I don't get it either. I'd rather a 10 year old hilux over a sports car any day.

I've heard of having pride but that's just ridiculous.

I've ridden in a Porsche 911, and the novelty of speeding and how cool it looks wore off in like 20 minutes. Also, what's with the aftermarket spoilers? Unless you do some serious street racing, all that does is draw the attention of cops and make you look like a tool.

For street racers, spoilers control the air flow of the vehicle, giving you better steering at high speeds (like 90-100 mph). On

local speeds, it doesn't really make a difference. I can't picture a middle aged mother having her grocery getter

installed one. They are usually for punk drivers or young naive people thinking spoilers is the "way" for 2 door cars and convertibles.

I find it funny when people put spoilers on cars which are front-wheel driven.

If I'm not mistaken, FWD vehicles can produce rear end lift due to rear aerodynamic design and weight distribution.

They can be useful on FWD cars as well, but for the most part, only ricers do these things.

Also,

Its not pride, I would prefer the ute. With the hilux I can go 4wding, and I can carry furniture etc if I need to. With a sports car I can do what? Accelerate fast? What if I buy a fridge?

I'd assume that you'd own two cars. A Porsche and a station wagon for example.

Which is what I plan on getting anyway. A 'lux and a bike.

Maybe its just me but when I think sports car I think of either a 17 year old with an old rusted monaro with mag wheels and a busted up front, or a 40 year old divorced bloke.

Most 4wd's are pretty pricy over here. Things like the hilux are usually pretty high in kms if they're cheap, or they've been thrashed off road.

What's the point of buying a non utilitarian car?

Uhhh....maybe because people have extra money, love cars, love to LEGALLY race, and love to go to the track. And they want to do all of that in a car that's relatively built for the track as opposed to something slower (like a Jetta sedan or something).

I find it funny when people put spoilers on cars which are front-wheel driven.

I find it funny that people don't know the dynamics of how a car works. And Demby beat me to it <3:

Here's another of my car:

Your pictures of this car are showing nothing but the type r sticker. Are you for real?

Managed to pay a 600 dollar quote at a auto paint shop and got all the major scratches off my car. The kbb says my car just jumped

800 dollars in value because of that. wewt.

Type R refers to integra type R. And they're pretty much everywhere on the streets.

I don't see many around here, let alone other than the type r. I would still repeat what Iamdan said here.

I was referring to the fact that the pictures of your car show nothing but the sticker, like "hey look guys my car is type r"

I was just wondering if you were trolling but I guess not.

At production car speeds around a track (where cars rarely go more than 120), traction is less about drivetrain layout/downforce and more about tires.

In the Netherlands.

Lets get drunk and high, but we can't drive.

It's probably something else though.

"The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."

siggy3s.jpg

18 in Estonia aswell. If you want speed, take a look at motorcycles, ffs. $80k nets you a bike with 0-60 mph time of 4.4 secs and as a bonus it only takes 5 litres for 100 km's.

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc
