Ok, so i was wondering if it would be efficient to bring super attack and defence pots for every slayer task. Currently I only bring them for harder tasks (such as Iron dragons).

Yeah its really efficient, bring super strengths too. Don't need def for every task but they never hurt I guess.

Using them on every task generally speeds it up considerably, and more often than not the drops negate the cost of the potions.

 

Edit: I seemed to have read it to fast. As D Jay said, def pots aren't needed most of the time. Strength and attack pots, however, should be used for increased efficiency. :thumbup:

I wouldn't bother with super def pots, just use enhanced excallibur if you need some def bonus. ALWAYS use super attack and strength pots though, it's very worthwhile.

You especially don't need def pots when you should be praying protect (like at irons) since def is negligible then, but yes as stated above super att and str pots should always be used on task (or even just for training in general).

Well- on some tasks you may want a full super set- but aside from that, super attack and strth are a good choice- I always use em!

Super atks and defs are efficient at practically any income. You may skip the defs for saving space though.

Super strs are a bit more costly, but surely your income justifies them.

I bring all three supers, unless I'm

 

A - Fighting something so low level it doesn't matter (ex harpies)

B- Using prayer (drags)

Pure set or better, ALWAYS unless you aren't meleeing.

Always use a super set, specifically super attack and strength. Prayers to constant piety/turmoil/whatever. Efficiency.

Most definitely always use them, their costs are negligible.

Would you guys recommend bringing ranging pots on every task too?

Ranging pots as well, since they aren't too expensive either.

Ranging potions only if you're ranging or cannoning, of course.

I haven't tested this personally, but I think it warrants some mention.

 

Magic defense is composed of ~80% your magic level and 20% your defense level. So your overall magic defense by level (not considering armor atm) is based much more on your magic level than your defense level. Thus, if you buy Magic Potions, you raise your magic level by 5 (at any level, I believe). A Super Defense raises your defense by 19 at level 99. Therefore, if you want to maximize your magic defense, you may want to bring Magic Potions in addition to Defense potions, since the Magic Potion makes a 4 level increase (scaled) while the Super Defense Potion makes a 3.8 level increase (scaled).

Super attacks and strengths are worth it 100% of the time. Considering that your stats are raised by 19 each, It is a massive difference that greatly affects the speed of slayer. Use them before even considering prayer of course.

Magic potions cost much more than super defence. Also, magic decreasing by 1 will put it behind super defence.

super attack and str are definately worth it for faster kills!

 

 

i use extreme attack/str on every task..

 

about magic pots does that really work? i dont use super defence on any task but bloodvelds and aquanites are pretty annoying and i dont use karils but i have 28k extreme magic pots =o

Well if you have that many magic potions to burn, go ahead and do it.
