KevinsLunchbox
I wonder why not a lot of people like doing quests. I love quests because you can get really awesome rewards that make the game more fun and easy. Sure there are some long ones and annoying ones, but they can lead to bigger and better quests. What do you guys think?
pikachu54673
I think it's because I use guides all the time that I don't enjoy quests. I did the "Murder Mystery" quest last week without a guide and actually found it to be very fun. It was a lot more rewarding to be able to accomplish something without help. Youmu
I like quests. They give uniqueness to this game. I guess most people don't really like quests, because most give pretty crappy rewards, and that most are too easy to do. Gigatiran
Most people just don't appreciate the effort that go into Runescape's quests. Go play most MMO's and the quests all involve going and kill X amount of monsters and going back for a reward. Runescape's quest involve puzzles and problem solving and have great stories that most people just skip. I watched my brother play before and he just used a guide and skipped all the story parts because he just wanted to get it over with. When I do a quest I don't use a guide (unless I really need help (MEP2!)) and I like to spend the time and enjoy the stories as most are written fairly well. Basically the people who don't enjoy quests are the people who don't try to enjoy quests. There is one quest I hated though, Ratcatchers....I did it with a baby kitten and it took forever to kill the rats and I found it really hard to sneak past the guards....other than that I enjoy most quests. J35u5_M4
People don't like quests for 2 reasons in my own opinion: 1) They use Guides, what's the point? You know what's gonna happen. 2) Like easy stuff or aren't fans of puzzle; or can't solve them so they get angry. I think the main reason is the 1st one, I used guide on 90% of my quests and I regret it (Except for MEP2, let's hope MEP3 has a harder puzzle so I can use my brain)
Dax
Quests are epic win. I love to do them without a guide, and regret using guides for alot of mine. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
Erichermit
Quests are my favorite part of the game. It really makes them so much better if you complete them without a guide. Nenga
Rewards, bah,. I'm fine with only my quest cape as a reward. I play a quest for the story, and such I read every line. And because of that I really liked TCC even though nobody else did. Quests arn't for everyone and if other people don't enjoy the quests then shame for them, i'll get on with my life. I used a guide when I was younger but I haven't used a quest guide for ages. I usually finish them before the guide is out anyway. Ponies!
KevinsLunchbox
I use tip.it guides for everything. The only quest I ahve done on my own was fur n seek. Even all f2p quests i used guides. I do quests for rewards :P
1wngedangel
I use guides, but usually just so I know what items to bring. I really hate having to make several bank trips for a quest that can be completed without any. Other than that, most of the quests are a lot of fun and I enjoy doing them (the exception being things like MEP2 and Desert Treasure). Like other people said, the stories are usually very well written, and you can tell people put a lot of time and hard work into making them. Returned3
Whenever a new quest comes out, it is just seen as a race as to who can finish it first and obtain the special object that the quest gives. People just rush to finish the quest so that they can proclaim themselves as the first among many to complete it. I, as a Quest Caper bear that burden. It is the utmost wrong way to do quests, I assure you. 00:00:0500:00:0400:00:0300:00:0200:00:0100:00:00 Break the Walls down!
Fairness
The reason people don't find quests fun is because many aren't. Quests that are supposed to be "hard" are actually "long and boring" involving lots of walking and/or item gathering and/or trial and error (RFD, Desert Treasure, I'm looking at parts of you guys). I personally like doing quests without guides, but I tend to look at the items required first and amass them in my inventory or bank - sure, knowing what item/s I'll need shoots down some of the puzzles, but I think it's still worth it. If a new quest comes out and I can do it, I'll do it ASAP unless I'm not interested in the storyline at all. You're being watched.
SirHartlar
I nearly always use a guide for quests, but I still find them great fun and a good way of breaking up gameplay. It is something a bit different from doing x amount of actions for y period of time. :)

Mike_Ike111
Quests are not fun at all when you have to go across the world multiple times just to fetch some item the NPC could of got himself. Every single quest is outrageous because the NPC always asks for you to gather five to ten items that he could of found just as easily. Let's just take a look... [hide=One Small Favour]Items: 2000-3000 gp, hammer, chisel, bowl of hot water (use a bowl of water on a range), pot, empty tea cup (can be taken from Galahad's house west of McGrubor's wood), 1 bronze bar, 1 iron bar, 4 steel bars, 2 guam leaves, 1 marrentill, 1 harralander.[/hide] [hide=Rocking Out]Items: Pirate bandana, stripy pirate shirt, pirate leggings, pirate boots, Book o' Piracy, 2 bronze wires, hammer, ghostspeak amulet, 25 ecto-tokens, charcoal, diving apparatus, fishbowl helmet, 20 coins[/hide] [hide=Fremennik Isles, The]Items: Raw tuna, 6 mithril ore or 7 coal ore (dependent on your mining level), 9 ropes, hatchet, knife, thread, needle, hammer, bronze nail[/hide] The first three quests I randomly clicked, and they all require random items that make you bank over and over. What's the fun in a quest if you are constantly spending 5 to 10 minutes banking. However I was extremely appealed by the newest Chaos Dwarf quest. It required no items at all and actually went smothly. Instead of walking around and wandering to the next destination, it actually teleported you where you needed to be. Even the grand exchange part was done well, because it didn't require you to cut away from the quest too long with all the teleports.

Awkward Talking Fish
I love doing quests when they come out, they're fun without a guide, and I can take advantage of the rewards. For example, after I finished Forgiveness of a Chaos dwarf I went rune mining in the rune mine and made a nifty profit since every world had ores! \
Jwen
I'm one of those quest haters who would rather spam 'Click here to continue.' then read what the NPC says and choose the option correctly. If I clicked wrongly, I would simply spam click again and wait till it gives me a few options. I'm sure more people enjoy their time PK'ing than doing quests. C110
I got to admit I used alot of guides in the past, but nowadays I try to do quests on release day! I find them fun to do, however I still didnt make time for the latest Arrav quest. - I'm not proud of everything I've done, but I have no regrets
xpandax
I dont' like quests because I dont enjoy running back and forth all over the world talking to random people and doing crap for them... to me it's a waste of time when I would rather be doing what I want to do, not what some npc wants me to do. nerdboyxxx
I used to hate quests. I used guides all the time, spammed click to continue and didn't look twice at the storyline. I so regret doing that  From now on I'm going to try and complete my quests without a guide and follow the storyline so I know what's going to happen in the next quest and so on. Hippodo
For me quests are the most fun part of the game. True, I play a minigame once in a while, and there are some skills I really enjoy training, but all that is nothing to me compared to quests. And now that I've completed every quest in the game apart from While Guthix Sleeps, I've retired for the most part. Without quests the game just seems a whole lot less fun. My retirement is temporary of course, because no matter what happens, new quests will come out. In my first days of questing I used quite a lot of guides, mainly because I didn't know much about the members world. But I matured and became familiar with the game, and now I never use a guide for a quest. To me it just spoils the fun of it. Guides speed up quests yes, but if quests are what you enjoy, do you really want to speed them up? Due to my epic stats, I have now started WGS (but I still hate spoilers). Tim
With or without a guide, I enjoy quests. I've always been the person to enjoy stories, adventures and other sorts. to me its like a graphical novel.....with skills. Popoto.~<
Makilio
I generally enjoy quests when the storyline is good, and the quest doesn't last around 5-10 minutes. I've never used a guide, and I generally do the quest once it's released; if I don't have time to do it then, I do it later without a guide. That being said, I loved MEP2 the most.
