August 26, 200916 yr I have been using Clay Hammers recently because I am raising construction. I find the 50k xp usage very useful. Not only is that a significant amount of XP, it makes SC seem a little more worthwhile. I plan on upping my mining level as well, but the 15-17k xp it offers per pickaxe doesnt seem as appealing. (Although I hate mining, so in my eyes SC>Mining) Anywho, to me <> Hammers (my case, Construction. I am already 99 Smithing) and pickaxes! Looking forward to a MORPHIC tool discussion! OL' SCHOOL CIRCA '01, YOU MAD BRO?
August 26, 200916 yr Well let's say you can get 70k mining experience an hour mining granite without the clay pickaxe. On average a fast stealing creation game takes 12 minutes and you should be able to get 23 points/game. Therefore you could get 115 points/hour. 60/12minutes = 5 games x 23 points = 115 points/hour This is 5.75 tools you can get an hour. Since you get 15k/xp per each pickaxe this would mean 1hour of fast stealing creation would equal 86,250 extra mining experience. Since this is more than the 70k xp/hour you would have made without the pickaxes it would be worthwhile to play fast stealing creation to get the tools. It would give you a bit of extra experience in the long run and is better if you don't like to mine as stealing creation is much more fun. :) However this is only if you play stealing creation with these statistics. If you play regular stealing creation (not using a non-combat clan) then you will average significantly less tools an hour making it not worthwhile to do. August 27, 200916 yr Based on my calculations given that player can make 600k an hour: [*:381iqv39]Needles are worthwhile (only for dragonhides, green being the most efficient) [*:381iqv39]Hammers are worthwhile [*:381iqv39]Knives are NOT worthwhile [*:381iqv39]Hatchet is NOT worthwhile I haven't done any work with the remaining clay items, so I couldn't tell you. Hope this helps. How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
August 27, 200916 yr i don't know about other people, but i was able to get 28 points in a game making level 2 arrows... this may have been luck or i may not remember correctly but i know it was in the 20 point area, and i was only 33 fletching at the time.
August 27, 200916 yr You can't get 28 points in a sc game unless you mean 28k. Just know that you have to wait a bit sometimes for noncb sc to get prepared so it's not always 5 games a hour. I'm not a pro at mining but 70k/hour also seems like a lot lol.
August 27, 200916 yr Now, from my observations, playing Stealing Creation is a waste of time. It's been a while since I played RS, so I forgot most of the specifics, but, I remember reasoning that if it takes 20 minutes to win a game, that's 20 minutes you're not skilling. The double experience you get negates the 0 experience you got from not skilling. However, this is assuming your tool lasts longer than 20 minutes (the game's length) and you get fractionally more than 1 tool per game (ie, you can afford 5 tools after 4 games).

With no-combat clans most of the games end in ~15 mins, 12 if you're in a good clan because the game is over when all the clay is collected. That may or may not change you assumptions, but they wouldn't be so popular if they weren't useful in some way. http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots
August 27, 200916 yr Well, my assumptions might be a little off (it's been a while), but at worst, it's a nice way to spend 20 minutes or so, and you can make up for it with the double experience. It really helps break the monotony of the mining guild, or cutting endless amounts of yews.

August 27, 200916 yr Needle and Hammer (Con and Smith) All 3 are expensive. Yet all 3 are somewhat fast. Not many people have enough cash to deal with the loss so SC tools are worth it imo. I dont need a siggy no moar.

August 27, 200916 yr Needles are not worthwhile if you make over 450k per hour, or something. You need decent gathering skills to be accepted by a proper clan and play like that. Atleast one 80+ is nearly mandatory I think. I dont need a siggy no moar.

August 27, 200916 yr "Fast Sc" "Sc Claymates" I personally prefer "Fast Sc" the couple times I've played with them they were around 2-4 minutes faster than "Sc Claymates". Although, I've only gone a couple times with friends, so I might have just caught one clan on a good night and another on a bad. August 27, 200916 yr All buyables, its been said before but it halves the costs :) 2,274th person to 99 mining
August 27, 200916 yr All buyable skills with sc tools are worth it because it divides the cost in half. And of course mining is a buyable skill. =D> All buyables, its been said before but it halves the costs :)Right. I think it was already established that construction + SC hammers = win. As you dislike mining I would definetly say get SC picks, although if you dislike SC as well you should ask yourself; which do I hate more? If you hate mining more, then get yourself some nice clay picks, but if you dislike SC a lot you might as well keep mining, though that will take longer to level.
