Should be in questionnaires... And I say RC as the most profitable skill.

Are you trying to boost your post count with all these topics?

Profitable on the way to getting 99 or profitable as in money per hour?

Why do you high levels stop trolling and have a life?

This is pretty funny coming from someone who has enough life to create no less than 6 new threads in the debate section that should have been posted in the questionnaires section.

My answer still stands with RC starting at 91.

85 mining is better.

85 mining is better.

Yeah but it depends greatly on how many 85-miners there are online when you go for runite ores. RC is steady and garanteed cash, while rune mining can be both more or less profitable.

EDIT: Wow, a debate has emerged from this thread.

I agree that 91 rc owns 85 mining in terms of guarenteed money flow. But I personally think that over a period of time (say, 2 months?) if a person with 91 rc and a person with 85 mining spent the same amount of time each day doing said skill the person with 85 mining would have more money at the end of it.

I have to say that your guess is as good as mine. I have no idea who would have more money, but either way, can we bring an end to this topic? There are countless topics out there with the same question. I say let it die...

Combat.

You can make lots of money with very little levels in combat, while many other skills require levels of up to 50-91 to start getting profitable.

O.O

In F2P, that should be Runite mining, no idea what's fastest in P2P. Cheers.

Most sustainable profitable skill or unsustainable?

Sustainable is RC'ing.

Unsustainable is either combat (not a skill as such rather a selection of) or hunting.

In theory you could get a hilt every drop from any GWD boss for as many kills as you could last (highly unlikely, but still possible in theory).

With hunting you could, again in theory, line up dragon imps on various worlds and locations. Allowing you to gain 60+ dragon imps per hour.

[hide=Drops]

  • Dragon Axe x11
    Berserker Ring x9
    Warrior Ring x8
    Seercull
    Dragon Med
Dragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kc
    Godsword Shard (bandos)
    Granite Maul x 3

Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats]

joe_da_studd.png[/hide]

You have to look at it scientifically.

Can't just say "what if you got a hilt drop every kill"

I have to go with 91 RC. It is a steady 900k/hour. Rune mining in the Wildy is the only thing that can come even remotely close.

With Rune Ore slightly over 14k(Wel'll call it 15k), thats 60 Rune Ores to break even. That means AT BEST, you must hop worlds 30 times. Thats (slightly more than) 15 minutes in hopping worlds. You have AT BEST 45 minutes to find 30 worlds with Rune Rocks. Now, assuming it takes 15 seconds to mine a rock(Quite generous, in reality is it much higher), thats another 15 minutes. You'll have to bank 3 times, which would probably take around 5 minutes each(Getting to bank and back).

Now, you've got 15 minutes to make up for empty worlds. Thats 30 attempts. That in itself is enough to kill RR mining. There around slightly over 170 worlds. That means ~6 miners will be able to share all of the worlds(If your F2p then fail). It's pretty obvious there are going to be more then 6 people. Next, there are PvP worlds, where the rocks are camped, so the amount of worlds is further shrunk. If a Rev comes, a death would put you out of the running completely, while evading it will cost you time.

Non Wildy spots simply don't work. The amount of people camping is absurd. Over the course of charging 5k glorys, I've seen Rune Rocks not mined maybe 10 times. Otehr spots have far too less to make it worthwhile.

Gaarhk RCing is sustainable since PEss is easy to buy, natures easy to sell, and the alter a embedded object.

Besides, RCing is more fun. With mining you have to look at a loading screen for 1/4 of the time. Quite obsurd.

Probably combat! I heard people average 1mil an hour at GWD. Otherwise runecrafting

You have to look at it scientifically.

Can't just say "what if you got a hilt drop every kill"

Since you can in theory get a hilt every drop then scientifically you could get a hilt every drop.

Like I said its in theory and the probability of it happening would be extremely small but its still possible.

The word is practically not scientifically.

Runecrafting for profit/real hour, but farming if we're talking about money/hour of effort. I can do a snapdragon herb run in about 5 minutes, and make ~60k/run. That's a whopping 720k/hour of actual effort. And you can start much earlier, 38 for ranarrs and 62 for snapdragons vs. 91 (!) for runecrafting.

Iceland is in the north Atlantic. Its capital is Reykjavik. What is the punchline of this joke?

Runecrafting, not only 2x nats at 91, but also laws at 54, bloods at 77 and double astrals at 82

I agree farming is the best if you're going by how much money you make in an hour of effort. I'm not sure how you only make 60k a run, I make on average 100k atleast. Runecrafting can still be one of the best with level 82, but I wouldn't say the best at 82.

I'd say RC makes more money and there is less clicking involved.

My signature got deleted :(

And I lost all the links. Thanks Gandorf61.

  • 1 month later...

In F2P, it's indisputably Runite Mining.

Since the personalized shop update though, Water Runes at 95 RC comes close.

Probably combat. TDs or GWD, easily.

I would normally say Hunter, Mining or Runecrafting, but... Hunter is based on luck. I've known a friend make 3.5m in half an hour from Dragon Implings, but it ranges from anything from 200k an hour to several mil. Combat eventually averages at more per hour than the other two, I think.
