runescape super quest. Discuss.

Now, I do not have the all mighty quest cape, so I do not know every quest. But I have done many, and am familiar with many.

 

 

 

I just finished red raktuber, and I think I see where the super quest might be going. If you think otherwise I encourage chatting.

 

 

 

It does seem that the sea slug and penguin coup are going to lead into a big quest. But if it is bigger than recipe for disaster what could it include. What other things might come from connections. Perhaps the ape atoll might be involved since the penguin and monkey cages are next to eachother in the ardy zoo. Does anyone have any really strong ideas?

if by super quests u mean grandmasters then its possibly not another nubey mini-quest kinda thingy or a penguin quest, it'll be a sequel to WGS....or if u mean a uberawesomlydifficult quest there will always be a MEP 3

The "super quest" involves the Mahjarrat, as that is the "main" plot of RS. The sequel to WGS and conclusion of the Mysteries of the Mahjarrat storyline will likely be the largest quest ever.

 

 

 

It's possible that they may tie in the Sea Slug and Penguin quests, but I don't think Mother Mallum has much to do with the Mahjarrat. It'll likely be a master or grandmaster level quest to tie the two in, but it won't be "the big one."

The super quest better have supreme strength boosting gear as a reward with none of them defence-giving quests.

 

It won't give any defence exp rewards, but it will require 80+ all combat stats :twss:.

No matter how epic the sequal to WGS will be, JaGeX will keep on creating more difficult quests, so I don't think there will ever be a "be-all, end-all" quest.

I'm drawing a diagram for quests and how they're linked. It's difficult, i'll post the result when i'm done.
I would like to see that when you are done. Sounds great.

 

 

 

I am more concerned about plot rather than skills. But I could say I do agree that runescape staff will likely make pure strength players or other specialized players not work out as well. But then again, what do i know.

 

 

 

Thanks for the heads up about that other plot line. I had no idea. I will study it.

 

 

 

Anyone else have any sort of predictions?

Ditto. I'm more interested in the Sea Slug line as well as Arposondra or whatever it's called. One because it takes it's inspiration from Lovecraft, the other because it appears as if Glouphrie is mutating animals to make them intelligent.
If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system.

 

Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased.

The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."

The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?

Underground Pass for me. In Regicide, when I learned you had to go through it two plus times, I [cabbaged] myself.

I would love for a new grandmaster quest to come out, preferably something even more difficult than WGS with rewards just as good or better. Although I would want the rewards to be different. WGS gave a bunch of exp and something worth a lot of money. I'd prefer something that is useful forever, like the gloves from RFD.

Except that the only Grandmaster quest currently out rewarded it's recipients with TRADEABLE dragon items. One of which would have been more appropriate three years ago.

Quests are always getting harder, i bet in a few years WGS will just be a small middle of the road quest, with alot of others overshadowing it.

 

 

 

Although i really would like the quests to all tie together. Don't forget, the Mahahahamahjarat( -.- ) ritual site is located in the frozen north lands, so it could technically cause the penguins to get interested.

Did it release day at like 100 combat with no trouble so not really lol

 

 

 

I want a quest with black arm/heroes gangs but like WGS or even harder that requires team work, and say one has to have different requirements for, maybe even some 90+ stats, would seriously love that, but It will never happen lol.

Co-operative quests could have so much potential if Jagex decided to do any properly.

 

 

 

Back on topic, if the sequel to WGS is going to tie in anymore storylines, I can see it tying into the Morytania quests somehow. Maybe not directly merging in with the Myreque storyline; but if the dragonkin do turn out to be under Castle Drakan then it could link in somehow.

Even today WGS is not considered a hard quest, it's just a long quest with high requeriments that is only seen as "Epic" because of the great storyline and because it is called "Grandmaster". Won't take long until it's overshadowed by others.

 

 

 

In my opinion, in terms of difficulty Summer's End, Underground Pass and MEP2 already overshadow it.

I wouldn't say Underground Pass was hard exactly, but it was flipping annoying with low agility.

Underground Pass whitout a guide, and whitout knowing ANYTHING at all about what your supposed to do is insanely hard. EVERYONE in Runescape knows that you have to throw the Doll in the well, but imagine if you didn't know that?!

 

 

 

You'd have to make assumptions based on the vague hints thoose dwarves give you. Now, THATS a puzzle. Not to mention all the traps around that you don't know that are there.

 

A friend of mine accidentaly stood over a very deadly trap that does VERY quickly damage when you are standing on it, and escaped it with 2 hp left. If he clicked out of it a second earlier, dead.

 

 

 

Also, considering the level we normally are when we first start the quest... it IS pretty hard.
