require as moch power as the alternatives(if there are any). Also using naquadah in the electro-magnet itself alows it to generate a strong force-field without the need of mouch power. Seraphi
Wouldn't an electromagnetic field pull metal objects towards the ship? And didn't we already agree that your mysterious energy creating metal doesn't make any sense?
The_Mather1
Wouldn't an electromagnetic field pull metal objects towards the ship? That depends on the kind of electro-magneticity we are able to generate fields that repell objects, localizing that into a thin "foil" would make it able to disallow something from either side to enter those few micrometers it consists of. B~ Even if it did exist it would not be able to amplify electricity with any efficency ( e=mc2)C~ You never said you were researching force fields it just came up out of the blue with no set time-table as does the vast majority of your projects it would seem.D~ Its an electro magnetic field to the best of my knowledge it would simply attract the railgun round into the ship and if anything cause more damage. Wisp
Mather, once again, your metal break the laws of energy conservation. And how would you keep an electromagnetic shield in place. It would also black out all communications with the rest of the world, and make it so most electronics wouldn't work. Plus the whole idea doesn't make sense. VEGHATERMEATLOVER
I'll just research my own.
Seraphi
But how? As far as I can see, anything short of a superflexible, superdurable, seethrough material that can be stretched around the entire ship at will would just end up having some stupid drawback that would be abused to the point where it just isn't worth creating. Just use normal ship armour, thicker hulls etc.It means the ship takes longer to produce, but it makes a damn sight more sense.
VEGHATERMEATLOVER
Oh ok, Thats fine. Also Ex is completly covered with tungsten blocks around as thick as.... there about 7m each. the top is supported by tungsten at the top then aluminum which stops nearly anything.it has two production factorys and one energy generator and its almost inpenetrable. the tungsten blocks go 10m underground and slowly become triangles.it has an electrical fence aswell.
