Well, been using last.fm recommendations and i've come across this awesome hip-hop sub-genre, no idea how it's called, but it's light hearted and cool. Not sure if this is underground, but it's certainly not well known.

The most reliable source I've ever been able to find is checking artist wiki pages. Other then that I don't know any particular site that lists them. Possibly check a music stores website?

Just did a quick google search "upcoming music releases" and found this: http://www.metacritic.com/music/upcomingreleases.shtml and it turns out to be pretty accurate for the most part.

I'm actually familiar with one of the recent sites posted and even though they do offer downloads to free mixtapes they also offer downloads to illegally obtained music, which is I would like to remind people that posting links to this sites is against forum rules.
