A new title I just managed to get on a complexity 6 small solo, along with Survivor which is the one just below it.

You're not getting 200 kills an hour, that's just a complete lie.

No way are you killing over 3 per minute.

Judging by your dungeoneering level, I can assume you never actually been there yourself.

Chaotic Rapier maxes at around 520, average hit is 260. It hits 1500 times in an hour at max efficiency.

Lets assume you are operating at 80% efficiency, which is an understimate IMO, that's still 1200 hits per hour.

Now lets assume that you hit 80% of the time, which is the average from my experience.

That's 960 hits per hour.

960*260=249,600 damage per hour. Frost dragons have around 1600 hp each

249600/1660=156, thats 156 kills per hour WITHOUT CANNON.

I think it would be safe to assume that a cannon can give you an additional 33% of the damage you are dishing out with rapier.

check out that vid if you don't believe me on accuracy rates, but that guy is using super sets (don't think he's using super attack either), piety, and a anti drag shield while I'm using extremes, turmoil, and a defender.

/just felt like mentioning it

13 dragons .. Lets assume that there are 3 people killing them. 150 kills per hour (for the sake of simplicity) = 450 bones per world. 81 member worlds -5 PvP worlds = 75 worlds. This means that after few weeks there are going to be introduced 33,750 bones .. hourly. 810k bones per day if the Frost Dragons are killed constantly. I am fairly sure that the dragon bones are going to drop a .. bit =/

(810k bones per day = 510,3m exp if used on guilded altars ... so 2.5 guys are going to max prayer per day :D)

First off, not that many people have extremes/turm/yak.

Then there's not always gonna be 3 people per world.

Sure d bones will drop, but maybe to 4.5k-5k, and I expect these to stable at 16k.

First off, not that many people have extremes/turm/yak.

I am fairly sure that it's going to be packed thats why I didnt said 6-7 people per dungeon to compensate the fact that not that many people have extremes/turmoil/yak.

6*75=3*150 ...

Well at 6 people a world and 75 worlds that's 300 people killing frost dragons at a time. There are around 2.5k people with 85 dung. That assumes that at any given time, 1/8 of them are killing frost dragons.

I've done the dragons for a couple hours throughout the day in W99 (a fairly crowded world), and for most of that I was the only person there. There were a few times there was one or two others for a little while, but mostly, I was alone. You don't take into account that the people with the stats/gear to get 3m+ an hour killing drags can get much more by killing other stuff, like DKs or Bandos.

I don't have maxed stats. I don't have extremes/overloads. And I don't even have a yak. But I'm still calling you a liar.

1 hour is 3,600 seconds. Two-hundred dragons per hour is a dragon every 18 seconds. You're not getting a kill every 18 seconds, regardless of what you use. And if you say you are, tell me what world you're on so I can come watch.

I get 160 kills per hour @ black dragons for slayer tasks, with a cannon, overloads, turmoil, and lvl 97 strength

frost dragons have 157 HP, black dragons have 190

that translates roughly to 170 frost dragon kills per hour once you tack on the fact that im not slayer task

I'm not the most efficient slayer in the world, and i dont wear full bandos or anything.

so 200 frost dragons seems very much possible, albeit hard to pull off.

soul split doesn't do enough to cover the damage they deal

and food slows you down. I'm not 100% sure how ud do it.

I like all the aspects of this update. I would say my only real gripe is the fact I think the logout problem should of been sorted before release and the medium dungeons should of been allowed a few weeks after the skill was released. They released both of them way too late.

The hidden locations finally add something to the rest of the game. Alot of them are quite useful and pretty good. The ring after 8+ tier seems pointless for the cost though.

I personally dont see the rush for the new dragon though.. It looks to me like a very brief profit and soon to be pretty bland pointless profit. I am guessing by my own calc that these bones will end up in the 15-18k mark and EVEN if it stabalised at 20k a bone that wouldnt be enough incentive for me to bother leveling my dung to 85 from 82. It just doesnt excite me one bit. The whole rush thing is fair enough but I just dont see that lasting very long... Long term they seem very bland like wyverns. Unique bone drop but not much else besides a chance for a visage. It would of been nice if they dropped something unique considering they have a level 85 dung requirement? In a week they will be pretty pointless or a month imo. It doesnt matter if they 3x dragon bones all that means is they be 3x the cost and stabilise around there. So dragon bones still probably be the best option for the most part. Doubt long term it will even lower dragon bone prices.

Anyway, I think dung has certainly been improved. (Dont really need that construct for a farming patch anymore though as on medium dungeons there is a much bigger chance of one spawning lol. That kinda fixed that problem for me. However its still nice that its possible.)

I did a bit more training today but once I got 82 I think I cant be bothered doing anymore until part 2 is released. Which im kinda grateful they made level 85 rubbish.. Or I might push myself to train it. So so long for like 6+ months I guess. Its my least fav skilll.

I'd love for frost dragons to be a possible slayer task (once you have 85 dungeoneering).

I just take a yak full of monks and eat when I'm running around picking up bones and loading up the cannon lol.

Btw you have to take in account that frost dragons have much lower defense than black drags.

The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was that there wasn't a high lvl construction requirement. And the requirements for the other construction stuff is pretty weird. Other than that, I've got a new motivation to train Dungeoneering. =)

i just assumed that was roughly accounted for by the fact that i don't have the +15% accuracy from slayer helmet

*shrug* like i said I believe you.

The ring upgrades are

Especially the skiller ones.

The con spot is fine but wtf is the deal with the cape rack. Is that a joke or what?

Vanity over usefulness? I know some [developmentally delayed] is going to lay down a rack over top my oven.

Medium dungeons for solos is great. Now soloing 1-25 isn't a bad deal.

The dungeons with dungeoneering as a gate keeper is a big  (quests have always been a great gatekeeper)

Rune ores are going to fall like the rock they are and the new bones were priced way to high if people are getting 100 an hr.

He just successfully trolled you with "courtesy" and managed to get a reaction out of you. Lol

Lovely update. The ring upgrade prices become pointless after pretty much the first 4 or so tiers, but I pretty much predicted that would be the thing they'd drop the bomb on.

Finally, perhaps Prayer levels will only become ridiculously priced instead of their current status of very ridiculously priced. This update is surprisingly great as a start towards killing off some of the inflation we've been having for a while.

It would be great if they give us like 5 more floors sometime soon, because I don't think I can wait for later this year to get the rest of the floors on my prestige.

I'm going to try that with a team sometime and see their reaction.

Does blaster mage ring work with hail storm?

never mind. only works with elementals

[spoiler=click you know you wanna]
Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!

Well if you really wanted to tell us all that maybe you should have written that, because, between the lines of insulting jagex and saying that this update was the bare minimum for dungeoneering to be considered a skill, there was rather a sarcastic tone about it, not the cheery you are now showing it to be.

I said it can now be considered a skill, not a bare minimum to be considered a skill. It was a joking tone (because its now finally a skill), but not a sarcastic tone.

Sorry if you took it the wrong way

TL;DR

Dung isnt skill

Now dung is skill

Everyones happy.

Epic.
