Youre right chopping willows is way more fun. Gotta love dropping or banking every once in a while. Its so fun. But then teaks are better. But with willows you drop and bank way more often so it is way more fun

Subjective. The OP finds cutting trees fun, regardless of which type. So cutting trees is fun.

His goal is to get 10k of every log. He finds it fun to set and goal and work for it. How the hell is he stupid for that?

^ My least favorite words to hear while I was training past 99. I suggest never wear the cape or tell anyone your lvl.

This is what I do. I cut magic tress due to the fact it was a goal of mine to cut them when I had 99 woodcutting.

 

If you wear a cape, just don't worry what others to say. Tell them you like training the skill anyway you see fit.

What I want to know is how you didn't have enough maples from MTK to get 99 fming. I mean, I have easily sold like 70k maple logs from there, and I still have tens of thousands just sitting in my bank.

 

But if you want to DIY your skills, more power too you.

Its a bit of caring about silly things such as why someone finds one tree to be funner then another as much as why someone cares if people are confused about the matter.

It's funny how some people will glorify the work of crippled accounts such as lvl 3 skillers or challenge accounts like Vilandra made but will make fun of someone having a set of goals that is unefficient from standard training.

 

Someone getting max kill count in GWD will be praised even though there are better training methods out there. Someone collecting different types of logs will get a frown from the community.

People hate when you train firemaking past 99 even more. I wear the cape because I find it amusing to see annoying people make fun of me completely disregarding that they don't even have a skill past 85.

Oh, my mistake - it isn't that you can't read. It's the fact that you conveniently skip over the posts addressing your point, explaining in detail why it is not a simple matter of using the ignore list, and then you assume that, since your point has been unchallenged (even though it has actually been deflowered in reality - a word you may be unfamiliar with), you are some highly renowned cool smart-ass on a Runescape forum, just for the sole purpose of helping you get sleep at night, which is an immense implication of being self-centered. Or maybe you can't read. I'm just postulating logically feasible theories, akin to your postulation that the OP does not possess the necessary skills in order to implement the ignore feature during game play, which you got from him simply stating his annoyance with the whole "lol this is the rite way to play runescape kid" mentality.

Furthermore, you're trying to bring up the out-of-sight out-of-mind mantra. If I never met a pro-lifer arguing against abortion, would that suggest that there is no reason for me to argue against the pro-life opinion? Nope, even if I didn't have to actually deal with them, the existence of their ideals is enough to incite a response. Adding person after person to your ignore or having chat off altogether does not negate the fact that people still believe there is only one universal way to play an RPG - which is what the argument is about. It has never been about trying to hide from those people or wanting to censor what they have to say.

 

PS: I think ignore is pretty useless (aside from controlling spam flooding). Know your enemy.

I thought I already went over this with you. Unlike me, you do not catch on very fast. Here it is once more: It is not getting "picked on" or "bullied" that bothers him as he blatantly pointed out himself, as did others - it is the mentality people have that there should only be one universal way to play the game which is the cause of him complaining. Not that he feels threatened - that he feels the popular opinion is stupid.

 

The ignore/chat-off feature is not only irrelevant, but it is often a terrible suggestion too. People prefer being social on MMOs. Furthermore, if OP puts someone on the ignore list, that does not negate the fact that he thinks their opinion is foolish and that he wants to criticize it on the forums. How would putting the people who have annoyed him on the ignore list alter the composition of this rant?

OP never knocked on someone's bedroom door demanding a response to his rant, so your analogy is a bit flawed. The fact of the matter is that whilst criticizing his inability to brush trivial stupid issues off, you are continuously (even moreso than the OP is) discussing, bumping, and even exacerbating a trivial issue that could just as easily be brushed off. Some might even venture to call it irony. But yet, there is something in your head that tells you that you're an exception - you're different. Correct me if I am wrong, but I'm guessing it's the God-Complex?
