October 5, 201015 yr Your learn skills at set levels. 18 is the 2nd one. Ah, ok, I see. Then I'm almost to getting a 2nd skill. Hopefully it's something useful like a transportation skill. Gah, it takes forever to get to towns.
October 6, 201015 yr So did you guys see the blog post? ccording to some unknown laws of the Godville universe, every hero should have a company in his dangerous adventures. Traditionally, heroes look for likely minded creatures with similar IQ level so they feel comfortable around them. Once they find one, they will gladly start spending their time, nerves and money for a beloved pet, occasionally getting something nice and worthless in return. Despite of the utter uselessness, personal brutes are still popular among Godvilles inhabitants, especially now, since only today heroes had finally discovered how exactly restrain them. Once the hero reaches his adulhood (level 18), he begins to look for a critter to domesticate among semi-defeated monsters. In theory, the older and more experienced the hero gets, the better pet he could tame. In practice, however, its very likely that he will stick to the first appropriate one he meet. Still, it can take a while to find that appropriate one among gazillions of monsters out there. Its important to note that it is up to the hero to tame the pet, not to the god. Hero finds the one he likes, bridles it, and even gives it a name all by himself. God has no control over the pawns brute whatsoever, so just relax and leave it to your champion. Like their masters, pets can level-up, get stronger and become even more useful. And just like the heroes, sometimes they die. Depending on the type and class, pets can have different abilities. Some of them can quickly perform urgent in-the-middle-of-the-battle surgeries, restoring masters health. More aggressive ones may prefer to give the enemy a hard-time instead. And some very special ones can be strong enough to quickly grab the owner and escort him in some random (and hopefully right) direction. It also worth noting that pets are quite to reluctant to help for most of the time, which doesnt really matter that much, because true heroes are going to love them anyway. Besides the pets, here are some other smaller changes that got into the pipeline: * PvP duels now have better visual separation of turns, which should make is easier for gods to understand whats going on. * The issue with overlong duels was addressed as well. Somewhere after turn 50, the damage (and heals) inflicted to the heroes in the duel will slowly start to increase. * For easier troubleshooting of Turbo and Super-Turbo update modes we launching special website, where you can test if it works for you or not. More on this in the turbo mode FAQ. We get pets. Ponies!
October 6, 201015 yr Skills are learned every 3 levels past 15 (so 18, 21, 24, etc.). I'm starting to like my hero's skills (both combat, levels 7 and 6). They, when used, pretty much KO whatever he's fighting, and since they are decently leveled now, are used quite often. Pets have been released! (Read the latest blog post) The relevant details: Heroes need to be level 18, and apparently gods can do nothing to influence pets in any way - heroes are completely on auto-pilot regarding getting a pet, feeding it, training it, etc. Level 21 for my hero should be sometime on Friday. Again - transportation skill or I dismember him limb from limb. Also, I don't think I ever posted my hero for the front page, so here he is: http://godvillegame.com/gods/Weathermatt
October 6, 201015 yr I currently have a tentacle demon egg in my inventory. Is this a sign of my first pet? :ohnoes:
October 6, 201015 yr 21:59I looked into the kind eyes of the vanquished monster and suddenly decided Dust Bunny, you'll be my pet! And I'll call you Scrat. Bandaged his wounds, gave him a bone and fastened the leash. And with that, a TIF hero has its first pet. No idea what it does yet, will report back if I notice anything.
October 6, 201015 yr If ideas you submit have a high "Yes:No" ratio (as in, around 30:20), will they usually be added into the game?
October 6, 201015 yr Where do you check the yes:no ratio of your ideas? By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .
October 6, 201015 yr Where do you check the yes:no ratio of your ideas?Ideabox -> my ingenious pieces -> viola. Hope that is what you were looking for. Unfinished netherrack symbol of Khorne. Never forget. ~creeper face w/single tear~ DO YOU HEAR THE VOICES TOO?!?!
October 6, 201015 yr Where do you check the yes:no ratio of your ideas?Ideabox -> my ingenious pieces -> viola. Hope that is what you were looking for. That's if the voting is done. If it's not it will say it's being voted on. If you want to check on it while it's being voted on you have to find it in its category and vote on it yourself so you can see the numbers. So has anyone else noticed, when was the last time you got an invitation? I haven't seen one for weeks. Ponies!
October 6, 201015 yr 02:22Scrat refuses to drag a cart that I found in a ravine. Naughty dust bunny! Now I have to leave the good cart on a road.02:25Noticed how Scrat snatched hardly earned popped balloon from my knapsack and started to gnaw it. Fortunately, I took it away in time. Bad dust bunny! Scrat seems to be quite the useless thing, so far. He will occasionally rub one of my hero's wounds and heal a small amount of hp (about 5, the one time I noticed it), but that appears to be the only benefit so far. He is only level 1, though.
October 6, 201015 yr Author I can't imagine a dust bunny being overly useful. If he has healed, I guess he is a healing pet. Want to be my friend? Look under my name to the left<<< and click the 'Add as friend' button!Big thanks to Stevepole for the signature!^
October 6, 201015 yr Don't worry, me either. Pets don't love me. I just hope my hero names it something better than "Scrat" Ponies!
October 6, 201015 yr Author So I have decided to make my hero a little evil. The first time I punish him this happens: 16:35Suddenly the booklet The 100 Things I'd Do If I Ever Became An Evil Overlord fell from the sky and hit Monorail Cat. Nice throw, Exalted One! October 6, 201015 yr I got an invite last week. It takes a long time for ideas to be added. I still haven't received any gratitude for my invites yet, yet I've recieved 4 for bug/grammar reports. October 6, 201015 yr I started with 5 invites. Is this normal? My hero's close to level 10 but also dead broke. He keeps doing stuff like this: 16:45Found a corpse of a less fortunate hero. Left him some money so he could afford a good dinner. Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <3
October 7, 201015 yr Aww your hero is so kindhearted. Mine just robs the guy. That's probably the kind of action that (literally) gets him killed every other day. ~It's Super Effective! October 7, 201015 yr Rough day so far. Logged in to my hero being dead (for only 90 minutes or so, not too bad), only to get involved in a skirmish about 5 minutes later when I didn't have enough godpower for an encouragement. I lost by 13 hp to a guy who had about +4 or +5 on me in all equipment. One heal and I might have won...oh well. Scrat is level 2 now and still mostly useless. He found me a regular item once when traveling, and will occasionally heal a small amount, but overall is still just something furry to kick down the road in front of my hero.
October 7, 201015 yr 21:22 Mysterious forces created a golden brick in my wallet. Almighty One, was that you? From punishing my hero.
October 7, 201015 yr Saw lightning flashes on the horizon and a hero trying to avoid the wrath of his god. Poor guy... Our relationship, Almighty One, is much better - complete harmony and understanding. Awww... now level up so I can start some arena battles  Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <3
