ghjkl Posted June 23, 2010 Share Posted June 23, 2010 The last real boss added to Runescape was the Corporeal Beast, back in summer 2008, while Tormented Demons were added in November 2008. It has been over 2 years since any real new challenge to people in rs. Since then, the Corporeal Beast, once thought unsoloable, has been soloed with a bronze spear without armour. People have been getting 50 kills at bandos soloing, and every world at every boss is packed during peak hours. Is it time for Jagex to add a new challenge with high level rewards? Dungeoneering was such a great opportunity to release new bosses and they failed. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). Like masses making the boss too easy. Or having trouble finding an open world. Oh, plus you have to risk because nobody is there to bless. Sounds cool to me. Maybe throw in a slayer requirement. Although a belt slot seems to be heavily out of the question, it would certainly add another aspect into the game. Higher level capes would be pretty interesting as well. You need to enter the room, but you can't see inside and you have to tele/make it to the other side of the room and pull a lever in order to get out. Every time you enter, there's a chance it is either: Melee, Mage, Range, or a combo of any of those. That way you don't know what type you will get, and it will be an actual CHALLENGE. Go charging in with your bandos and whip, only to find it maging your [wagon] would probably make you panic. It's ability to use prayers can be optional, and it may be teamed, except it gets harder with more people. Unfinished netherrack symbol of Khorne. Mike_Ike111 Posted June 24, 2010 Share Posted June 24, 2010 We've needed a new boss since God Wars Dungeons. Tormented Demons are way too easy, and the Corp Beast's drop rate is way too low. With a 4-5 man team you can basically AFK all GWD bosses. The Corp is boring to fight because the point of killing it is to get an elusive rare drop, however those drops take weeks if not months to actually see somebody get one. TD's are like fighting a normal monster that uses prayer and switches combat. And any other boss...is not worth mentioning. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Each instance would contain a series of creatures which would compliment the number of players as well as the players' combat levels followed by a high level boss. . Agree with UNTRADABLE drops. Some sort of monster that perhaps actually takes skill to fight or is different every time. Maybe a boss where it has been designed so that you are actually benefited by having people who use each of the combat styles on your team, instead of having everyone use the exact same gear and combat style.
