For the past couple of days, I've been thinking about money making and came across rushing.

Now, usually, rushing isn't that profitable unless you down whips, etc.

 

In +0 PvP/BH worlds, people don't normally pray melee but are still ready to do so. And that's where the ring of vigour comes in; dragon claws followed by Korasi's.

But, sadly, it requires 50.000 tokens and I don't want to waste my time.

 

So, is it worth getting? What do you think?

yes, if you are willing to risk hours of work + claws, and think you will get consistant results with the rushing, and not die!

ring of vigour takes about 5 hours or so of work, which is cheaper than a pair of claws. if you can afford to risk claws then you can risk a ring of vigour.

Of course Ring of Vigour is worth it, I own one. So this noob comes up on RS and says, "I R PRAWN J00" or something, I slipped the Ring on and said, "I have a Ring of Vigour, NOOB" and they asked "a what?" and I waved it in front of their face impatiently saying "Ring of Vigour, it possesses awesome powers -" and it falls off and rolls away. Me and the noob made a dogpile trying to get it, but it slips between our grasp and falls in the gutter.... where my mom retrieved it.

 

And sold it on eBay for $12.99 with which I ordered a pizza, some noodles and a toothpick that I used for non-dental purposes.

Ring of vigor is useful for msb, korasi, and 2 dbow specs in a row if you are in safe pvp.

It gives you a 10% discount when you use special attacks, ie: EE special only takes up 90% i think?

Ya, its a 10% discount of the special attack you are using.

 

Example:

(DDS) 25% is reduced 10% to 22.5%

(Claws) 50% is reduced 10% to 45%.

(Excal) 100% is reduced 10% to 90%

ect..

 

The only *Major uses* for the ring would be:

1) Slayer where you use recover specials and special attacks often

2) Claws into K-sword specs

3) D Scim special into Claws / (2) DDS Spec.

4) Getting a 3'rd special out of a SWH, (and 3 additional per spec transfer)

It's not really worth getting for slayer as the only place you'd use special attack restores is kurdals dungeon, and 120-160 LP per spec >> 10% more special attacks. Also i think you forgot 2x MSB(which can still be potent).

The thing is, I'm mainly going to use it for rushing (either dragon claws followed by Korasi's or dragon scimitar followed by dragon claws)...

It's been proven that rushing never gets you as many kills/as much profit as honest death matches. Unless you get extremely lucky and manage to get more then two successful rushes per hour.

 

But in the beginning, PvP isn't really for profit, more for fun. You'd be better off bossing for cash.

I think a lot of people are missing the fact that it only has one less strength point bonus than berserker ring. That's why I bought it.. Then sold my zerker for 4m or whatever it used to be. :P

Yeah, I'll take my +8 strength bonus and spec restores over +3 strength and one or two extra specs an hour.

It is pretty useless for most things such as slayer, but for rushing it is awesome. The two best combos it lets you do is, if someone is praying melee you can do d scim spec to take down their prayer>claw spec>chaotic maul hit which is a great way to down other rushers and high riskers. Or you can do what you said, claw spec>korasis which is better than two claw specs because most people are so used to rushers now they are ready to pray melee after the first spec and of course korasi hits through melee pray
