The Final Chapter

The day was August 28th, 2006. Lord Grug, Ommoht, Silentdeathe and Broski set about creating a new home, a new family, a new clan to call their own and thus, Eternal Honour was born. Eternal Honour was a clan founded on the basic principles of honour and respect toward our peers. We not only succeeded in upholding our core values and beliefs throughout our time as a clan, but thrived as a community and a successful PKing and Waring clan, a balance that many clans to this day have not managed to find. However, all good things must come to an end and the time for that is now.

The decision to close was one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make, a decision which was made with all avaliable leaders present. Over the past year, the clan world has degraded to a point where it is no longer enjoyable to be apart of. We feel it is a time that Eternal Honour was not meant to see, as we are now one of the only clans that still try to hold on too our values and beliefs at any cost. It was also becoming increasingly hard for the leadership to remain active in a game that, quite frankly, a lot of us have grown out of.

The leadership of Eternal Honour would like to thank the clan community of Runescape. Whether we were friends or foes, the competition pushed us to be as competitive as possible. At the end of the day, we were all playing the same game for the same reasons, to do the best we could for our respective clans. We wish all clans good luck in their future endeavours.

Fellow leaders, members and ex-members of Eternal Honour. Although I haven't been the most active over the past 12 months, it has been an honour to lead/lead alongside you. Eternal Honour was my home, a home I could never leave. I have so many memories and made so many great friends over the years, friends which I hope I will not lose contact with. You guys and girls are the heart and soul of what Eternal Honour stood for. Islamia and myself wish you all luck in your future endeavours and hope you will hold onto those core beliefs and values that made us so strong. You will all be members of

Eternal Honour at heart, and with that, I leave you with a final quote.

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."

Once EH, Always EH.

Former Grand Officer of Eternal Honour.

It's sad. To see such great clans all closing is such a small amount of time. although it is true, and expected. these leaders are far outgrown Rs. and many of these clans some leaders are only on for wars, an given the present state of pvp, it is become a much larger, task of leading and moderating these clans than they have time for, with real life, issues. But They will all be missed, these were some of the clans that founded my Rs pvp career. And showed me what a great thing the Rs clan communities could be.

By the end of 210 you'll probably see clans going 90+ or something to obtain more members; Which is what we despartly need new people to learn the pvp ways which may be hard to get 90s to do :P. Should be an interesting end of the 'clan world' CWA will be alive though.

RIP another well respected clan :\

Just when it seemed that only small clans were struggling do we see the closure of SE, DI, EH, who is next?

It seems that only the clans with a community not just based on PvP will survive. Lucky for Tip.it clans they don't heavily rely on PvP.

I have to say though, it is another clan where the leadership has decided the clan can no longer go on rather than a clan that was slumping, they are another clan where the leadership had the power. I always had a bit of a grudge with EH myself because of an incident I had with them one time  but they always seemed nice enough apart from that time and it's a shame to see them close, one of the few clans that have closed that I remember opening.

Leaders of the just died clans are "quitting", nothing wrong with their clan or PvP.

Clanning gets boring in a point, when you keep doing the same thing. And its better to close your clan when its in its rise, instead of first slumping because of the new rankers and they a closure.

Closing as a good clan is the best thing that can happen tbh, you'll stay in everyone's mind as a good clan!

Hey guys, VR just gained 50 more members! /endjoke.

What a femaleish joke :<

I disagree, maybe I am too trusting but if I were leader of a clan I would never close it because I assumed the people next in line couldn't take on the job. I would prefer to see where the clan went whether the clan go down in flames despite all efforts or thrive under new leadership than I would take it away from the members on a power trip (no offence intended to anyone). I wouldn't care how people outside the clan remembered the clan, aslong as I was doing right by the next people in line for the job and the people inside the clan had good memories. BK is an example of a clan that despite losing several influential members all at once in the past has always tried to pull through and has always succeeded, maybe not at the same strength, but certainly well enough to continue the legacy that is BK. The thing about BK is that there is no one person bigger than the clan itself.

Maybe that's selfish of me... I think it works both ways kind of.

PS. I don't think the 3 big clans that have closed were closed on a power trip as such, I think the leadership that were retiring/quitting RS were the clans identities and to pass the leadership responsibilities on would have effectively been creating a new clan with the same name.

But looking at BK you have had tons of leaders - the majority of which were very good. When you have only had one or 2 leaders throughout the entire history of the clan (example DI and Ghjjf) if they retire it changed practically everything the clan stood for and the way it was run. I respect that decision simply because the clan wouldn't be the same after that.

Eh has never been a favorite of mine, but I'm sorry to see them go. I wonder how many more top clans will be gone by 2010? :?
