Hungry Jacks is better than McDonalds

Featured Replies

In Belgium some people drive over the border to Holland just to score a whopper.

I don't blame them.

But in the end homemade burgers are the best

WTF your name is my old name

Anyway, I haven't had BK in a long time, since it's too far away to justify going to. Same for Wendy's on that matter, even though they have a bacon cheeseburger on the dollar menu. Mickey D's is just closer, more convenient, and easier to order since I know the basic menu. And the snack wraps are really good.

Dollar menus are where it's at.

Both are terrible TBH. Well... I haven't actually had a burger from either for a long time, simply because I can't even stand the thought of what is inside them. I only ever eat chips & occasionally ice cream from fast food places.

Go eat a real burger :P

After working at McDonald's for 3 years, I still prefer their food over all the other fast food restaurants. Though, I haven't been back there since I quit 2 months ago. I didn't know they removed the Big'N'Tasty, it was a decent sandwich if you removed some of the garbage, like the mayo, ketchup, and pickles. My favorite thing at McDonald's is there chicken strips, and their grilled salads are quite decent as well. I don't really like other fast food restaurants. Burger King is decent as best, and I don't like Wendy's at all. I've been to 5 Guys, but it still wasn't as good as McDonald's.

In-n-Out is the best fast food burgers anywhere.

So screw McJacks.

Hell yes.

Hell yes.

Hell yes.

If that wasn't be suicidal to even order it would probably be the greatest culinary creation in the history of the universe.

Wow, that burger looks insanely greasy...Like, you could get a severe acne outbreak just from looking at it.

But GOD IT'D TASTE SO DAMN GOOD.

If you had $85 you too can have this burger. :shades:

And to whoever said In-n-Out was overrated, yes it is, but I think it's worth it though. Though recently their burger and fries have lost their quality from years ago (you have to add your own salt now - damn health nuts) I still consider it the best fast food burger.

Though I've tasted loads of other Mom n' Pop burger joint's food and it was much better than In-n-Out.

So...is the so-called-wonderful White Castle food any good, Midwesterners?

Why is everyone so snooty about McDonalds? It's seriously not that bad. I've never had a problem with McDonalds - it's gorgeous!

Yeah I don't understand the hate either. I mean I know it's unhealthy, and I know that (most) fast food chains are pretty bad in the animal cruelty department...but for the sake of simplicity and because of economic reasons, I really don't mind fast food. Except KFC's fried chicken (haha yeah their staple item is the one thing I don't like about them...).

Smaller restaurants (and the occasional homemade burger) are generally better, but like I said...convenient and cheap wins here for me. And the food really isn't that bad, although I probably have acquired taste lol.

Personally, I prefer smaller, classier places if I'm going to get take out. Over here we have "Velvet Burger", which is usally pretty expensive, but on tuesday they do a two for one deal, which is great.

In a way, the £1 chippy in my town has served me well for a long time. A portion of good old chips will do me well, but when I'm out in the city or shopping and I'm near a McDonalds I'll almost always go there.

I agree with Five Guys. It's the best given the portion sizes and food quality. Though, not being 24 hours lets other fast food joints around here boost ahead on Thurs-Sat when everyone is drinking and wants a 3am burger fast.

YES Five Guys is so good, they just opened one here the other week and I went to it last weekend, it's awesome.

Although interestingly enough I'm going to have McDonald's for dinner. Honestly I don't see what the complaints are for, I like them.

I read somewhere that in this poll, the world's favorite fries and burgers are from...

Fries: McDonald's

Burgers: Five Guys

I've never even heard of Five Guys before.

A tip for my fellow fast food lovers: You can sometimes get fast food delivered to your house via taxi. (Depends on the taxi services in your town). Just call them, get them to get your order, then bring it to your location. For me, it's $15.00 + the price of the order. (No, I was not the idiot paying when we did this)

But I found out the often mix your order up, and tend to get double big macs confused with normal big macs <.<

Racheya: I agree that all the McDonalds hate is a bit unwarranted but are you really saying you've never had a bad McDonalds experience before in your life? You are a rare exception. Or maybe it's just your area. There are so many times when I get stale fries, sloppy burgers, bad service, etc. That being said, I'd still much rather have McDonalds over half of the frozen grocery foods I've been having to endure lately. McDonalds serves its purpose as a shabby but convenient spur-of-the-moment place to eat.

That's what fast food is. It's cheap and, well, fast, so that people can order food on impulse, rather than sitting for an hour or so in a restaurant waiting for a $20 meal. And you can take it home with you, so you can eat your big mac or whatever while sitting on your couch in your underwear.

Both of them make me ill. But BK just tastes better.

Woah there buddy. Pump your breaks. 8 dollars is not cheap for a burger the diameter of my fist and the thickness of, if I'm lucky, my thumbdrive.

Fast food hasn't been cheap since the 1960's. If you mean cheap quality though, then I apologize. That crap certainly isn't good for you.

It depends on what items you choose. You can get a double cheeseburger for around a buck - with all the condiments and the service of someone preparing it for you. I consider that a great deal compared to all of my other options. Some items are extremely overboard though, such as their $5 salads.

Cheap comparatively... $8 for a burger as opposed to $15 for a burger at a sit-down place, and you're in and out of there quicker.

As someone (Dzi?) pointed out though, often better off cooking your own food. You'll know what kind of quality goes in it and can make it based on how you want it rather than how they're mass produced...

Toasted bread, for example... =P~

Both of them make me ill. But BK just tastes better.

Meh it costs me like $6 to eat a full meal at Wendy's and like $3-$4 at Taco Bell. Just gotta know how to order :P.

$4 at McDonald's can get you 2 McDoubles + 2 McChickens. Quality aside, that's a pretty good deal.

McDonald's is good, but I suggest limiting visits to about 3 per month.

Burger King sucks. Overpriced and crap food in my opinion.

Five Guys is good. A little pricey but it's certainly got its bank for the buck, esp. when it comes to the bags of fries.

No In-N-Outs in IL, nor have I had any experience with any outside the state.

This should've gone in the Food thread, though.

Of course I'd had a bad McDonalds experience. There's one McD's near us that constantly gets orders wrong and by the time you've driven home with the food it's too late when you realise you're missing a fries. My mum even stands there at the counter checking everything before we leave now. BUT that doesn't stop me from enjoying the meal. It's a very British thing if you ask me. If they make a mistake, we don't get up in arms about it. They forgot to take the pickles off? We just take them off ourselves and carry on *shrugs*
