Shout/no shout or Tags/NoTags refer to DJs doing shout outs (most of the time to themselves..) over the song throughout. Usually really annoying so no shout/tags is preferred. Just started listening to this Houston-influenced rapper artist out of Harlem. I'm feelin' his flow. Kid's got talent in my opinion. Not sure how many others will like it because of the Harlem "Chopped and screwed" influence. September 2, 201114 yr Tyler the Creator wins best new artist @ the VMAs. SWAG.Yeah.. shoulda been wiz's though. Or big sean's. Wasnt impressed with Watch the Throne or Tha Carter 4. Both had some good hits but the just overall albums weren't Kanye/JayZ/Wayne quality.
September 3, 201114 yr I know it's sorta old news but the R.E.D album has Tyler the Creator on track #3 Martians and Goblins. I really didn't care for the album much but it has a few good songs including that.
September 5, 201114 yr I really liked Watch the Throne, Tha Carter IV though, was a huge dissapointment, and this comes from a big Wayne fan. It was so.... Just... so so, it was so, cliche. The rhymes were slow, and typically stupid. The music was a little wack also, and Mirror sounds just like Lighters, which sounds just like Grenade. Can Bruno PLEASE make a song that doesn't sound like Grenade. Ugh. I've only heard a few Tyler songs, but they're pretty good, I'm glad he won an award. I'm not a fan of Wiz or Big Sean though. I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. September 22, 201114 yr Thoughts on the new Das Racist? I've only listened to Relax and Michael Jackson, but... it's just not the same. Heems just doesn't sound as good. Maybe his rapping is technically better being more aggressive, but it loses that "das racist feeling." It's not as witty, I think that's the problem.
