What is with these zealots in runescape! I entered a clan chat. Said hi, there seemed to be a discussion going on. It seemed to be about religion. Now one person was making tons of points about how religion was true. I said to him,what evidence do you have and he started

 

A flame war. I don't understand why people cant debate instead of arguing. The diffrence is you repsect other peoples opinions.

 

 

 

Also ignoring him didn't work as everyone else else was arguing, i'm sick of people who start being rude to you I'm runescape.

It's the internet. If you want a debate, join your local debate team.

And if you want a debate on the internet, definitely don't try Runescape.

We have no proof that either proves the exsistance, or disproves the exsistance of a higher diety.

Every topic online is bound to start a flame war as the instant someone voices an opinion, all of the idiots come out of the woodwork to fire off every talking point they have in their belt. Religion just happens to have a lot of idiots, on all sides, and is a subject matter that is so personal that its flammability is literally off the charts.

Do you expect that everyone you will meet in RS is an educated person? This game is filled with kids who haven't reached intellectual maturity yet, it's not surprising that you will sometime argue with bad apples.

Considering that the flame war started after he asked according to him... He may be more guilty of baiting it. If the discussion was going well before he entered, what did he think he would accomplish by saying that out of the blue?

What's the point of a discussion if you can't ask question? I know freedom of speech is not a high priority in a lot of religion, call me foolish or whatever, but I do believe in it.
