April 28, 201016 yr Don Bradman. I took a paper 'Sports History' as an elective. There have been quite a few studies and Don Bradmans test Cricket average off 99.5 or whatever consistently ranks as the greatest sporting achievement of all time. I know its a hard thing to quantify and argue, but its also hard to argue with the experts. Its currently a golden age of sporting icons Woods, Phelps, Bolt, Federer. We're pretty lucky
April 28, 201016 yr Yeah, it's pretty sick to think Bradman was so far ahead of anyone before him, and is still undoubtably the best there has ever been. To think that a test average of 50+ is seen as "Gold Plated", and then see that Bradman Averaged nearly twice that is amazing.

The sport I am most involved in, hockey, means that Gretzky is a god. "Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security." Support transparency... and by extension, freedom and democracy.

But I definately don't know my rugby history as well as I know crickets :PI much prefer rugby (and league) but I was just putting in my 2 cents on Bradman and the academic opinion. I actually find it hard to see professional cricketers as pro athletes, look at murali and warne they were/are greats but they are also overweight old men and still the best.
