Halitophobia

Featured Replies

For bad breath rinse with diluted peroxide to kill bacteria, and try and make your mouth less acidic. Lemon works good for that. Drink heaps of water and breath in through your nose.

Holy crap! Peroxide? That's a bit overkill don't you think? Not too mention toxic?

also, to those people that think gum helps - It doesn't. I have tons of people I talk to that tthink gum is an alternative to toothbrushing in the morning [or just becaues they're breath smells regardless] and it never works. Gum only makes breath worse in my opinion. I mean, while its fresh and your chewing its fine, but the second you spit that sucker out its Halitosis-ville with you.

Gum does help, provided it is the sugar-free variety which makes sure no carbohydrates are being broken down in your mouth which accompanies the ones with sugar.

Yeah, obviously you should go with Extra or something minty. Otherwise it's just candy...

Crummy tomato sauce from pizza gives me terrible breath. Makes my mouth taste awful.

sugarfree gum is a cheap solution. Ending meals in a fruit, avoiding garlic are also good for me at least.

I always have this feeling that I have bad breath. Even when I don't, I'll worry about it constantly.

Screw that product, I'm just using the spoon trick mentioned earlier in the video.

Failed advertising. :P

By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .

It helps keep your mouth fresh, but it is definitely NOT a replacement for toothbrushing. Consider it a complement to the toothbrushing instead.

It says on the label that it can be used as a mouthwash, and I asked a doctor about it who said it's fine.

Just dilute the 3% stuff further - 1/4 to 1/2 and the rest water.

When you say "peroxide", what kind of peroxide are you referring to?

[Edit] nvm, got it.

I seem to always have bad breath, even with excellent oral hygiene, unfortunately. I also don't like gum or mints.

I prefer neutral breath that has no scent. Minty, really fresh breath bothers me for some reason, and bad breath is just nasty.

Halitosis is just something "made-up" by marketers so that they can sell more overpriced crap to us.

It may be, however many, many people HATE bad breath. So it sounds like a viable "phobia" to me, even if its made up.
