Carl Posted February 27, 2010 Share Posted February 27, 2010 I joined a new clan on SVER, "Professionals", their clan tag being [PRO]. And I must say, it makes MAG 1,000 times better. The communication, the teamwork, the slaughtering... :thumbup: And the fact that the leader of PRO is great at directing the whole platoon is insane. Game of sabotage with them, first. He began the game with playing the banjo to make the announcement that we leave A & B for Raven to get and we'll all camp at C and destroy them from there. Much more enjoyable! Much more XP! And much more...Duck hunting! There's a video of the duck hunting but it contains some language inappropriate for here so I shall not link. I used my foresight to realise Raven in the long-run would be a complete waste, and I'm glad I did switch back then. :P Note: "Duck Hunting" consists of gunning the paratroopers down before they reach the ground themselves. Harakiri Posted February 27, 2010 Share Posted February 27, 2010 Just beat Heavy Rain. It took about nine hours. This is a game that is definately not for everyone. It is pretty slow, and takes quite a while to get anywhere. The characters are amazing, the use of live action to create the action makes it just so much more great, the big reveal of who the origami killer is shocked me. The use of frantic button mashing and such showed the frantic state of characters, and really made this game just so much more amazing. Some hiccups with sound were spread out throughout the game and it froze on me twice. Overall though, I had so much fun and thought the story was so fascinatingly complex.I think this is going to be one of those games that nobody played, but helped change the face of gaming. Krampell Posted March 1, 2010 Share Posted March 1, 2010 That is because you either have a playstation 3 slim or one of the 30% or so unaffected by the glitch in the old model.The firmware problem is generated because the old version of playstation 3 (the 60gb and some 80gb/40gb) had their inner clock/calender set to today being 29/2-2010. Seeing as that date doesn't exist the playstation reset itself to a earlier date. In my case 1/1-2000 This bug caused all online content like trophies, dlc, and other downloaded games not working. I can also report that any game that has trophy support doesn't even work to play offline because the game can't register the trophy system and therefor it shuts off. Sometimes if you also try to start a game with trophy support (in my case Borderlands) all trophies will disappear in your trophy list. But don't worry, the trophies are bound to your psn acc and you shouldn't be affected. Well, if anyone have any other questions I might be able to answer them. This problem affects the models other than the new slim PS3. We believe we have identified that this problem is being caused by a bug in the clock functionality incorporated in the system. Errors include: The date of the PS3 system may be re-set to Jan 1, 2000.When the user tries to sign in to the PlayStation Network, the followingmessage appears on the screen; “An error has occurred. You have beensigned out of PlayStation Network (8001050F)”.When the user tries to launch a game, the following error message appearson the screen and the trophy data may disappear; “Failed to installtrophies. Please exit your game.”When the user tries to set the time and date of the system via theInternet, the following message appears on the screen; “The current dateand time could not be obtained. (8001050F)”Users are not able to play back certain rental video downloaded from thePlayStation Store before the expiration date.We hope to resolve this problem within the next 24 hours. In the meantime, if you have a model other than the new slim PS3, we advise that you do not use your PS3 system, as doing so may result in errors in some functionality, such as recording obtained trophies, and not being able to restore certain data. As mentioned above, please be advised that the new slim PS3 is not affected with this error. We are doing our best to resolve the issue and do apologize for any inconvenience caused. tl;dr • don't turn on your PS3 if it's the chunky version • don't bother trying to sign into PSN because you won't be able to • the bug appears to be a problem with the internal clock.
