Does anyone know what sections/parts of GIMP i need to read about to make: Digital Art: Signatures please???

 

 

 

I have checked GIMP Talk for reading: and they have lots of complicated stuff and not much illustrations. Anyhow i do have found a good site, but i need to know what i should read about.

 

 

 

So what do i need to know please? I have already read about Layers, Channels, and some more

Stick with PS. Depending on what version you have. Upgrade, or convert to gimp imo. Apparantly on other forums. 2.6 = CS2.

Alright, so I downloaded GIMP a couple months ago and have just been fooling around with it and testing stuff. My friend asks me to make him a banner which I do and then try to upload it using photobucket. The format that GIMP uses was invalid so is there any site that I could use to upload in the GIMP format? (which I think is .xcf) Or if I can't, which would be a good change in format?
