Turns out that Mark Gerhard's testimony may have helped Bruce win the case :) Horray for Bruce Everiss. March 31, 201016 yr Glad to see that he won the case, was very surprised by Evony acting the way they did considering most of Bruce's points were entirely valid! :P The advertising for that game is just pathetic. I didn't see mention of Gerhard's testimony though in the article? Do you have a reference to what he said?
March 31, 201016 yr Author The case didnt end until earlier today so there are no documents available yet that i can find. With it being a private case the documents might not be made public at all though. I'm not savvy with Australian law. March 31, 201016 yr Yea, I'm kind of disappointed not being able to know what MMG said in his testimony. I know he could have gone on about several things, but specifically what, which helped Bruce so much, would be interesting to read.
March 31, 201016 yr Author While the transcripts themselves are chargeable (they would have been written by someone in the Supreme Court) surely the testimonies themselves would be presented to the court as a document (MMG wasn't in Australia) so perhabs this will be available for free somewhere? War of Legends is not only a similar game in style and looks but is also based on the same original RXSG source code as Evony was built on (albeit vastly improved). March 31, 201016 yr Wow. Just reading a few posts of his blog shows Bruce really was in the right. He downright tore their argument apart. March 31, 201016 yr I've been waiting for Evony to get hit for so long, their advertising is the biggest joke ever, quite honestly. Reading the emails and transcripts from Bruce's blog makes me happy we're not alone. I hope the case can somehow continue into an investigation of the company itself, which just seems downright shady. The guy lied about his business degrees? Anything else he wants to admit? Go Bruce! Evony has so many shady ties to China along with being owned by a falsely named company based in the Marshall Islands, where they are exempt from common business restrictions.
