I had the same problem, it seems to revert back to completed once you start the new quest.

Hello owangeness for "prayer noobs" against maxed players

 

Heck if you are maxed at 99 99 99 and your opponent is this prayer will translate to:

 

127 attack

127 defence

130 strength

 

And if that stacks with pots like normal prayer, then jsut drool!

 

Oh and if it works against npcs we could easily be ridding majorly high str lvls and thus max hits agaisnt things like Jad

Thank god for Soul Split, high hits were getting out of hand

Also I wonder if the 10% boost to strength from turmoil works against NPC's?

Wtf those prayers suck. Im so sick of all this PvP [cabbage]. This prayer update was a total letdown. Where are the prayers that do something BESIDES manipulate stats and mitigate damage.

mmm correct me if I'm wrong but these prayers will work on npcs.

Reflecting krees range attacks, graa's melee/range, k'rils melee/magic and [insert name of sara boss] mage attack = faster kills.

Extra time on boosts = less potions per trip

Sap defense of bosses = win 20% less defense on a TD anyone?

 

Its a bit worrying if they stack

5 man team + 10% to 10% less defense on boss = 2 hit kill.

sap seems handy, but pointless once u have leech.

Leech is just an upgrade from sap, you can compare your sentence to "superhuman strength seems handy, but pointless once u have ultimate strength" :P

People at higher stats and prayer levels often use lower prayers to make them last longer eg ultimate strength instead of piety.

 

However with these prayers the added effects of leech seems to far outweigh the higher drain rate meaning people probably wont pick sap for the lower drain rate.

Looks like a nicely balanced new prayer book. Tough they will drain prayer quickly, we are talking about 70+ prayers here. For the highest levels only. Love to see the effect in PvP, but the most interesting would be the PvE. Wasn't it thanks to stat-draining that a boss was defeated, once thought never to be soloed? (Eg some big bad beast in some cave). These stat-drains will have a mayor affect on these monsters. Deflecting 60% of the damage is just nice! Getting hit for 200 damage on a boss means you have to do 120 less damage yourself! Huge on bosses that actually hurt you. GWD will become much more enjoyable now ;)

interesting prayers, I don't see many applications outside of pvp unless that gwd thing works.

Personally I don't mind the font-change, not anything drastic. Seems we always have trouble when Jagex change fonts though! :P

You guys may not mind it, but for people like myself and others that make Runescape videos with text added in ourselves, its an absolute nightmare

If the sap and leech prayers are effective against NPCs this is an awesome update and will have a huge influence on high-level monster slaying and boss hunting.

 

If they only work in PvP I'm sure the PK community will enjoy them, equally I suspect that they will find something to complain about.. :rolleyes:

 

It will also be interesting to see how high d bones and p pots rise now..

ice plateau, there are iron/steel drags there so take fire protection, and you have to fight a 177 ice demon
