Hey, Arch. Ross and I were discussing the Kingdoms thread, and we were wondering if you would mind deleting all of the posts (save the OP and the reserve posts) once Ross buys the program. This way, we can save a perfectly good thread, re-do the rules and clean the slate (if someone claimed a land, they automatically get to keep that land once the game's overhauled).

So basically everything after the 3/4th post? Will do when you have the program =D

1. Touch the South-East Asian islands, and commit to a holy war

2. My people are amphibious, they'll have a big advantage when fighting you at those islands

As soon as the game starts (or if it already has started), I'm researching machine guns (2 years), petrol (15 years), Thermodynamic exchange (85 years as a long term project), and Oxygen Compression. I don't know how long that takes.

Also, my people wear especially robe-like clothes when fighting on land. Otherwise, they wear uniforms that don't keep out water, but don't let the water soak into them and make em heavier.

The hegemony is not bieng played as frequently and all, the problem started with all the complex space travel.

How in the hell is the space travel complex? It is mainly 1 year to get into warp Lightyears/50 time in warp 1 year to get out of warp. Anyways you did kill the zombie survival thread for a good month or so (with a [bleep]ing lightsaber)...

No points, and no over-ambitious systems.

But we all have a different concept of what "Producing a [bleep]ton of tanks" is.

 

If there is no system, you end up with one person who has a stupid amount of power because "A normal amount" to them was 10,000.

That's why we say: I'm producing 100 tanks. Or 1000 tanks.

I don't think anyone ever in the Hegemony simply said "I'm making a lot of this stuff" and didn't specify what "a lot" was.

But then you get pages of arguments trying to debate what is a good amount to produce.

I'm just noting to your argument about tanks...

Of course, that wasn't the point of your argument. I say that Archi posts a standard amount of each thing each nation should make, and based on its modifiers, the nation makes more/less than standard. For example, say the standard aeroship production is... 5 per turn. Then France might produce 10 since it is an airpower country, while Japan would produce 0, since it has no research on the thing. Of course, Archi would approve each individual change, and positives would have to balance the negatives.

 

The larger countries might have more positives, but their negatives come in random events. I don't know, that's just how I see it.

I'll just make however much I think is reasonable.

If you make a million tanks, then the powerful countries will probaly make two million. So it's much easier just to start with small numbers and work up from there.

And Dusty, thats exactly what I'm worried about.

The argument isn't really about the numbers. Like I said before, the more you make Dusty, the more other people will make. So please keep it down. :D

That's not my point. How many tanks you make, a bigger country is going to have more. Say you make a million, then I think Britain will make two million. No matter how much anyone makes, everyone is still going to be equal relative to each other. That's why I'm asking people to keep the numbers down. You're just adding more math to everything.
