Dizzle229
I've never really been a fan of the 007 movies, but over the ladt few days I've watched parts of Tomorrow Never Dies, Octopussy, and You Only Live Twice. But the series has been going for like 40 years, and with that, the character has been portrayed by a number of different actors. Bond was played in the two most recent films, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, by Danial Craig. Now Daniel Craig is a good actor, but my major issue with him is that he's blonde. You see, I've always seen Bond as having black hair, like Pierce Brosnan and Sean Connery, but looks aside, performance differs between actors as well. Because of this, the character of James Bond doesn't have just one set look or personality. So which one is your Bond? Brosnan, Connery, Craig, which do you think is the best? Get back here so I can rub your butt.
Dexek
I'm going to have to say Daniel Craig is definitely my favourite, and i watch quite a bit of Bond. He definitely seems to play the part of an agent. His hair colour doesn't bother me at all. He can act really well. I'd have to say Connery is a close second, but with each Bond movie with Daniel Craig he moves further and further from first. I feel Casino Royale was the better of the two movies, though. It seemed more thought-out and action packed. Quantum of Solace was good, but unlike CR it seemed very short and closed off. TheValeyard
I liked Timothy Dalton, its a shame he only did two films. I like Daniel Craig, but I think he was let down by Quantum of Solace which is nowhere near as good as Casino Royale. Pierce Brosnan was good in Goldeneye but I didn't like him in any of his other films, especially Die Another Day.
assassin_696
I think every Bond has his merits, and each to some extent reflects the mood the era the films were in. For me, it's got to be Daniel Craig. I grew up watching Brosnan from far too young an age but (strangely) I empathise and identify with Craig's portrayal of Bond more than any other, especially in Casino Royale. After that it has to be Connery, but to be honest I love all Bond films. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

OldJoe
Mr Scotland, Mr England and Mr Ireland are my favorites. Daniel Craig is pretty ok, but not one of my favorites. I wonder how the next Bond movie will be, Q&co must come back... I want them all in there, it adds to the "Bond-ness". AndyPandy
Brosnan/Craig. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. The Observer
I've always preferred Pierce Brosnan as that's the face that I remember for 007. Having a completely new one is just weird, at least to me.

RpgGamer
I could never really get into Bond movies either, and I hate that they change the actor so often. It really urkes me (kind of like how in a sitcom they replace an actor with a new one and all the characters are forced to pretend nothing happened). Sean Connery is the real bond to me though, even though my favorites are Casino Royale and Quantom of Solace, Sean just does a better job imo. Danqazmlp
I really wanted Clive Owen instead of Daniel Craig, i think he would have suited it much better. I didn't really like Casino royale, and haven't seen Quantum of Solace, but i don't think Craig is really that good personally. Dalton and Moore are my favorites to be honest, i think they had some style. Want to be my friend? BlueLancer
The writers are intelligent, in the sense that every film has been made with the current era in mind. Brosnan was a great actor for his time. Craig's character represents what modern espionage could be like; Stripped to it's bare essentials for what it is without the glamour. Like a brutal gangster or mafioso, but with enough sophistication to have manners and use real technology to his advantage (unlike the previous 'gadgets'). But he does it to save human lives or end atrocities. The new character is shown as vulnerable just as any other human being, unlike the older versions. indy500fan
I like Sean Connery the most probably, but Craig is up there too. I know Bond is supposed to be over the top with gadgets and supervillains but I like the newer more realistic ones.
stevepole
The older Bonds from start to finish are the same in every film as they don't grow they stay exactly the same. There isn't any character growth. Craig's Bond grows throughout each film as he learns from his experiences which makes him more likable as a character making him like most of you have already mention; he's more "real". ____
Roger Moore is my favorite too. Daniel Craig is a close second with me and Connery is my third favorite. Timothy Dalton is my least favorite Bond of all time. For me he doesn't fit the role. I wont watch any of this Bond films. You rate George Lazenby over Dalton? :uhh: Right then. Anyhow, my preferences are: Connery Dalton/Moore Brosnon Lazenby I'm yet to find a solid place for Craig as his stint as Bond isn't up yet. And due to the linear nature of his movies, I'm not going to be able to form a final opinion of how good a Bond he was until that role is finished. So far he's sitting with Dalton and Moore due mainly to the fact that he is a good choice for a "raw and unrefined" Bond. However, if he can portray the suave and generally 'badass' Bond as he loses more of his roughness is another issue we're yet to see. That might push him up or down the list a bit. The one with George Lazenby is one of like 3 Bonds films I haven't seen. I can't believe you have Dalton tied with Moore. :shame: Dalton doesn't even fit the role for me. The first Bond film I saw with him I didn't even know he was Bond until about 20 minutes.
