Den
I loved that quest. The surroundings when exploring that frozen temple were magnificent. The prayers look epic and im soo using those from now on. Il loose piety, but as said by the archeologist, they are worth the loss. The quest tied up lots of loose ends and I as with all the other Mahjarrat quests, I cant wait untill the next part. Amazing update, worth the wait. :) ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::......... Peronix
Finally an awesome quest! I've been waiting for Zaros to return since I did Digsite back in RSC lol. Btw... I had my music turned off until I saw "Track unlocked: Zaros Stirs". So I flip my music on. I immediately get goosebumps when I hear it. So awesome, easily on par with "Temple Desecrated" and "Sound of Guthix" IMO. Oh, and now I don't regret my decision to blow tens of millions on 99 prayer so much, heheh. cat666
Looks awesome can't wait to do it. Didn't see this posted here but apparently there is now a fairy ring near the waterfiends. Whether this is the in the new place or not I dunno. Either way, will make charm gathering easier. Also these icefiends, what colour charm is there majority drop? Trust the Gene Genie! i_D_r
Back in rsc they had the drain rates for whatever prayer you looked at; they should bring that back. OT: Ugh, I need to get 100 percent in missing my mummy and do curse of arrav yet <_< Glad I got 99 prayer ages ago though.
Yaurrada6
Yeah, how DARE they make us 'work' for the nice new prayers. The NERVE of those people Who said anything about anyone being annoyed at having to "work" for them? 100th player to achieve level 70 Magic. Oooooh... DarkDude
I want to know if Deflect + Turmoil is a bug in game or an error in the KB. That will decide if this update is good or not.
LatinII
Could somebody tell me if the 10% Magic prayer adds 10% damage, or just 10% accurancy?
Peronix
1. what are items needed for quest 2. can soul split be used on monsters or only players 3. can you deflect + turmoil 4. sap and leech sound entirely uselss, am i right? 5. whats drain rate 1. No items are absolutely required, but obviously to do a barrows run you need the gear to do that and to survive metal dragons / waterfiends appropriate gear would help immensely. 2. Some people have said it works on both, but I have yet to test it myself. 3. Yes. 4. If you have turmoil, perhaps. Maybe not so much if you don't. 5. Tested with 0 prayer bonus, turmoil drained about 5 prayer points after 10 seconds. Deflection prayer drained about 4. Probably not an entirely accurate test but I hope that gives you an idea. Toad
For people wondering about new steel spawns, south side seems to be 2-3 irons, north side is 5ish steels and the prayer you can see with the turmoil it's boosted quite nicely

Kepihan
Holy hell, just finished the quest. It's GODLY. So much fun, very much enjoyed. Seems like they are trying to create a sort of main storyline for RuneScape.
Sy_Accursed
Holy hell, just finished the quest. It's GODLY. So much fun, very much enjoyed. Seems like they are trying to create a sort of main storyline for RuneScape. Runescape has always had said story line. Since waaay bk in RSC days digsite and hazeel cult and plague city have sowed the seeds of these slowly growing stories. People only pay heed now as everything is begining to come together Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Jon Arcane
Quest was shorter than I expected but I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and like the reward :) Bring on the next Mahjarrat quest please!
Zalok
After looking at the new border around the rs site I noticed something that caught my eye... The fall of Zaros? The Staff of Armadyl is being carried by the man, Zamorak, on the right end of the line, and I'm guessing the white figure with the cape is Zaros. Toad
I want to know if Deflect + Turmoil is a bug in game or an error in the KB. That will decide if this update is good or not.This. Error in KB, deflect is a protection prayer like well the current ones (range magic melee) and Turmoil is just a better piety.
Peronix
My god. Soul split is GODLY. It works on NPCs. I can imagine for just about any slayer task, and waterfiend trips that all you would need to do is flip on soul split for 15-20 seconds to heal up. I was just at monkey guards. Turmoil + Soul split was more than enough to keep me alive with 4 of them pounding on me.
Adr1an
The new prayers look pretty rad. I just think it's ridiculous how Jagex makes almost every aspect of the game tie into their janky quests. Even merchanting. Yay new prayers; yay new quests; boo tying them together. Yay at them boosting Melee even more, giving it even more of an upper hand against Magic! I don't get it. Magic is in dire need of an update, Melee isn't! You are aware that boosts in mage also increase max mage hits now right? You can almost hit way better with mage now. It got an update when the herb update was released because they made it so mage pots now increase damage. And if you use this new set of prayers properly you take melee's biggest advantage away in specs. There is a spec drain in the prayers.
Tact
Echo, this update pretty much puts the nail in the coffin of the combat triangle. Anyone with 54 pray or above can now instantly drain your magic level by 10%, increasing to 20% (or 25% with leech over time). Even at 99 magic, this means a -10 to your magic level, meaning that you can't even blood barrage. All this update has done is power up melee even more, at the great expense of magic.
