Wizz
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NUBVcit5VM A topic where we can all Discuss anything Scott Pilgrim. As always, put spoilers in tags. [spoiler=Synopsis]The series is about 23-year-old Canadian Scott Pilgrim, a slacker, hero, and part-time bassist who is living in Toronto and plays bass guitar in the band "Sex Bob-Omb." He falls in love with American delivery girl Ramona V. Flowers, but must defeat her seven "evil exes" in order to date her. There are in total 6 volumes of Scott Pilgrim. I just finished reading all the volumes today and I must say I'm looking forward for the movie. I just wished they wouldn't pick Micheal Cera as Scott Pilgrim, but eh lets see if it works!Discuss! redhaloguy
The movie looks pretty good being directed by Edgar Wright. I don't know much about anything else. My friend though is a super fanatic about it.. and won't shut up about it... :wall: If you do things right people won't be sure you've done anything at all. nine naked men
Looks pretty awesome. If it's from the guy who made Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, it's gotta be worth the watch. I've never actually heard of the series, though, so I guess I won't be disappointed if they butcher it, at least. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
Demoli
Interesting choice of actors. I never ready the comics, even though I've been looking for them for ages. The movie style reminds of of "No More Heroes". Don't know why.
Wizz
Ay it's a good series to read, but I promise you if you read all of them in one sitting your going to get confused. Wongton is better than me in anyway~~
Skeptical
I'll probably see it; looks pretty good to me. "Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security." indy500fan
The comics were pretty good, but they get a lot more hype than I think is due. This film though is directed/written by Edgar Wright and has Mary Elizabeth Winstead in it, so it could possible be the movie with the greatest amount of win ever. dsavi
I would really like to read the comics. The movie trailer looked really good to me, but of course I haven't read the comics as previously mentioned. E: Awesome, the library system has it. With SIX reservations on the first one. :wall:
Denith
Been looking forward to this film for ages :D. This and the final entry to the Blood and Ice Cream trilogy. I'm going to read the comic after watching the film just in case I find the film not true to its source material (like kick ass).

Diesel
I'm really looking forward to the soundtrack for this movie (the new Beck song more specifically). I hope the movie itself isn't just a corny money-grab using the recent popularity of Michael Cera. I've never read any of the comics, so I don't know what style they were written in. Kimberly
I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired of seeing a 21yr old male being cast as a 16yr old boy. Seriously. The "hopeless but adorable male" persona was cute at first, but now it's annoying. It actually is making me shut down mentally, and I dread seeing this movie because of him. Scott Pilgrim is 23, so he is actually playing someone older than his age. That is, assuming they use the same age as Scott in the comics. Also hopeless but adorable is halfway right but halfway completely wrong, once again it would be best to read to understand.
Denith
Michael Cera is still playing the same role regardless of his new character's age though. Hope Johnny Simons's role in the film isn't like some of his previous ones.
unknownmasterofnothing
Michael Cera really showed a different character than normal, but with some similar qualities to his arrested development character. I absolutely loved this movie. I saw a screening and plan to watch it again when it comes out. It is a non stop barrage of jokes which really works. It beats out my number one movie Fight Club. obfuscator
Yeah Michael Cera is the same in every movie. He's like a young, Canadian Will Ferrel. Still, the movie looks decent. I'll probably go see it. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
unkn0wnwarrior
It looks pretty good, although I have never heard of Scott Pilgrim until the movie. I'll definitely watch it when it comes to my local drive-in. Which it should do in the first couple of weeks.

Mr_Adam
Going to see it in an hour. Hadn't heard of it before a few weeks ago, but it looks like something I would love too much. I'm excited, and then I think I'm gonna read the comics.
Peronix
Just got back form the movie, and I loved it. Don't think I've ever LOL'd so much during a movie. I'll admit it's defiantly not for everyone, and I just know the "intellectuals" are going to [cabbage] all over it. But whatever, haters gon' hate
Mr_Adam
BEST MOVIE I'VE SEEN IN THEATERS IN A WHILE. SEE IT. OUR THEATER HAD MAYBE 10 PEOPLE AT 9:30. If you don't get it though, you're NOT going to like it. But if you do, you're going to love it TOO much. In it's element, it's a god.
Peronix
Btw, I just got through reading book 1 of the comic and so far it seems the movie has been pretty loyal to the comic. A few things were different, but then again a lot of the lines were the same. Most notably it seems scott and friends weren't as big of nerds as they were in the movie. But TBH that just made it better
