stonewall337
I've done a few dungeons where people claim to be hardcore rushers. Here was their strategy: Put on shadow slik hood and good weapon (both of these binded, of course)and rush through the rooms and hope there aren't any mages. Ignore all monsters except mages and a few weak things like rats and bats so you can pick up their food drops. Once you find boss room, clear the room with the boss door in it, and complete the dungeon if you haven't already. Once the dungeon is complete, everyone rushes the boss, usually dying at least twice. A group of 135+s taught me this, and they let me try it with them for a few rounds. We did almost 7 minute dungeons which was insane, but in the end the exp looked pretty lousy because the level mod and deaths killed the exp multiplier. I'm not sure if its faster exp per hour though.Ye, you were doing it wrong. [hide=Drops]Araxxor Eye x1 Leg pieces x2GWD: 5000 Addy bar Steam B Staff x3 Z Spear x6 Sara. On another note, to whoever made the note about the unlocking of doors, I couldn't agree more. More often that not I nominate myself as the key-guy as I know I can do it fast and efficiently and it really [bleep]s me off when I unlock a door and two people rush to it to open it before me. I've confronted so many people about it and the best reply they can muster is, "lol, why not?".

tortilliachp
I dg with pro teams. that means a large floor should NEVER take more than 36-7 mins. On average they take less than 30 mins. I would never kick anyone. I just add them to my increasingly long blacklist of people i don't dung with. 0 = added to blacklist 1. Fishing 0, alching arrows and buying is faster2. Cooking food only when VERY neccessary (i.e. keyer tells you to) 23. Farming mushrooms 0. why? just why?4. Crafting ranged/mage armor 5 (Depends on what your boss is)5. Farming herbs 5. looting herbs yes please, farming when needed yes please, farming in anticipation cause no gd's / stuff to do yes please.6. Mixing melee/defence potions 3. no defence pots. maybe a melee pot for boss, depending on what boss it is7. High alching 10 you can high alch mid-combat, there's no reason not to high alch, unless the team already has a TOnnn of cash.8. Mining Ores 3. ores for altar? yes, otherwise strict no.9. Smelting ores / Smithing armor 0. don't do it.10. Thieving chests 10, better than alching as less clicking is required11. Crafting combat/Non combat runes 7 (for gt's and cures, combats only for bosses when it's needed (riftsplitter) and when excessive amounts of knights are to be anticipated)12. Cutting trees 7 only t10 logs. you need them to cook food (from your cash) if someone needs to prep for boss (which SHOULD be rare), you may need bows or staves, 3-4 logs never hurt.13. building altar at base: 10. this is what the fist cash is used for14. looting cash piles from monster drops. have a designated altar person doing this, for your altar, or seeds for herbs if you hit skill doors when you don't have herbs. 80+ dung reqs, w117? forget it. key yourself or have someone you know are good at keying key for you. if possible always have 3 people you know are good at dunging, then the other two don't really matter much

Thus ruining it for your teammates in that dungeon AND for all the people who don't have the req's to join a dungeoneering clan and whose only resort is w117. I myself don't really like rushing, clearing everything but dead ends is a lot more enjoyable imo.But I dislike random w117-teams filled with people that have your attitude even more. I don't see another option than joining a dungeoneering clan and rush too... Thanks. <_< (this is as unpersonal as your post )

Golvellius
I do all that crap.Somebody on the team has to.You don't need 5 people with no food running room to room trying not to kill stuff.Somebody has to make armour.Somebody has to come up with food.Somebody has to make pots for the boss. The only people that annoy me are the elitests and leecher noobs (hi I need to afk brb...then right before boss... Arcane_Rift
I'm sure some of the points were posted but I'll re-post for emphasis and due to the fact I don't want to read through the entire post. A lot of the best teams will require you to have a shadow silk hood to rush with them. Your second bind should be a prom 2h or spear++. Shadow silk hood can be pretty elusive if you're unlucky (I'm 200k off 90 and only have seen 1 drop) so until you can get a hood bind a prom plate. A few other pieces of armor will work here but this seems to one of the easiest and most attainable ones to get.Combat 130+Listen to the keyers orders and act on them as quickly as possible.Make laws and cosmics for gating as soon as you start (I bind laws as my ammunition spot to improve help with rushing 1 -24). You can make cure runes too but I usually buy 2 or 3 cure potions and rarely use them. If you aren't the keyer then purchase tools for each door. For the most part you will not need to farm any items. Loot chests and bring alch runes with you to gain gp along the way (mostly used for building an altar at base). If your team is having a tough time with food have someone fish while others are taking care of guardian rooms or if you have enough gp, buy it and cook it.Clear only guardian rooms and puzzle rooms that contain non-hood friendly monsters or the entire room if one or more of your members is hoodless. If a skill door requires a potion to open then have someone make the pot and farm the herb if need be. This can be done while others are clearing guardian rooms and/or the keyers is opening other doors. If guardian rooms are cleared then run to the furthest doors that are unable to be opened and gate the location so the door is easily accessible once the key is found. This usually can be done once the door is found but sometimes a person may have a different pertinent location gated.Only time you need a bow is to fight Lex. Stand in the corner and fight him and this way you will avoid his book barrage.Only time you need attack runes is to fight Rammer.Fast larges can be completed (opening every door) in less than 30 minutes but it depends on the dungeon and the keyer. Even fast keyers can get a stubborn dungeon that can take over 40. ~ Arcane Rift ~:: 99 Smithing - 2007-03-04 :: :: :: 99 Crafting - 2007-06-18 :: 99 Fletching - 2007-08-27 :::: :: 99 Strength - 2009-05-28 :: :: :: :::: :: :: 99 Prayer - 2011-11-27 :: :: 99 Slayer - 2012-01-15 :::: :: 99 Summoning - 2012-12-07 :: 99 Firemaking - 2012-12-09 :: 99 Woodcutting - 2013-01-17 :: 99 Mining - 2013-01-31 ::
